  1. Yet the "forprofit" cross-breeders are selecting for temperament over looks, while purebreed breeders may well put looks first. Where does it say in the "crossbreed" standard what the temperament should be? And why do they all use "non shedding" as the biggest selling point if they are breeding for temperament foremost?
  2. ...like a crossbreed? :D What? WHY doesn't it cross their minds? So you think it is a better option to change our current breeds rather than educating people to make more informed choices?
  3. Wrong. Sell your dogs to people who understand their needs and provide them.
  4. Gee, don't they understand that won't change while people continue to leave dogs unattended and unexercised in back yard all day. Oh, but let's breed the bark out the dog so WE can be happy, who cares about the dog!
  5. What? How about the average dog buyers choose a breed they can manage in the first place? Why change the breeds because idiots don't do their research?
  6. Question please? Have you found that a big pup turns out to be a big adult, and vice versa?
  7. Yep. If cost price is up to 10,000 I hate to think what the regular price would be.
  8. I have overheard staff in PP one day telling potential customers that the fluffy doodles in the window had registration papers. There is way more than meets the eye to this story. It reeks.
  9. Wouldn't it be nice to hear the real story, including the breeder's story, before we label a media report "disgusting"? Don't forget there are BYB's who call themselves registered when they are in fact only registered with the local council.
  10. Milton is bleach = ammonia! Go the white vinegar.
  11. That's not a UTI, it's excitement peeing which is a behavioural thing. The AB's would have been broad spectrum to cover all but the most exotic of bugs. http://www.trainpetdog.com/dog-nervous-behavior.html
  12. The AB's would have resolved the symptoms by now if the cause was an infection. Was she squatting and weeing purposefully when she had the accident, or was she incontinent? Try googling 'Spay incontinence' if she is otherwise well.
  13. Absolutely. A Fauve went Minor in Group in Melbourne just last week, and I often see rarer breeds go up in different groups.
  14. The Lab gave birth to a dog toy?

  16. As already mentioned for those who cannot seem to take the time to read threads before posting, docking is legal in WA when performed by vets, for prophylatic (preventative) and therapeutic reasons. However, this is not a for and against docking thread, it is a thread merely reporting a case whereby a vet failed to properly organise the appropriate paperwork before performing a veterinary procedure interstate.
