Yep. Local members for your ward (if you have them), Mayor, General Manager, Animal Companion Manager etc. So sorry you've had such a bad time - but onya Stan for keeping your girls amused! Actually, why can't the council go for Menacing rather than Dangerous? Isn't that the point of having the new rules?

Yes, my feet are dizzy too! So is the wheel on the cheap shopping trolley I bought to bring home a Studio Sebastian bowl. Sadly they may be collector's items, as the man who makes them is in hospital after a stroke and his lovely wife is very sadly contemplating giving up the showing and the business. She's such a sweetie. T and I had a wonderful time but didn't get to the dogs until the Lagotti were being shown because I like sleep-ins and Tracey had to divert via goats (and an affectionate Brahman bull). We did meet lots of lovely dogs and Tapua had a very successful day (not compared to Driftway but I heard a lot of show-talk - NOT from Pauline, others - about how Italian judges might know each other...) Unfortunately the terriers were hidden away again so I didn't meet one Aussie Terrier Did run into Perygrin and had Borzoi smooches A bit of the show layout has changed so we took a bit longer than we wanted to find some of the usual attractions. Also the free food lines were ridiculous. Strangely the showbag tent wasn't too bad - just exxy as expected. A great day at the show - and T's going back again in a week for Weims, and probably more goats. Crazy goat lady!

Congrats to puppy Earl! I wish they'd extend the cover over the crowd seats too! I'm always burnt or drenched. I'm all prepared to be an annoying member of the public Can you put a saddle on that? How much does it cost to feed? So if they're guide dogs they must be very smart and not need training? Do they come in other colours? I know you're about to go outside somewhere but can I have a proper cuddle? Gee they sleep a lot. Why don't they do anything? Isn't it cruel keeping them in little cages? Why, don't they like fairy floss and chips? Why, don't they like children? He's just playing! Do you have to brush them like that every day? :)

How was it Shelby? Is there heaps of free food in the supermarket dome? I'm hoping the rain holds off a little bit tomorrow - but at least it will keep the crowds down. I hope my Aussie Terrier breeder is there as well as my favourite Lab breeder :)

Wish I'd taken photos More like a small goose with a ducky beak, or a white Muscovy with clearer eyes. Heavier at the front than the back, but he/she was a bit droopy and weary looking.

I saw a sad looking large white domestic duck sitting being picked on by Mynahs in Arthur Street, Punchbowl, this morning. It's in a non-fenced front yard of a newish duplex, at the station end (where all the cats are). I can't drive and have training today otherwise I might have waited with it until the pound opened, or taken it to the local duckpond. Council after-hours service didn't think it would come under that jurisdiction and WIRES don't look after non-natives. RSPCA emphatically state they are not a pound and give other numbers such as ARH rather than get involved. Anyone want a duck before the local feral cats get it? Looks like an old style farm duck - at least twice the size of the Peking we had as a pet as children.

Oh no! Poor Maddie and Stan and Mum! That's so scary. Stupid owner. I know you'll report them but still it's so sucky and wrong that this happened. I can't dash up the F3 but consider the hugs from me and licks from my pups delivered. If you want to have stable calm nurse dogs with you for your first walk back let me know and we'll see if we can get there. Stevie has been a therapy dog at training and for fosters. I hope maddie's wounds heal quickly, and her skin sticks together ok.

Horse gumnuts = like dog dry food I think. Compressed processed food out of a big bag. Good for them mostly, if there's no green feed around. But I don't have much experience in these matters.

Is there a breeders club? I haven't heard of many BYB (but I try not to)

Yes! Inner West has good coffee and parks but no beach like that! It was an hour's drive though, and Homebush/DFO was dreadful like usual.

So we trekked to Bayview today for a first birthday party for a lovely British Bulldog and it's brilliant! So many happy busy and/or tired dogs and their people. Now on the list for when we win powerball! Great Dane down to Chi with lots of Labs and Goldens and Staffie types in between. We were having a party and such lovely dogs invited themselves and even with treats they were all good to each other. Beautiful.

W we met a lovely Samoyed at a beach yesterday, in pouring rain. He had such a big smile! He and a giant Schnauzer and a couple of mini Schnauzer. Beach dogs are tired good smiley dogs :)

Woohoo! I think my parents might get dragged along, but they're Show veterans and know just when to leave me with the dogs while they checkout gardens and sewing stuff.
