  1. Jake's my favourite too, smoochy little fat head man!
  2. Hi keetamouse, that's why I've been posting the messages I see on FB because I thought there'd be some DOLers who don't use it. PR has a 'live feed' type thingy on the website home page, so you can see the messages there as well, but you won't know to look for them! With the dog listing bumping question, is it possible the ID numbers are able to be sorted so you get the older listings all together? Or do the rehomed dogs keep being mixed in with those still being advertised? Sounds very confusing.
  3. Oh T, that's so sad, I heard Holly was sick but I was hoping she'd pull through again to keep Shirley company a bit longer after losing Jack Will keep an eye out.
  4. So I'm watching a bit of the amazing army dogs. What sort of snakes would be in the water I'm in awe of the dogs that don't shake after being under the water!
  5. Hey TD can I tell our other neighbour who hearts Harper? She's going to be thrilled her pretty baby is staying in the street. Harper is welcome to come and annoy my girls any time :D
  6. There's also a comment that PR haven't been receiving the emails to the help site but they've now got them finally.
  7. Another notice on Facebook, for those not using it: PetRescue are still seeing the same amount of enquiries sent from the site to groups each day as the previous site; we've not seen a drop in potential adopters. However, there are some important things to check to ensure your PetRescue account is running at its best; - When logged into the members area go to 'Messages' this is a record of all emails sent to you via the site. Any message here should also come to you via your email. ... - Emails are now coming from the email address '[email protected]' rather than [email protected], so check your spam to make sure that enquiries aren't going there (especially if you have enquiries in your messages that you haven't had as an email) - There 'basic' search (rather than advanced search) has been reordered so that searching by state is the first option, (then postcode in advanced). This is the way the previous search worked, will make sure the most amount of pets are seen by the most amount of people and may have an impact on your enquires. - There has been an issue with the postcode search but this was fixed at the end of last week, so should be fine now. I hope things are getting better for you all (and especially the pooches/kitties).
  8. Someone's post count is going up rapidly and he'll be in off-topic again soon. Can we please not feed him? Cos, it's terrible that you're in such a nightmare situation. I guess you just have to enjoy your pups and let the future take care of itself. Not much help, huh
  9. Notice on Facebook just now: Rescue groups, just a quick reminder that we can't troubleshoot issues with the new site via Facebook. You'll need to email [email protected] with specifics. You might also notice you're now getting some emails through (some might be for pets you've now marked as rehomed) - it seems we've had a backlog in the email spool, so just bear with us - if you need dates of the emails, they'll be in your Members Area > Messages folder Hopefully some of the problems are being resolved
  10. Dunno, but very handsome! The rough Dutch shepherds look interesting too, and so many others. I'm one step behind - you all name them then I'll google
  11. T can you contact PR and convince them with IT language that they should revert to the old site, if they can, until the worst issues are fixed? My question is simpler. Didn't the old site have a link almost on the front page (maybe just one or two clicks) to the advice for people wanting to rehome their dog? I looked for that today for someone who should read it and it took a long time to find, and then the 'click here' didn't have a link anyway. Small beer but annoying when I had someone on the spot who may have been receptive to what I remember as pretty good advice.
  12. Have all these problems been raised with PetRescue directly? I'm sure they'd be devastated if they knew the enquiries had dried up so dramatically.
  13. And small children No Rozzie , I keep the small dogs and children in here Ooh I have a photo but not mum's permission to post - 5yo boy and his aussie bulldog curled up together in their crate - fast asleep, mum had to crawl in and carry boy out - so cute!
  14. Goldie Rescue or the two Lab rescue groups have lovely dogs that are often surrendered due to family breakup or moving into flats (or because there's a downturn in demand for pet shop pups). If you want an adult or teenager they'd be the way to go, especially if you're used to the training required, or sometimes PB Reg breeders have nice adult dogs to rehome. Or do you want a puppy? Labs and goldies get on with everyone but in my experience they seem to be a bit breedist and prefer each others' waggly tails! At big dog day outs they seem to recognise each other immediately.
  15. $22 at least for a nicely packaged bunny at our local butchers. I'd LOVE access to real ones, for me and for the dogs!
  16. Sorry. OH has suggested he may not be ready for fostering kittens. He's been so good about all the dogs I don't want to push the boundaries.
  17. Petersham Vets have a great reputation. Haven't heard much since they've been PetVets. 296 Stanmore Road Petersham NSW 2049 (02) 9560 5255
  18. Blue fawn funny blue eyed girl gives nice smoochy cuddles! Penni is the littlest physically but has the biggest character, just amazing. She likes to destroy things - weeds especially, so maybe she should stay with me Daisy's pups have the cutest head-tilts and soft coats. Smart little tackers, all are watching and learning the world with big eyes open!
  19. So sorry to hear this, Kiwioz. Sounds like the little bloke tried hard but when it's time it's time. Doesn't make it much easier but those last cuddles sound lovely.
  20. I've met little Penni and she's a tough stubborn little chicky with ATTITUDE! Perhaps not as quick on her feet as her brother but brave and inquisitive and will need a strong owner! She's unfortunately just a little cute ;) Eta strong owner to set boundaries and not give in to the cuteness factor!
  21. It's not a free world, it's Troy's world.
  22. First time I posted was because I needed a training group to help with my cross-breed almost-pet-shop-puppy (and I'll always be grateful to Monika for answering). Then I got caught up in the rescue threads and have fostered a dozen or so dogs. A couple failed, especially our wonderful Jodie. I've been to dog shows, met great rescuers and a funeral, met great breeders and trainers and fun dog owners. Next pup is going to be a pure-bred pedigreed DOL dog, hopefully born in about two weeks time I totally understand where HD is coming from because I'm completely over the pet shop and gumtree threads, and I'm also very careful about our leash-free activities. Can't help but hope though that the newbies will come in and learn and eventually think 'been there, know that, will spread the word'
