  1. Buddy (Bundy) Made the paper today http://diamond-valley-leader.whereilive.com.au/news/story/greensborough-bbq-for-mans-best-buddy/#.TngPHYc4qKo.facebook
  2. Happy Birthday Casper, what a trooper !! What a great owner!!
  3. People need to get their well mannered friendly breeds out in to the community and change public perception. Showing is great, but behind closed doors. The person on the end of the lead is just as important, smile, chat, talk. Get your clubs to start going to more expos, have stalls at community markets. Our club does a monthly community style event, love seeing the smiles from the public and the friendly chit chat when 20 + Whities are cooperating in a public space. Was nice seeing some GSD's walking in the Moomba Parade this year. What about organising some community walks to promote these so called dangerous breeds and get your local community behind you. Profits could go to the local rescue group or Guide dogs or something?
  4. Guess it depends if the white ones have 'that mean streak' *insert sarcasm here* Tell you a funny story, I had Kimba at the dog park she is a white long coat bitch. She was running around playing with her ball. Miss Maltese walks in and lets her dog off, chatting about the Melbourne dog attack when a dog park friend with her Black and Tan GSD walks in the gate, Maltese lady squeals like a rooster calling her fluffy, I said its fine, a great dog very social with all but she said those Shepherds are killers and picked up her dog. Whilst she was patting my Shepherd, I informed her what breed she was patting, she told me she thought it was a Samoyed x. She left the park through embarrassment I believe. I enjoyed the rest of my time at the park amongst JRTs, GSP's and the lovely B 'n T Shepherd. The local kinders will be spewing if Kimba has to stop her visits, the big evil beast that she is lol.
  5. Would the White Swiss Shep be included as its genetically a GSD?
  6. I am in the same boat, even if you report images, its too late. I have quite a few school aged kids who age who access my info. At least Troy was clever enough to set up a closed forum for distressing stories. Surely the internet super powers could make it a little better for those who dont deal well with sickening images.
  7. I now have to go to bed with the image of a stack of dead pups lined up. Deleted 3 posts all the same pic. They are friends, difficult sitch but better ways of communicating I think.
  8. What would be a better way to show concern for canine (animal) welfare, as I dont believe this method is proactive, just obsessive and unnecessary.
  9. Are there any people on here that are savvy with these breeds, or rescue groups? I know of a lovely one that needs a home URGENTLY.
  10. no, checked that, apparently there is an adopt a dog section. we didnt know he was in there, but it generated 10 applications in 1 day, so whoever did it, and where ever it is, it worked. I just want to see it and grab the link. Thanks
  11. Does anyone know how to search the Herald Sun online for Rescue Dogs. I am giving up after an hour. One of our Scallywags "ASTRO BOY" was in there today apparently. Any Herald Son search Gurus about? I want to be able to cross post the link to our website and FB page. Thanks

  14. Scallywags DRV are having a sausage sizzle at La Trobe Uni at the Agora on Monday 12th of September from 11-2. Please come along or if you have any La Trobe Uni friends please tell them to come along and buy a sausage. We have a 2 year old Lab-x who needs a hip replacement and we need to raise $5,000 so we need to sell A LOT of sausages to pay for it. www.scallywagsdogrescue.org.au
