My mum says something similar. If we ever get smaller dogs, then we would have to get at least 4 or 5, cause that way that at least add up to one proper sized dog :p (She is joking btw :D)

Rover Arrives In Shanghai!
lovemesideways replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
No problem ! I think it was roughly 5K all up, because there was Jetpets fee on this end, plus the flight costs. And then Globypets on the China side! Im happy for anyone to send me a message if they're going through the same thing, I know a fair bit about it now ;D! And I know some awesome people over in China to help too! -
Rover Arrives In Shanghai!

:D He just saw dad again for the first time, and same happy explosion as before. So very very cute. -
A few of you will have read my posts and seen my threads the last few months, but I'll explain anyway! My parents moved to Shanghai about 5 months ago, and they left their dog Rover with me not knowing whether or not they would be staying overseas for long enough to bring him over. After about a month the decision was made, Rover was going to China!! Now it was a lot of effort on both sides to make this happen, there where vaccination issues and problems with customs. Finally it was sorted and Rover and I where booked in to fly to China! Jetpets where incredibly helpful, helping me every step of the way and I cannot recommend them enough. They even put up with my last minute call at 7.45am on the day of the flight to check whether or not Rover was on the plane! GlobyPets who are Jetpets partner in Shanghai where also extremely helpful, sending us a photo of Rover after he arrived and was taken to quarantine, so we knew he was ok. (they get quarantined for 7 days upon arrival to china) So after a very very long wait, my mum finally got to be reunited with her 4 legged baby again. Ive never seen rover so happy, he almost exploded he was so excited. His whole bum was wagging so hard that it was actually lifting off the ground. Mum had tears in her eyes, I did a little too. Just a very happy happy moment (I took a video, but its hard to get it working with the internet here so might have to wait till Im back in Sydney to upload it!) UPDATE: Heres the video! Might want to turn the sound down, Mum and I where talking pretty loud! (The bit at the end hes running off the the bush to pee, lol)

Getting angry and having a rant at her is not the way to go about it, if you actually want to change her mind. Most people, when you tell them off like they're a child "You are wrong, should not do that, you should do this" etc, will not react well. They will continue to ignore you so they can save face and not be embarrased. Even if she is being a massive idiot, which I certainly think she is, having a go is just gonna piss her off. Better than telling her she is cruel and horrible and wrong, would be to say I'm sure they're cute, but these puppies are so much better! And look at the parents, they're so happy and beautiful bla bla. And they only have the one litter so they do alllll this initial work and training with the puppies which actually make them easier to train etc etc. Much better than "you're a cruel idiot"

Ideas On How To Set Up My Camera Bag Insides!
lovemesideways replied to lovemesideways's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Come on guys, photos pleeease :D?? I know its gonna be a individual thing, but it would help give me some ideas! and YES I'm currently in Shanghai, Rover (my parents lab) is here too but hes stuck in Quarantine. They get quarantined on arrival to china for 7 days, (no idea why considering china has 10 times the amount of diseases that australia has!) so we should hopefully get him out on the 15 or 16th! And I'm flying home on the Sunday night, the 18th. I'll have to do a thread with some photos, a non whinging thread for once, lol :D -
I got a super sexy new camera bag! (Shanghai prices make me happy) :D But I have never had to set up the inside of a camera bag before, so how I've done it seems a bit dodgy. Does anyone have photos of the inside of their bag? The bag is this one http://www.jill-e.com/style/camera/medium-black-leather-camera-carry-all-bag

Places To See Driving Between Sydney And Jindabyne
lovemesideways replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
Thanks!! Writing everything down! Lets hope it gets colder and snows in Dalgety hehe. -
The BF and I are heading to the snow next week and taking the dogs with us! So on the way down from Sydney, are there any cool places we could stop with the dogs along the way? Cool photography opportunitys also welcome! We're staying in Dalgety on a massive property so we'll have huge space to run the dogs around and there's a secure area for them to stay while we drive up to the snow for snowboarding fun a few times during the week. I know the dogs aren't allowed in the national parks, so is there anywhere else where there's snow that we could take them? Any ideas on other places in the area we could drive to are also welcome :D pretty excited!
