  1. Good luck with your showing Fran. Do as many as you can for experience for both of you.
  2. I would DNA. In my current situation the Ruby male has known to produce Blenheim pups withanother Ruby. I have 1 ruby and 3 mismarked. Previous litters with this couple have produced good rubies with minimal to no white. So can not rely on colour. IMO.
  3. ;) :D I love the stories of people falling in love with the adults my foundation girl always won over the visitors whether it was her puppies or the grandkids. Now her daughter has taken over the role. ;)
  4. I have people come as they wish and it suits me. Mum is usually over the pups by 4 weeks and is in and out of whelping box. By the time the serious decisions of selling unpicked babies they are viewed out in the backyard so they can run around with all the dogs, grandma, aunties etc. Dad is usually not around but I have photos of him.
  5. My dual sire litter has been born 2 I reckon could be from the blenheim and 2 from the ruby. This is going on amount of whte only. But as both parents have blenheim behind them its not a given. Just wait for DNA.
  6. Know what you mean. Hada girl once who kept going under the wood pile. Managed to get her out and she delivered first pup 15 mins later. :D :D
  7. I do 9 weeks 9x7=63 So 1st December gives 2nd February.
  8. I use pedigree ans always have firm stools. Even frim at the mo nearly 2 weeks old. Mum is not a good poo eater.
  9. Love the pics. :D Our breeder suggested (White Shepherd) to hold the mouth firmly closed saying No biting until they struggle to get away. Then release. It took about 5 -6 goes and she stopped. This is aversion the equalivant to the naughty corner for a child. By replacing the biting with a toy/bone you are rewarding the bad behaviour. ETA. I used the same technique to stop her pulling when on lead. Pulled her up firm saying No pulling. Took a while but it worked. I started this from very early on as I have a bad hip and could not have her pulling me.
  10. Steve its interesting that so much of various payments we make to our various CC's goes to research but is miss used. :D
  11. Wow $4000.00. :D Overkill. I was involved at the Exhibition Buildings and the Showgrounds having Cavs on the stand. The stalls where really good and lots of entertainment. I believe that some organizations shoot themselves in the foot with prices.
  12. I had an interesting chat with Norm about freezing sperm and the testing there of, using pellets as compared with straws. Also they work out from the test pellet how many pellets you need to get the required number per mating.
  13. Was it Stix??? I want to know this as well Nope it was not Stix.
  14. :D And the video is coming when???? You beat me to it. Weeeeelllllll...unless the TCA office has a security camera it won't be happening. You silly gooses you.....how on earth could I possibly take video when I was too busy a) puppy wrangling and b) laughing? Mind you, I should probably mention that I don't see Kerry or Judy now without them asking me how Bad Alice is (and funnier still when I rang the office to get Alice's rego number so that I could enter her in shows I didn't even have to tell Kerry her registered name before he gave it to me! ;) ) and when I dropped in to say hi to the Rajacadoo-doo-doo clan at the showgrounds yesterday, both Kerry and Judy remembered Roger by name! ;) What a hoot being on "first name terms" with TCA staff.
  15. Apparently there was a comment in the December Vic Gazette about putting a barcode on the rego papers instead of writing in the number. This maybe be the first step to having to be chipped before rego. I think this is a great step forward. Next is to have a third contact that remains constant : The breeders details.
  16. ;) And the video is coming when???? You beat me to it. :D :p :o
