  1. I have just had a look on Youtube and can't find any. I know Caffy would have some - send her an email and ask - its worth doing
  2. What a great reward for an amzing team. And I guess there might have been more And well done to you and the girls, too RS! Thanks girls - this one is extra extra special. Val was the first one in WA to get a toller into the obedience ring and Guinea was something extraordinary. He very quickly gained his OC, but he was also super fast on the agility field - hence the award for the most versatile. My litter was 6 weeks old when Val died, she knew about the special little miss marked boy in it, Guinea was also miss marked. She was supposed to meet this special boy, who I later named Scoota, when I bought the litter to Perth 2 weeks later for vaccinating, but it never happened. So there were a few tears last night, when they announced the award. I am sure Val was there helping me with that very ugly agility run the night before to get us over the line and with Scoota now retired from agility, it was an extra special way to go out.
  3. I briefly saw Emery in the ring as I walked up to the shop last night - not sure how you got on. It was a nice atmosphere at the trial last night. We sat around and solved the problems of the world, had a few laughs and shared a soda water or two. There were some brilliant runs, some brilliant runs that turned into near misses and I ugly ugly ugly run that passed I am not sure who is walking more stiffly today, me or Scoota - so with that I am calling it a night for him and agility. He has been a more than handy agility dog, pulling some amazing runs out the bag with minimal training, but there comes a time when enough is enough, so mate, enjoy your retirement - and thanks for the ride
  4. Just back from agility at the Classic. Well done to Caffy who got 3 clear rounds and 3 first places with Snaz - WOW what a way to celebrate your birthday Well done to Mirrawee who went clear in novice jumping with Banjo. The jumping course had to be seen to be believed - you did the tunnel 9 times out of the 15 obstacles on the course Rubystar won excellent jumping - what a great result. and I blew the dust off the occasionally clever one - he has not been on any agility equipment since April last year, and bless him in what can only be described as a very very ugly run, which looked nothing like how I walked the course - he went clear Good boy Scoota
  5. But what about for all the wine in Liquorland? :D Hmm....... let me think about it..........
  6. Did your mum get it on video - I sure hope so. It was a nice round from the judge. The cones were hard to see in the light and its interesting that we are starting to get different wash cloth patterns. Moo failed the cones and it went down hill from there ......
  7. MY mugs have picture of wine bottles on - hmm ? appropriately chosen I think Well done on your terrific results last night - good to see him back to his best. Thanks for the play afterwards too - Strauss sure enjoyed it. Thanks Hannah for showing and looking after the boy last night I think I am pretty lucky to have a boy who is happy to go off and do things with other people. I took him into the obedience ring, where he won Novice (cough cough god only knows how) and then Hannah took him up to the show ring and then later on he wandered through the show dogs to go and have his photo taken before coming back to the bottom oval and playing ball with Brookie. I wouldn't swap him for all the tea in China!
  8. Hmmmm She loves men! Well done with Varda last night - it was a tough gig the CCD ring being where it was and being bridesmaid is a really good effort.
  9. Yep its fine if his head moves - but you may find that the head moves causing the feet to move - if the feet move the food goes away. The dogs usually catch on really fast. Make it easy to start - so start right in front and close and slowly bring the food towards the dogs mouth - if they jump up to get it or move - food goes away and you stand them again and go through the same process. Then you can start bringing the food in from the side, up high and down low. If you are game you can work up to dropping the food on the ground in front of the dog, but you have to be quick enough to stick your foot on it if the dog moves.
  10. Just back from Quarantine and have to give a BIG thumbs up to the Quarantine mob (people have had a lot of really bad experiences). They are on the ball, friendly and ever so helpful and I actually feel they are there for the dogs Great work And the mail on my new dog was totally wrong. I was told that she was sedate NOPE she has a crazy button just like the rest of them
  11. Dognerd (nice name ) I would be breaking it down. Not sure if Barney knows the steady feet game where you can bring food to him from any angle and he isn't to move - I would be first of all playing this game. Incorporated into this game is making sure that your body position can be anywhere - once again bringing food towards his mouth - if he stays put then he gets it - if he moves then the food goes away. From here I start to return to him, but I vary where I am clicking and treating - sometimes its as I go past the left side of the dogs body, sometimes as I am at the back of them, sometimes its as I am about to get back into heel position and other times its once I have fully returned. Again if they move - its too bad so sad try again. It really is worth spending the time on this and getting it right because even my occasionally clever dog has a blonde moment (last weekend) and gets it wrong, and its so easy to fix. Good luck
  12. Its been 6 years since my last litter and I am sitting here with fingers, toes and eyes crossed that there might be hearing the patter of little red feet at the end of April. I vaguely remember some old wives tales about blue lines running between the nipples being the first sign of pregnancy. Anybody know what are some signs that she may or may not be pregnant? She has put on weight as she is usually a stick insect - but I think that's me over feeding her Thanks for the congrats tooooooooooo
  13. CCD and Novice - Michelle with her Aussie Bugs Open - Cider UD and UDX - Scoota
  14. ST I think we are all so envious of you - glad to hear you arrived safe and sound and we are looking forward to your next update. I am sure RV will let you know how Lulu goes tonight. I had a ripper night last night, one you want to bottle, and only 5 hours sleep - so I think a nanna nap might be on the cards at some stage today. I thought the kids would be really tired - but nope Scoota woke me at the usual time for breakfast and so far Strauss has bought me a peg, a tag off a new top and a piece of paper Good boy Strauss
  15. and I still can't find anything to wear
  16. CC we all make asses of ourselves at different times - so welcome to the club. Good luck to all those competing at K9 in the WC tonight. A heads up I have heard that we are on the top oval tonight??
  17. OSS you could have knitted a scarf in that time. Fingers crossed for whippet babies
  18. Sure beats the coffee mugs for agility 2 years ago yes today I received letters about making the Classic Challenge final and promptly said thanks to the Committee on FB - well done to them it is appreciated
  19. Kallistar - what's up with Tux? This is Moos round from last night. I would like $1 for every spin he did between exercises I also have to smile watching his PIM - his tail goes wag wag wag until I give him a PIM and then it stops until I collect him and then it goes wag wag wag
  20. I need a "like" button Rubystar . Your girls did a great job tonight and you should be mighty proud. Bedazzled also has some brags
  21. You are on a roll kathq - well done Our news............. we got a UDX pass and I am just a little bit happy 189 - lost 6 for the seekback and 5 elsewhere. But just to prove the occasionally clever one is not always that clever he failed the stand stay in UD and Strauss Mouse (who played stud muffin during the week multiple times) came out and won novice with 193
  22. We got a UDX pass - yee har 189 - lost 6 for the seekback and 5 elsewhere and we are celebrating
  23. I had a partial obstruction with one of mine too - caused by orange cocas palm berries. She went down hill fairly rapidly, vomiting, pacing wouldn't settle, so took her in, they did barium x-ray and decided it was best to operate. She came home that night and when I picked her up they handed me a plastic bag and in it was all the grass she had eaten + 6 orange berries. $1800 for that little experience Good luck - I hope she is jumping out of her skin soon
