  1. Wow what a weekend for brags Agility Dogs, Luke W, Kavik.... and Huge congratulations Terranik - I have a soft spot for the allergy dogs - it makes it just so much harder - now off to watch the video
  2. I know I am jumping the gun here and I really shouldn't see a difference for 3 months BUT already Beans is scratching and chewing her feet less after only being on EPO for a few days......lets hope that it continues
  3. Helen who runs Lexi makes the lead tuggies and Gillian makes the tuggies with rope in them.
  4. LOL - I had to laugh after playing ball for 2 hours with Ciderbear Deb O asks - does she ever stop Wish I got it on video as I said to you it shows what a neat handler you are Rubystar ;) as for packing her into your training bag - hmm she might just find your missing i-squeaks for you! Now where is Caffy - she has some HUGE Brags from today - WOW is all I can say about her handling of Snaz today
  5. News - ummmm - Lexi gets three more runs in excellent jumping when she doesn't need them. After having 1 bar down in every run for the last few months - Lexi did a great job for Helen today for three clear rounds out of 4 and her excellent title - Now wheres Caffy - she has some HUGE brags and also wondering if she has heard the strategic comments on the video of Alex running masters Agility this arvo - if she didn't .......I bags doing ALL contacts in strat pairs next weekend :D
  6. Well done Amypie on your pass, placing and ribbon I don't know about anybody else - but I am buggered and I didn't run a single course. Videoing is tough work you know
  7. Its now Sexy Lexi JDX - with 2 clear rounds in excellent jumping and a pass in masters agility
  8. There were some terrific runs today in the lead up to the Nationals. At presentation there were some lame dogs and some lamer handlers. I think Xena98 has some brags to come.... Well done Amypie on another pass and yet another Ribbon
  9. This is now sounding and growing like the i-squeak order I did recently. Stormie I would love to hear how you get on - do you think there will be any problems getting the product through customs? I also want to add, I have not tried any of this - but its the path I am next going down in my quest to stop the itches.
  10. Nope but I will start training tonight. Cake in one hand, chocolate bar in the other. And liiiiiiiiiiift!! Rubystar I would offer you Beans to run in open agility BUT you already have too many skills for her.
  11. Have blown the dust off Scoota so he will get a run in each of the games, he gets to play with Alex in masters strat pairs and he is in masters jumping and agilty each day - Poor boy wont know what has hit him. I keep telling him hes an agility dog now as his obedience skills have gone down the gurgler. Beans she does games and will team up with Jaffa in Masters strat pairs god how these girls made it to masters I will never know - In fact, how Beans ever got her masters title still had me shaking my head. Beans will also do open agility because when entries closed she didn't have her title. Helen is running Lexi in games and she gets to date Rivsky's River in Excellent strat pairs and then she is in masters agility and excellent jumping. God I need a coffee after typing all this - I am exhasuted just thinking about it.
  12. I just think how sore I am going to be after day 1 - will be a cripple by day 3! You whipper snappers are all half my age
  13. Can you let me know where you end up getting it from and the price please as I always feel I am paying top $ Thanks
  14. When discussing it she originally said 3-5 tablets a day (Beans is 16.8kg) The discharge letter says EPO 1g:3g q 24 hrs I started her last night on 4 tablets and I think I paid $19.99 for 190 pills. I guess thats a lot of pills for a Great Dane. Apparently EPO also comes in a liquid form but the Pharmacy said that it was harder to get and had to be kept in the fridge.
  15. Murdoch have been using it for the past 6 months - so no she didn't just bring it back from the US with her. She arrived back home on Tuesday from the US to find that they had run out of the pipettes so is awaiting the next delivery which is 2-3 weeks. I will let you know when they arrive and how it all goes. She did say, like Advantage - it can leave an oil type stain on the back of the neck (which I absolutely hate) BUT if it helps her allergies - I will happily put up with it. I opted not to try the shampoo at this stage - didn't want to change too many things at the one time.
  16. I will look at doing another order of i-squeaks in a couple of months time, which will give you some time to save up and consider how many more you want
  17. Unfortunately she is allergic to the Proplan sensitive as well as the salmon and rice one The dermatologist we see is fantastic - she has just got back from the US where all these papers were presented - one on the use of EPO and the fact that it is not being prescribed in high enough doses - so for Broad Beans who is a little overweight at the moment at 16.8kg they are recommended 3-5 tablets per day. I have settled on 4 and she will be reviewed again in 6 months.
  18. I will start squeaking the i-squeaks mid afternoon tomorrow - that should help find your way to K9 Drive safely - and will see you on Saturday.
  19. I have done the elimination diet with Beans so I know she can't have beef, lamb, wheat, corn or milk. Basically she is on a BARF diet and gets a lot of goat and chicken. Dry food the only one she can have is Calafornia Natural Herring and Sweet Potato.
  20. Read the discharge letter - Duoxo pipettes - so now I am confused - not sure if they are injections or similar to frontline type applications to the back of the neck. 21. Let me know if the EPO makes a difference with her Its not something you would see overnight - three months before we will know if there has been any benefit and the EPO is on top of her 3000mg of fish oil per day. She will be rattling soon with all these oils and pills
  22. I took Beans to see her dermatologist today - 6 monthly review time and there have been some changes to treatment of allergies. I need to start her on EPO (Evening Primrose Oil) 3-5 tablets daily for her weight. I will also be trialling some injections when they get them in stock (oops forgot the name of them) - so twice weekly for 4 weeks and then twice monthly to go with her immunotherapy.
  23. I find if you have multiple dogs you have to train the youngest one first - if you make them wait - then they get just so over the top that it becomes very ugly ;) and yep like you said JulesP, every turn is their turn!
  24. Argh - now putting 2 and 2 together ;) and his mummy is judging at the Nationals. I met this boy when I was in Brisbane July last year. So how opld is Chase?
  25. Gosnells train on a Friday night at Lumen Christie College - not sure if they are opening it up to everybody or not? Glad to see you "made it" Xena 98 ........ For the newbies Xena 98 came to our last Nationals as well!
