Hi will be taking odin to the vet in the morning but in the mean time what does the dol brains trust think. Odin had his 12 month booster on Saturday it was the 3 year c3 and the nasal kennel cough. No dramas and has always been in good health. So tonight he was having tummy scritches and under his neck and chest and at least one in the groin are lumps about the size of a pea. There must be at least a dozen of them. They look like little fatty cysts. The only other variance we have had is baby sitting my daughters overly excitable lab. Could they be a reaction to the vaccination he has never had one when he had his puppy shots Thanks

It funny when I was renting with kids and dogs, I got knocked back for several properties because I had children and lost at least 2 bonds from damage by the kids and never got knocked back for having pets or lost any bond due to them. And I have raise 2 large breed puppies in rental propeties. I dont think landlords should have the right to say who or what you have in the home as long as its legal.

Mine have never vomited but have been off colour for a day or so the 1st time I used it, but have been fine having it since. More like they built a tolerance to it. Hope the fur kids are feeling well again

Great post Dancinbcs. Can you enlist the help of a couple of friends and have them come over and when he jumps or runs at them they turn their back to the pup. The need to ignore him completely until he is calm not even a look at him from arrival until calm. Might be best if they are good sized adults with a Newfie pup

my understanding from my insurance with Medibank is that if you make a claim in the year you must pay for the entire year even if the dog has passed. even if you continue to pay the $37 a month until October and make your $800 you are at least $400 better off.

I'm not in Victoria so will not vote but just wanted to say that here in qld I won't do day shows from December until at least march and even then only if weather is nice in November and march. I won't risk my dogs or myself.

They all get on the bed when I go to bed and then move off in the summer to sleep in front of the fans or on the couch. Nala often sleeps in her crate. They come back up on the bed in the morning for cuddles and rumbles. In winter they tend to stay on the bed and snuggle.

I voted No, don't like the sensation, which is partly true, but mine are taught from day of arrival that liking is not for humans. mainly because most visitors and general public do not appreciate a 12 inch tongue up the face or anywhere for that matter.It's almost as bad as dogs that jump up on people. If they want to give me a kiss it is a bump with their nose usually either on my nose or chin and then a big cuddle and a scritch.

Have to agree with the wood idea and boxes. My 14 month old bullmastiff is a chewer and his current favorite is a 3 foot piece of 2 x 3 which he drags around the yard. Also large cardboard boxes the tuff ones that fridges come in he loves and keep him occupied for hours. Picking it all up is a pain but saves the house. Also chilli spray on the things you don't want chewed is great they learn quickly not to go back to the item. I had to door this to one door frame as he would not leave it alone and worked a treat.

I'm looking at having Semen collected and frozen to send to NZ for my dogs breeder. I would love some recommendations and am happy to travel a reasonable distance to have it collected. I have never done this before and Odin is only 13 months old (so never been mated or collected before), and having his testing done early next month. So can anyone please recommend a good vet for collection and freezing and if anyone has approximate prices for these services that would be great. Also has anyone heard of or used Greg Sternberg from Gatton. (PM if preferred) thanks Dol brains trust

Kate, my daughter started at one of the private clubs up there in the next town, before she moved here to Brisbane, I will find out which one and let you know. She also did not like the one in your town. Also daughter has some great videos

the packet should have the weight range of the dog on the front, and then you give the required number of tablets every day. she may still be stratching from the bites and may not actually have fleas on her, also if the yard has been infested with the fleas you would be better off with something like advantage/advantix to give a months protection. but if she just got a few while out then a couple of doses of capstar should suffice. I usually give capstar before we come home if we have been to somewhere with fleas and the dogs haven't been treated with anything else. if you only need to deal with fleas and no ticks I would recommend comfortis as it it great
