M&M I am so sorry this has happened. Ex's really suck don't they! Remember we are all here for you as your kepala friends I have extremely fabulous news on Charlotte. Yesterday she went in for the xrays, expecting arthritic changes and a cruciate rupture to show up with checking under anaesthetic - more often than not vets cannot find the problem unless sedated. Well he did 8 xrays of her spine, hips, knee, hocks and not one abnormality and very little laxity in the knee pointing to NO SURGERY NEEDED!!!!! The only thing they did find unexpected was a couple calcified areas just under the spine. Other than that her leg problem is pointing to muscular or a soft tissue injury which can be fixed via some physio gentle exercise and swimming So all in all a very very happy owner here. I was very surprised to see just how good everything looked on the xrays. She came home last night and was very very tired and quite wobbly and kept falling over! This morning she is much much brighter and looking alot better and not falling so i put it down to the GA she had yesterday. We shall return to kepala when she has her strength in her legs back, right now she will not be ready as I am more worried of her doing an injury in the grass run as we all know she doesnt stop for those balls. We may be back next month or the month after, not too sure but will need to base it on how she goes really.

Sorry I cant come Kirst Char will be back at kepala in 3 months all going well with recovery and rehabilitation (swimming, physio etc).

There are entire show dogs who come to kepala so an entire dog isnt going to bother anyone as nobody brings anyone in season

One previous vet we are on seriously bad terms with and they refuse to give us any of her medical history xrays etc.. so how would i go about getting it? Should I ring up PIA and explain the situation

I am with PIA, and havent had to make a claim as of yet. However my policy hasnt gone up yet..I am still paying $17.85 a fortnight with them on $100 excess. When I do make a claim, can anyone tell me firstly.. on the claim form it says "if this is your first claim or have had the policy under 6 months then you must provide medical history". Does that mean as I have only been going to the current vet since July last year I have to go to previous vets to get the medical history? or does it only mean medical history at the current vet (only times shes needed a vet since i took out the policy have been for 2 ear infections, her vaccinations and a stomach bug she got).

Am I able to do more than one 52 weeks? I was wondering if i can do 52 weeks of Charlotte and buns. Mainly because i would like to post a different photo of a bun each week... This is my week 1.... Charlotte Teddy

Sorry I am pulling out again. Just wont be able to make it. Will come to another meet when another one is organised. I am handrearing a baby bird and it would mean i have to be at the beach and home again by 2pm! which would be impossible!

Today Pointees and I went to Brighton Beach for our girls. Charlotte (the golden) had never been to the beach before and I am so thrilled she didnt swim too far being a major water baby who sometimes is hard to get out of the water! My dog is not a destructive dog, just when we go on walks she does stop to smell flowers so thought best i get safe ones so i dont have the concern IF she did eat flowers/leaves off a tree that isnt safe.

I was wondering if anyone happen to know what types of trees are toxic if dogs eat the leaves/flowers on them. I have an aviary of birds and so I dont have to keep getting the branches etc from parks thought I would like to plant some in the backyard now that the yard looks better and full of grass. I want to get something like Bottlebrush, Melileuka, Eucalyptus trees and possibly banksia. Just thought i'd check before going out and buying if anyone knew what was toxic.

Hi all, Does anyone mind if i dont use xmas paper to wrap it? Didnt get time to do it today. might just put it in some tissue paper or whatever i can find! Still havent had time to think what to bring, i cant be bothered making anything might just pick something up on the way through. See you all in the morning, Charlotte doesnt look as pretty as usual as I havent bathed her this time around, just brushed her and trimmed her feet.

Charlotte's ear update still not allowed to go swimming but i could still let her go up to her elbows just to make her happy she has gotten wet! The ear had like a big ball of pus, so vet flushed it and my brave girl didnt even flinch with it! Once it had been flushed it looked heaps better he said. Ear drops twice daily and she'll be right soon Such a brave girl not a sound when i put the drops in.

She has a ear infection off to the vet tomorrow for antibiotics or ear medication.

Awesome let me know when you have a day off and feel like doing a trip to the beach. A trial day is definately necessary so if shes an embarassment and swims away at least its only in front of you and not all the DOL people! I dont even know if she'll like the waves but then again i doubt that, she is the kepala water baby afterall i guess the beach would be similar only that the water is waves and theres sand.
