I would suggest maybe starting Arch in another run with just one dog then when he is confortable add another and so on until he is comfortable rather then mobbing him with 10 + all at once, though he is large he is still a baby after all so slow would be better IMHO. better to build up to running with the pack ETA: love the pics there are some really nice ones up there and i cant believe i missed meeting that stunning little bubba!!!! cuteness overload! I totally agree, perhaps thats a better way to slowly introduce him to the group rather than him be scared about a group of 10+ dogs at once. -

hi guys looks like fun was had by you all! Charlotte had a playdate today as well, I was nearly going to come til i heard i had no way to get there. Thank you very muchly for the offer pip really appreciate it. Pity i didnt see your FB message til a couple hrs later! Hope you got my sms thanking you for the offer. First I went to a market with my bestie and her baby William where a dog nearly attacked the pram ;) then back to Pip's friend's place to see her boys then back home and Charlotte had a playdate with a dog down the road. Will definately be there next time! Awesome photos. The photo of the "slightly heavy" lapdog made me laugh. I am bummed i missed Fletcher cuddles he's so huggable! Oh and bindii Hugo is looking well -
Thanks MM. Hopefully someone can help! He's such a poser but getting photos without the bars was impossible. I tried taking photos of him sitting on the other side and sticking the camera down but the little devil hopped over right up to the lens so he made my only option to photograph through the bars!
-
and this one is my other favourite i took but again the ugly bars!!
-
Thanks MM. I had the settings on AV but the focus I am still working out I still have to learn how to use this new camera! Here is an example of one photo I did which would look good if the ugly bars were not in the picture!
-
I was wondering how do you get good photos of animals behind bars without getting the bars in the photos? Probably impossible to fix a photo that already has the bars wouldnt it? I did a photo shoot of one of my bunnies today but most of the photos have the bars of the playpen in

-
Really bummed i'm going to miss out on Fletcher cuddles Mum said i could go but i have another cold (second one in a month!) on top of asthma. We'll be there October
-
Hey AM! Hope I get to see the pup! Your dogs are gorgeous.

Tess32: I know there are some who do get along but I honestly have heard of very few cases, and heard of plenty of cases where littermates even have attacked and killed or badly injured each other. I just wouldn't risk 2 males after the incidence that happened here. 2 boys awaiting owners to pick up their bunnies (same litter) 12 weeks old, both very friendly loving rabbits I went out to do my usual water check before heading out, to find one had bitten the other's ear off! Of course a vet trip immediately and had it cleaned up and stitched up and informed the owner what had happened. The owner was very understanding and I explained it doesn't affect a normal life to this bunny at all. Yes definately do not stop any food for rabbits. They are completely different to dogs and cats.
-
I would MM but mum hates going to these dog things she gets bored VERY easily at any of the animal things i go to. Hence the reason in 3 years i've been showing she's never been to a rabbit show and seen my bunnies do their stuff At this rate going by mum being very sick with asthma, a cold and severe hip problems ATM it's looking more like i'll be coming. So havent given up hope just yet!
-
MM I wouldnt worry about how the boys will be, you havent seen Charlotte since she's been back in action from the operation! She'll be going mental at me if i dont take her this time! It all comes down to mum though.. She's big on celebrating her birthday and spending the whole day together... hmm what can i do to get her to change her mind. Maybe i can make it up to her with a big dinner instead!
-
I had one of my retired bucks desexed last year for for $94 definately go to an animal welfare org they are usually always cheaper. I cant quite work out what your saying, you dont have 2 male rabbits together do you? Male rabbits VERY rarely get along together when they hit 12 weeks plus and will fight to death desexed or not, did your breeder not inform you of that? Hopefully you find somewhere cheaper to get it done. Sounds like NSW costs more than down here.

Hope I can come to kepala, I miss Dexter!
-
actually she never used to get birds! I have cockatiels and rabbits as well and she wouldnt touch them, it's those birds and ducks that she doesnt like. If I take her swimming she swims with the ducks but is never fast enough to actually get one. She had a Cruciate Ligament repair op 3 months ago and I have never seen her this active since she was about 2 or 3yrs old! I think every dog is different, i have seen really good labradors who have an excellent temperament, not destructive and well trained. I think alot of dogs there really is no real difference in their temperaments and natures other than their breed.
-
I have a golden retriever and she is active although she is also a couch potato at times. I have had her 3 years and don't experience any destruction at all (she is nearly 5). I have always been told that Labs were more destructive, but I don't think a decision about a breed should be based on destruction level. It should be made on the basis of temperament, what purpose you want (pet or exhibiting in obedience etc..), and your lifestyle. My golden is a clingy dog, she thrives on attention. However in saying that she keeps herself entertained with her toys if i am out and mostly sleeps when i am gone. I can trust her to leave her outside for several hours and never come home to any destruction. The most i have come home to is a dead magpie and a dead Pigeon/dove thing. They are very easily trained and eager to please.

I am a maybe at the moment. Being mum's birthday, i am unsure if she'll agree to me coming :D Maybe i'll say i need photo taking practice!
