  1. Ouch I hadn't had Edward long and was out walking him. I hadn't been to the behaviourist yet!! Anyway he saw a small white dog across the road and took off after it dragging me off my feet and half way across the road. I'm on my bloodied knees apologising to the poor man clutching his dog to his chest to save it from the two lunatics in the middle of the road.
  2. Tully looks fabulous. I've ordered one for Edward. Great website. Thanks
  3. Here's Edward. The only one that was usable out of hundreds. I had to chase him into the bedroom for this - I had to colour in the bed behind since it was covered with clean laundry
  4. I have insurance too. In six years I've claimed $150 - not that I'm complaining. I haven't worked out where the line is either but I suspect it's where I'll pay whatever was needed to give Edward quality of life.
  5. Oh dear it must be the week for it. Edward killed a bluey the other day. He was very proud of himself, running to show me it - great white hunter that he is. It's the first thing he's killed - as far as I know I feel terrible too - not just for the bluey - poor thing - but for my garden - they are great to have around.
  6. I'm looking for a new camera too so I followed you here from Off Topic. I am interested in the replies. I feel like a stallker :p The only info I've gotten so far is from my sister. She said get one with a Lumix lens and at least a 4 or 5 times zoom. I can't remember whether she said the optical zoom is better or the digital one. Mmmmmm not much help
  7. Yes I think so too. When Edward is at my friend Paula's house he'll get up on the lounge but never does that at home.
  8. I'm so glad you're doing this again Thanks so much. We love the tug toys - they get quite a work out but still look fabulous. I've sent a PM.
  9. This was brought to my attention awhile ago when friends asked me to have Molly (their staffy) if anything happened to them and asked if it was okay to put that in their wills. I said yes and when they asked if they could have Edward I said yes to them. I'm really happy about what we've decided as Edward knows them well, spends time with them when I'm away and I trust them with him.
  10. I've taken Edward on a camping holiday - only for a week though. It was really great. I had a long line for when we were sitting outside. We met lots of other people travelling with dogs and that was great too. The dog caravan parks we stayed at were good and all the dogs staying there were well behaved. We went from Albury to Mildura. I do think Edward wondered what on earth was going on - living in a little box ;) The b&bs often have the advantage of a yard for your dog - a bit more freedom.
  11. Friends of mine made me deal with this last year. They were doing their wills and asked me if I'd have their staffy Molly. I said - what about your kids - they said no you're the only person we would trust with her - I really felt honoured. It got me thinking about Edward though. My parents live in a unit for retired folks with a handkerchief back yard and no grass - Edward's a big dog. And he jumps the fence at my sisters. Anyway I have it in my will now - with money to help look after Edward - that he goes to Molly's mum and dad - sort of a reciprocal arrangement I guess.
  12. Welcome to Albury - well soon anyway. Cosmolo is talking about Albury Wodonga Dog's Breakfast at an off leash park down near the Murray River. You can google it for info. I took Edward there quite a few times but as Cosmolo says it's 'uncontrolled'. Sometimes 20-30 dogs and their owners. Sunday mornings 10ish - once a month - sausgae sizzle and then a walk along the river - on lead. Some very nice people to talk to and they collect donations for the RSPCA and Albury Dog Rescue. Albury dog Rescue are a great bunch of people. In fact there's a Trivia Night happening this weekend. You can google ADR too. There's another positive reinforcement trainer at Howlong - I met her at the Million Paws Walk - I'll hunt out her name for you. There's a fenced off leash park in Wodonga - close to the High St exit of the freeway. Albury Wodonga flyball info - Julie Walker Phone: 02 6020 9480 Email:[email protected]
  13. Excuse my ignorance - but when is this show on please? I can't find dates
