  1. Her 10 week old birthday on Monday. Didn't know she had such a long tongue.
  2. She is such a lazy eater. Enjoying her lunch of sardines & kibble. JS puppies have the cutest little feet. She loves Tilba's ball.
  3. Panda likes & encourages Laci to chase him. The only time he tells her off is if he thinks that her food is his. I had it locked in her pen which he was standing next to trying to figure out how to get it when she walked by, he didn't touch her but had a scary look on his face & made a lot of noise. Laci's like ho hum, what's he on about.
  4. For all of you ooooing over puppy stacks  here are a couple of Laci taken before we left Katie P's to take our new baby home.
  5. OH was completely taken with Laci & her siblings & the grown up dogs. When we got home she was introduced to our sons (2 of 3 are resident), daughter-in-law & granddaughter who were surprise visitors as they live in Ulladulla. With granddaughter. Resting after a busy afternoon exploring the back yard & trying to get away from Panda who is very taken with her, albeit a bit rough at times. But have no fear she's not backward in telling him what she thinks of his wild ways. Fast asleep. She didn't like Panda too close while she was eating & after nearly finishing her meal she told him off in no uncertain terms. Something that Tilba has never done.
  6. Almost ready to go pick up Laci. Wish those butterflies would settle down. I can't wait to see her again & introduce her to the OH.
  7. Best friends in the making littleduck, a gorgeous photo.
  8. I can officially join in here tomorrow. We are picking Laci up in about 14 hours, :D
  9. One more sleep & I go & pick up Laci. Today I bought her food, a couple of kongs & a soft toy. I couldn't find all of Panda's old baby toys so had to start from scratch. Oh, & the other day I bought her another type of food treat thingy. I have cleaned the old cat crate which will be her temporary bed until she's bigger & can use Panda's. Was going to get another Bunnings compost bin but they didn't have any so have to make do with one of Pandas that didn't look in too bad a condition. Never used this before, but I also got a piece of artificial grass which she's used to using at Katie P's, for when we go out & have to leave her for short times. If only my other 2 dogs knew what they are in for. Can't wait, tomorrow morning is either going to crawl along or go so quickly I won't have a chance to do the last few things that need doing.
  10. I took my 2 dogs to the vets today for their annual k9 cough vaccinations. Same practice, new owners. The previous owners always routinely gave C7 vaccinations & because I'm getting a new puppy next week I've been looking for a new vet. My dogs have been going to the same practice for about 30 years. My parents & my aunt also used to go there in the early '60s. So, I thought I'd suss out the new vets who have practices all over Sydney & Figtree South Coast. They are called vetfriends. Does anyone in Sydney use any of their practices & if so how do you find them? http://vetfriends-px.rtrk.com.au/ The vet I saw only works there Mondays & Tuesdays & I found her to be very willing to answer all of my queries. I asked about their policy on vaccinations re puppies & she told me they routinely use C5 vaccinations & only give C7 if the client asks for it. Dependant on when puppies receive their 1st vacs, they will do 2 or 3 puppy shots, but mostly seems to be 3 which is what the old vets always did. Both dogs had their tri-annual vaccinations last year & looking back 2 years to when Tilba had her k9 cough vaccination the bill this year was about $20 cheaper & for some reason Panda's JS was $12 dearer than Tilba's? Anyway on the whole I was happy with the visit. ETA While I was waiting to see the vet an old lady & her 17 y/o mini foxie came out. She pointed at I thought my BC & asked if she was a Husky. I said no a Border Collie. Then I realised my mistake  & said (my little white fluffy)he's a Japanese Spitz & that huskies were also Spitz. She said she'd never heard of Spitz before. I then told her that Poms were also a Spitz breed.
  11. Nala is very cute & soooo much bigger than Laci.
  12. I started reading this thread this morning & following it with much anticipation for good results. Then his passing, so sad, for you & for his brother. RIP little man & I hope Apollo feels better soon. I know it affects them as much as it does us.
  13. Exciting news dotdashdot. Will you be showing your pup & if so where mostly? Laci comes home in 8 days.
  14. Laci is 7 weeks & 4 days old. When Katie P put her into my arms she couldn't stop looking into my face. Her & her siblings are gorgeous little balls of white fluff. Let me out of here!
  15. Getting ready to go see Laci for the first time. So excited I have butterflies in my stomach. Hope my hands stop shaking so I can get some great photos. :)
  16. That's just not fair. Praying all goes well on Monday Lhok.
  17. Precious is so cute, is that a little howl happening in the last photo?
  18. I have taken my last 2 pups to Sine Cheyne-Macpherson, one to Homebush & one to Concord which I found parking easier. It is positive only & only 2 puppies are allowed off lead together from about week 3. http://www.dpdta.com.au/trainers/view/58/1/wag-school
  19. I can finally join this forum legitimately. I'm getting a show Japanese Spitz puppy in 2 weeks time from Katie P. I have named the puppy Laci.
  20. Hi Maria, So sorry to hear of Bully's passing. He looks a real cutie. Have you checked out the puppy listings on Dol?
  21. I think my JS's main problem is that he has an overshot jaw. As I said in the other thread my granddaughter's little Chihuahua has a very basic kibble & doggy treats diet & her teeth are shiny & white.
