  1. I have wanted a peke for years and it is my next breed but with bubs coming any day now and my little darling pom cross on a rapid decline it is out of the question for me. I hope he gets a good home
  2. I would suggest cutting and pasting the info from the petlink ad seems to say it all really - about being working lines, good guard dogs and needing the right homes. I will be forwarding the full ad to PP so they can cross reference the details to see if that is where they came from so if there is future fallout then they have background info
  3. the petlink ad is still there - BREEDER removed as I don't want to name the DOL member Just born on 3rd July, have boys and girls. Most look like pure Dutch shepherds. Dutchies are working line dogs, high drive dogs who love to work. They can be great pets but need the right home. Both parents on view, both from working lines. Both are great dogs. These pups are being raised indoors with kids and cats. Will be great guard dogs too. Email for further details. Pups can be reserved in a few wks and can go in 7wks time. From $600 No time wasters thanks. Ad was placed on 5th July so pups were to be available before 8 weeks of age
  4. Funny how the gumtree and simpletrade ads have been pulled all of a sudden, I wonder if that is because there was a huge demand for puppies
  5. Going by your previous post jata about the pups new owner then it seems the mystery has been solved I hope that this particular cross if it "accidently" happens again and they end up in shops that PP (and other shops approached to discard them) remember the attention this litter has given them and turns them down
  6. As I mentioned earlier the OWNER who hands in/sells the puppies have their details recorded, it may not be too difficult to source that information. I don't think even Pets Paradise would protect the name/integrity of someone that has landed them with such a negative public outpouring especially knowing that this is not a suitable cross breed for a first time puppy owner which would be their key clientele.
  7. Legally any store has to maintain and keep records of who has sold puppies to them so whoever did breed/sell them will have had to fill out the forms and they are kept for at least 5 years I believe
  8. I believe offering to help owners and puppies that can end up in very bad placements is very constructive and I applaud those trying to do the responsible thing for the breed - sorry - cross breed
  9. Honest question - if he owes $x in rent etc what are the chances of the duped people getting any compensation from him?
  10. "umm what just bit me on the ass?" "oh it is just Karma, where have you been I've been expecting you!"
  11. These "Bulldog breeders" have been caught out scamming so many people and they keep falling for it
  12. You need a permit to own a squirrel and they only come from one accredited breeder as far as I am aware, I believe they are Indian Palm Squirrels. Regarding shooting roos in SA you have to get a permit to allow them to be shot on private property and the carcass must be tagged and buried, you are not allowed to use the meat for human or animal consumption and there are fines if you do so. We breed rats/mice for my birds of prey but have a CO2 unit for euthanasia and they are kept in a very clean environment, I have scaled it down as it is cheaper for me to buy in day old chickens (already gassed) as well as frozen rats/mice from wholesalers
  13. Actually I never said I hope he gets raped at all, I apologised for my post and in fact I was going to edit it after seeing it highlighted in OT but when I came in to do it I noticed you had pointed it out anyway in the general news forum so it was pointless. Since my apology isn't good enough I have edited my post as I was going to originally so not to continue to offend but if you would like to keep yours there then that is your choice
  14. Erm.. got some penis issue you need to discuss? Seriously, I can't help but wonder why anyone would suggest something like that or why some people seem to jump immediately to mutilation of genitals as a form of punishment. That aside, I really don't think it's an appropriate comment to make on a forum that can be accessed by minors and is not expected to contain content of a penis burning variety.. Umm p**** issues not me at all "That's what strap-ons are actually for. True story" from one of your recent quotes and my avatar doesn't have a finger going to touch a "noodly little appendage" either but that is ok for kids to see and read though. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder but my 7 year old son (who can't read small font luckily pointed it out to me and thought it was something rude too. I'm not interested in a critical debate about my posts but if I did say something that was inappropriate then I sincerely apologise to those that were offended. I would be quite happy to edit and remove that quote if you would like but since you highlighted it in your post it would still be there for people to see. And I agree that if the act of cruelty was done in Australia the perpertrator would have got off easier. Edited to clarify I didn't "point" out the avatar my son he was showing me his hand drawn birthday card for his sister and he showed it to me and asked what it was
  15. I think that it is important to note that the Governing Body has approved this and whether or not breeders sell to shops or not, if it was a major concern why would DogsNSW allow it, aren't they supposed to represent the best interests of the purebred dog community? If it is a huge issue I suggest members do something about it. Lovemesideways you can walk into most shelters in SA and walk out with a shelter dog that day, most of these dogs are strays and have no history either. so it isn't any different. I understand that the eastern states rescuers do a fantastic job including home visits, fostering etc but until our main organisations realise the value of such people this will never change.
  16. Just wanted to add also that PIAA has asked the RSPCA for a list of known puppy farms so that they can inform their members who they are so that they can be avoided but the RSPCA declined due to Privacy reasons
  17. Now remembering that we don't sell puppies and I am coming from a business perspective only, it makes absolutely no sense for any pet shop to pts a pup if it gets too big. Firstly the pup has been bought, vaccinations, microchip etc done, you have paid staff to feed/clean them etc. This all costs x amount of dollars and my staff are on say $20-25 per hour so the costs add up. You are paying high rents, have electricity costs etc etc. Most businesses would discount puppies as they grow but it makes no sense to pts and make a total loss. I make more actual profit from not selling puppies and I end up with long term, valued customers that I can service throughout the life of their pet regardless of where it came from. Regarding killing pups and feeding them off I am not saying it isn't true but really who would get their hands that dirty and lose money when even feeding them crap food would be less costly.
  18. Sorry I automatically think registered Breeder when someone says Ethical Breeder That should be a goood thing though right? My first answer was in relation to JSK's question regarding ANKC breeders
  19. Yes in some states (NSW poss?) Registered Breeders can sell to pet shops and they do. I have had registered breeders in SA approach me to buy puppies but it had to be hush, hush I do not sell puppies and I should have taken details and reported them to SACA but couldn't be bothered. I have also seen registered breeders dump puppies at the AWL to offload if they have had excess or have health issues and don't want to pts themselves and if they are rehomed they don't know who to. As well as oops cross breed litters, CCR X Alaskan Malamute litter comes to mind I get oops litters happen but to me an ethical breeder would desex and rehome the pups themselves not let them go to a shelter to be rehomed to just anyone off the street. As we all know just because you are a Registered Breeder it doesn't make you an ethical breeder and that it is where there is a distinguishment I believe. To me ethical breeders care about what happens to their pups from conception to the end, they offer back up support to their puppy buyer and they have a genuine desire to better and protect their chosen breed/breeds.
  20. Oh that is really nice to see that he is staying in jail Due to the insensitive and inappropriate content of my previous post I have deleted it so not to further offend people.
  21. I love Zoom Grooms for short coated breeds, they are nice on your feet when they are sore too
  22. To me it is like say "hey gran I know you are 90 and all but if you wake up in the middle of the night and want to go to the toilet it will annoy me so nick off outside and go behind the bush if you need too". 17 years old for goodness sake when will we start valuing our animals lives more And to the sick little f'er that did it I hope Karma rips you a new one
  23. Exactly Raz wtf was a 17 year old cat doing being booted outside in the middle of the the night does not excuse the lowlifes behaviour though.
  24. I have contacted 3 of our natural treat suppliers and none of them have them, sorry
