Sorry - Yet Another "what Breed Should They Get" Thread
Aziah replied to jr_inoz's topic in General Dog Discussion
Sorry not a Corgi (especially a Pembroke)...some are very active many are quite layed back BUT the Pembroke does shed copious amounts of hair and there's no break from that, there's something coming out all year round it's just the amount that varies. You're looking at anywhere between $1000-$1400 for a well bred Pembroke puppy on the East Coast. Occassionally there might be a mature dog available for the cost of desexing. Young adults often are the same cost as a puppy and in some cases they are house trained etc. Based on coat (hair) alone I'd not recommend a Pembroke. -
yes the inlaws never understand this, for some reason they have this magical logic of 'oh but its christmas' and somehow any side affects are avoided becauses 'its christmas' i prefer the company of my dog more so can i put the inlaws somewhere else? LOL Of course you can - better still, don't answer the door when they come knocking ;)
-
...and if you can't trust your guests (not to feed them tid bits) it might be best to pop the dog/s somewhere safe and quiet in the house.

I hope no one is expecting class 18/a at too many shows early in 2012... The January NSW gazette is now online and only 2 shows are offering Neuter (Australian Working Dog Club and a double at Tumbarumba). Guess I shouldn't have been so lazy this year and brought Chelsea out more often

thanks for the tip sinta!

Just to go slightly off topic... I have seen this "at" with the other kennel name on the end on a UK site I was on, but have only seen it once over here (but the dog was imported). Is it not common for that to happen for dogs bred in Australia? Is it not allowed in Australia? Do you mean *Prefix Funky Dude at Prefix* ? No it's not allowed here (unless the dog is registered that way elswhere and imported) because here we cannot register a dog that has anothers prefix in its name.

Hillsborough is from noon onwards the day before the show But good to know you set up early Friday morning at Morisset sounds like a plan!
-
I don't know for sure but I would assume you'd be safe to set up tomorrow from lunch time, maybe earlier.
-
That's the one, thankyou

Some time ago someone posted a link to a site that allowed you to upload a photo into a setting (for example, one setting was wall art - graffiti)... Does anyone remember the website address?
-
Simple - don't allow her off lead until you have established effective recall. You can practice that when you are alone at the beach or park or home, progress to a long lead when people are around and use that to help in your training. They say that reliable recall displays a great bond between dog and its human.

I see what you are saying EF, but my question is relating to the situation where the specialty is NOT offering any Neuter Classes, so you are unable to enter the neuter at the specialty show anyway. I don't think it matters - it's still a CC... I guess Dogs VIC will need to answer this one!
-
I dont' believe that to be correct (the first part I have bolded - not in this state anyway - NSW). The National ruling is correct.
-
Wow! He's either grossly overweight (by 20kgs!) or way oversize... From the breed standard: Weight: Dogs 35-45 kg (77-99 lbs) Bitches 30-40 kg (66-88 lbs)

How long ago though? Days, weeks, a month? ETA: snap rebelsquest

What Age Does A Male Dog Stop Producing Pups?
Aziah replied to Blakbelgian's topic in Breeders Community
I had a 10 year old sire a litter of 9 with a very below average sperm count. I agree, that having him checked is the most sensible option. -
