  1. Good, I feel better now  I have an almost 9 year old who likes licking things!
  2. Spreadsheet - a sheet for each year in the excel book, a link from each judge name to a notepad with the full results and column following the judge name with each dog and class entered etc.
  3. I've listed several jackets and a skirt suit in the Marketplace in OT.
  4. A full brother of Frank's sire is on this page http://www.powerbulmas.com/ourdogs.html (Hondo)
  5. 1: i dont know 2: no what should i do now? wallow in self pity or leave the pup on the breeders door step? Return the pup or at least have it DNA tested to know if you're going to be up for heartache in the near future.
  6. AFFECTED with L-2-HGA: the dog has two copies of the L-2-HGA mutation and is affected with L-2-HGA. It will develop L-2-HGA at some stage during its lifetime, assuming it lives to an appropriate age. L-2-HGA affects the central nervous system, with clinical signs usually apparent between 6 months and one year (although they can appear later). Symptoms include epileptic seizures, "wobbly" gait, tremors, muscle stiffness as a result of exercise or excitement and altered behaviour. * the above taken from the website that Rebanne posted (if you'd read it - it's there in plain English). I feel you're not listening to anything anyone is telling you - this isn't just something minor.
  7. I'm not going to go on and on about something you say you're committed to so... I'd start integrating the Proplan into the diet after the first few days (slowly), don't feed the weet bix at all (IMO) instead of that you could offer a small amount of Proplan (if the pup won't eat it completely dry, you can semi-soak it).
  8. Jamaican Me Hot Jamaican Me Yell Jamaican Me Laugh Jamaican Me Lose It Jamaican Me Jealous Jamaican Me Giggle Jamaican The Job Easy Jamaican Me A Drink Jamaican Me Dribble
  9. Why don't you ask the breeder NOW what he/she is feeding rather than waiting until you pick the puppy up, that way you can go through it all ahead of time and ensure you have everything organised. I always ensure that I send out a diet sheet well in advance so that new owners have ample time to get what they need and ask questions etc. Feeding is such an important part of raising a puppy and should be discussed at length with your breeder :)
  10. Correct - plain old human beef mince is a no no. No - bones won't be too big for your puppy at that age, she should easily manage chicken wings and necks. The typical diet for a little 8 week old puppy is WHAT THE BREEDER RAISED HER ON (providing it's balanced). After some time you can make changes and add things. You should ALWAYS keep your puppy on what the breeder has been feeding for at least the first week or two and then you can slowly change over to your own diet.
  11. Feed her main meal in the morning - or crate her.
  12. Have what I need, thanks :)
  13. If you try the sardines, just try a small amount of dry and use the time limit. If the beef mince is like the stuff we would cook then I feel that she would get more nutrience from wings & necks etc.
  14. My suggestion to you is put her meal down and if she hasn't eaten it in 15 minutes then take it away until next meal time then only offer her half of the previous meal that she left. If she eats all of that meal then offer her a little more at the enxt meal. There will be a turning point where she eats her meals when they are given. Don't offer her a huge meal to start with because it's obvious she's not going to eat it all as she hasn't done previously. You can also try mixing some plain yoghurt, an egg or sardines in oil in with the dry food. I'd also suggest you cut out the beef mince (assuming it's the mince we'd cook with?) and the chopped steak and replace that with chicken wings, turkey necks etc. I'd also suggest minimal treats for training until you have her eating her main meals well.
  15. Are you going to breed her?
  16. Only for Dogs NSW members Thanks, does not make it easy for interstate people to enter Do you want the ET schedule Sir Sniffalot?
  17. Does anyone know where I can find info on the Dogs NSW Endurance Test scheduled for August 2012?
  18. Sometimes they'll push you to the limit because they know you'll just give up or let it continue. Place front feet, firm but steady hand to secure his head, place back feet, wait a couple of seconds then feed/praise...repeat. You have to be quick in praising even if the stand is very brief.
  19. Practice and more practice. You need to take him out to show training or get your friends to come around and go over him while you keep him calm and steady.
