  1. Its only Tully that looks even the little bit impressed about wearing the ears this year!
  2. Love em, Sid with the chicks bum hanging out classic!! Evolving Echo looks so happy! Bobby and Alera not so much! I've got some too, I took them a week ago, getting in early.
  3. I have one of them too! Glad she is ok!
  4. Maybe there is a few internal ones? Looks like a neat job they have done. How's Fern today?
  5. To the dog is being a typical dog, seemingly a bit excited, monotone barking (my youngest one does that when he wants something or for attention) like he is trying to tell you something. To me it's more what he is not doing that shows he is not being aggressive, no raised hackles, no bared teeth, it's a little hard to be fully sure of what's going on with the quality of the video and without knowing what has happened before the video was shot, he definatley seems in a somewhat excited state, kind of like he has been amped up in some way? Only my opinion, I'm certainly no expert just like to observe dog behavior, I have 4 of my own and have been a volunteer instructor at an obedience school. What's the story is the dog yours? Do you think he is being aggressive?
  6. I agree with bite me, he is just trying to tell you something! Like put that video down and get my ball or whatever it was in the water.
  7. That is a huge amount of stitches, hope fern is feeling ok!
  8. Ok thanks, it must depend what it is, I added 4 harnesses to the cart and it said shipping $18 to OZ.
  9. Yea that's what I thought, but at this point in time that can wait, As much as I thought the vet was great, I thought she was quick to say about Lacys teeth, the last time I seen Craig he said keep an eye on them, and he seen them quite regularly with the delta testing. She does have one of her back ones broken but there has been no trouble with it so far.
  10. What's the postage like? I've had a look and can't see anything about postage? The easy dog harnesses and leads are super cheap! Plain as the nose on my face when I looked again, orders over $75 free. Whoops no checked again that's only for US customers.
  11. I took the dogs for a quick run to brierly this morning before the vets and took particular notice of the sign near the play ground, dogs can be near the play ground but if they are within 30m they have to be on a lead. The rest of the area apart from the ovals is all offlead.
  12. I'm sure your right Moosey and thanks to everyone for the reassurance. I'll have a friend here next week when he goes in so she will be a good distraction for me on the day! The lump under his arm has already been checked with a FNA and they could tell it was just a fatty cyst. I will ask them if they think the one on his face needs to be biopsied and be guided by what they say.
  13. Hopefully, he will stay healthy and only have to go once a year, then I wont have to worry about it. The vet said today she thinks Lacy needs a dental @$300 I said it will have to wait till Coops all good. She didn't look in Bronsosn mouth probly just as well. I thought Coops procedure would have been around $500 but she quoted me $350 or maybe a bit less, does that seem ok? Not sure what she charged me for today, its about $70 now just for vaccs.
  14. Thanks Jj, I do like to think they are well rounded, well socialised and good K9 citizens, I have worked hard with them to get them that way with a few hitches which I think is to be expected with 4, but for the most part all good so I really am at a loss about the vet visits, can I say I think it is a boy thing ... My girls are fine at the vet and pretty bomb proof in most situations, apart from Tullys tiny bit of hesitation with other dogs. They have to be pretty bomb proof for the hospital and to pass the vet/Delta assessment. But as for the boys, here is my theory, Cooper had very badly damaged ear drums (actually both perforated) when he was very young, about 6 months old if memory serves me, so lots of vet visits, lots of poking proding etc, lots of medication and an operation, then there was "some" incident at the groomers also in a vet clinic which set him on a path to absolute mayhem with men which we have now over come with lots of work, (Thanks to Cesar and Laura for all their great ideas, they worked) and I would say Cooper is pretty much 100% cured but I don't get complacent as I know there is no guarantees that something won't set him off but i do my best to avoid any sort of situation that may cause him undue stress and anything that may make him revert back to his old habits, it was a trying time but we got there in the end. I must say today was probably the happiest and the best I have ever seen him at the vets ever! As for the Youngster of the gang, well who knows he is a complicated little fella, he gets anxious in unfamiliar surroundings but once we have been a few times he is fine. He has been so healthy so basically no visits to the vets apart from yearly vaccinations, but when he was young he chewed a panadol packet that I wasn't sure had anything in it so off to the vets for a vomit, he may have chalked that up to a bad experience and remembered it but at the time he was happy as Larry and after the chuck running around like a mad thing and even the vet commented and said dogs were usually lethargic after they have the stuff to make them vomit, not Bronson he did not miss a beat, he has a cast iron constitution!! The only other time he has ever been was for a sore on his head and he was so bad that time the vet had to treat him outside, she even bought the clippers outside to shave the patch on his head, he was fine outside. So possibly the smell for him is enough to make him anxious? He would not even take a treat today, off me or the vet, there was just no winning him over at all, but he did stay still enough to do what she had to do. Perhaps they feed off me a bit, I do my best to be calm and confident when we go in there but I generally dislike having to deal with vets in general. Maybe they can feel that?? ANy other theories?
  15. Well I am happy to report I was very happy with todays vet visit, the vet was lovely and very reassuring about Coops procedure, we decided he will have the lypoma and the thing on his face removed at the same time, so next friday is the day. She said they will sedate him while I am there and call me as soon as he can be picked up and leave him be till I get there. he was such a good boy today I was wrapped. Bronson on the other hand was awful, he was so anxious and really out of sorts, he hasn't been to the vets hardly at all in his 4 years and it shows, she did manage to get him vaccinated and looked in his ears which was the main two things I wanted her to do. I had to put him back in the car before we looked at Cooper and Lacy, he couldn't get out of there fast enough! So for the time being I will be sticking with Wollasten. fingers crossed for a good outcome for Coop next friday the 13th
  16. Poor Snakey, lucky dogs! Hope my fuzzy little mongrels never find one in our back yard. We have a swamp type river over our back fence too and I am always scared of snakes coming into the yard, we have had one outside the fence when the units next door were being built, but apart from that haven't seen one in 8 years! Your videos are great!
  17. Well we are home from the vets, She was lovely, young but very good. It went exactly how I thought it would go, she said we could leave the lump under his arm and just do his face with a snip and cauterize, and I said the lump under his arm is twice as big as it was this time last year so if we leave it, it means they will have to cut more away, and thats another surgery down the track, she agreed. So next Friday he will go in. She was looking at the calendar to make a date and when I said Friday would suit me, she said ok yes Friday will work and look at that its friday the 13th So now I am doing my best not to be superstitious! I explained to her a few past issues we have had with Cooper and our journey to getting him to be the best dog he can be and she said they will sedate him while I am there and when he wakes up they will put a note on his cage that he is to be left alone to I get there to pick him up. So I am really happy with that. I must say today was the best I have ever seen Cooper at the vets ever, he was a real champ, from a dog that had to be muzzled and held down for examination to a happy tail wagging fella. :) he looked a little worried when she pulled out the stethoscope but it only lasted for a second! So fingers crossed it will all go smoothly, she said the thing on his face is a benign cyst, she didn't mention anything about sending it away to be checked to I must remember to ask about that when i go in.
  18. I think your right MG, to begin with the vet was happy to leave it, but the size it has grown to is really worrying now. If the vet is in doubt I might use your quote!!
  19. Thanks if the phone service is anything to go by I'll be very happy! The app is 10.30, I'll pop in here after I get home. Wierd about your password etc? Glad Lava street is working out well, have you come across Sue yet?
  20. Well that's given me something to think about re the lump, he doesn't seem worried by it at all but I can see it becoming troublesome if it gets too much bigger as it is under his arm. Thanks for all the replies, it helps when we worry about these things! App is tomorrow morning at 10.30. Might be an interesting visit, I've never taken 3 at once before!
  21. It sure would be great if they just did that but the lump under his arm is quite sizey, around the size of a soft golf ball if that makes sense. So if they decide it needs taking out I'm sure it will have to be a GA. I think ive decided if they can snip and quarterize the face thing and they say he can live with the lump under his arm for a bit longer I will go that way. If he has to have a GA for his face I'll get them to do the lump as well. The lump under his arm has already been checked and a FNA done and they said it was a fatty cyst but it has gotten quite a bit bigger since I first noticed it.
