Ive been practicing taking shots indoors with no flash, what I do is bump up the iso, and use the camera on Shutter priority, and just click off some shots that look like they are the most natural. Its easier during the day if you have lotsof natural light But at night i have as many lights on as possible I don't like using the flash at all as the dogs always have thier eyes shut. I have a speed light many I should figure out how to use it!

So sorry to hear about Texas, my deepest sympathy to you and our doggies, how are they coping? All your photos here really reflect how much of a fantastic life Texas has and how you feel about him. We lost our old dog at 16 and it was the hardest thing ever, even when you know it is coming, it doesn't make it any easier! Thinking of you at this sad time, take care. xx

Well what a day I did get the girls to the vets, and in between running around doing jobs for the WGS and my own bits and pieces also fitting in a Delta visit at the hospital, it's been quite hectic. so much for having a rest on my one day off for the week! The new part of the hospital is very nice, big and roomy and lovely and clean and it smells so new. The patients and nursing staff seem impressed, it will take a while for us to navigate our way around the new area as Medical, Pal and rehab as in the new section. I have just been pipped off top fundraising spot for the WGS, one of the other girls her and I were neck and neck with me being in the lead all the way and she was only going to color and she made a statment to all her family and friends that if she could raise $1000 she would shave so her total has gone up and she needs about another $65 and she will be up to her $1000 so I am thinking at this point in time she will be shaving! Which is great as now there is 3 girls shaving!

I do look at my guys when we are at obedience but only intermittently to make sure they are still there If we are doing a routine I like to look strait ahead and be confident that the dog is right by my side. I work with all of mine off leash now and I find if I move with confidence and assertivness they never stray from the routine. I hope this makes sense, I find if I am constantly looking at them they are kind of hesitantly waiting for a cue and one of my girls especially thinks me looking automatically means food is imminent. When we teach new people that come to the club we tell them to look ahead and be assertive, I have always thought this was the right way maybe it's not. Anyway my way works for me and to me thats the main thing.

Well your new additions sound like feisty little critters!! Look forward to some pics. Tenties, I am off to the hospital tomorow for Delta, and then have jobs to do for Saturday and have to get BBQ stuff for Friday, not to mention trying to find time to pay some bills and get the girls to the vets or thier path testing so no Albert park for me, actually I might have to wait till next week for the vets as I really don't think I'm going to fit everything in tomorow!

Hi Jess, no worries, I really didn't want people to feel pressured into sponsoring me, I was just hoping to gather a few bucks by just telling people what I was doing and if they want to sponsor me then thats all good. Tenties I got your FB msg, I am not at work at all tomorrow and I'm out and about all day, but don't stress I will catch you at some stage.

I don't really have an answer to your question but just wanted to sat that the dog that bit me was totally calm and showed no signs of aggression what so ever, I had two of my dogs and my friend had one of hers and we had stopped to let these people with 3 dogs go past (all dogs on lead) as we were at a narrow section of the path we were walking on, as the people went past one of thier dogs just out of the blue flew for my youngest boy and instinctively I pulled him out of the way but as a result I got a chunk taken out of my leg, lucky for me if it had of been my dogs face he would probly have been missing an eye or worse. This dog showed no signs what so ever that it was going to attack. The worst part was the people admitted it had done it before!

Just to throw a spanner in to the works, have you looked at Wahl clippers, I use the km ss it's great and with 4 dogs it does a lot of clipping hasn't missed a beat. I got mine with a set of SS guide combs it cost me $350. I know you can get them cheaper than that. What are you using now?

Very cute! Do you know what he is crossed with?

In sweet that's not what I would call it! 70% of the time I'm ignored and I expect that really which is sad! I posted a thread here http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=214812 Apart from you Janet and Shan only 2 sponsors from DOL, which I'm very grateful for. I hate asking people for money and I think these days people are not willing to part with it. I guess everyone is struggling. Most of my sponsors have been other doggy friends and family and a few from work. Wonder how Tez is doing I miss her in here!! Haven't heard from Lizzy for yolks either.
