  1. Last Saturday it rained some, so my friend lillypilly pulled out her camera and started snapping away trying to catch the dropets hitting the puddles near us... here are my attempts... Trust me - catching these was a LOT harder than you'd think... took over 1000 shots for a handful of ones that were timed right... next time I'll even try to centre them better... hehe! T.
  2. This one ain't a dog... but it's definitely doing zoomies... T.
  3. Haha - KC doesn't seem to slow crazy puppies down one little bit. Occasionally they will stop, have a hacking coughing fit, spit up some phlegm, then continue playing like nothing has happened... Having had quite a few rescue fosters, you tend to know what to look for in case the cough develops into something that requires more attention... *grin* If your older dog is otherwise pretty fit and healthy, then if he does have KC, he should still be ok. just watch to see if he is coughing up coloured phlegm - if it's yellow or green, get him some AB's - if it's white or clear, then just treat him for the sore throat with Benadryl or Active Manuka Honey... One of my babies had a long coughing fit last night, so I gave her some normal honey, and that seemed to stop it in it's tracks for a while... now she wants more of the sweet stuff... T.
  4. I don't mind if someone takes a photo of me and/or my dogs, but if they have the intention of posting it all over the internet, or to sell for use in some way, then I'd prefer them asking my permission to do so. I have some great photos taken during the Youth Day/Week thing in Sydney a couple of years ago, but I've not posted them anywhere due to them clearly showing people's faces and I never asked permission to post them in a public place. I also have photos of people at a dog park interacting with mine and their own dogs - I won't post those publically either. T.
  5. I'd give the oodle a nice short summer clip - and do it regularly - will make life easier for everyone all around methinks... As for Labs shedding... mine is in full summer shed right now... grrr! Anyone noticed how nothing sticks to Lab fur, but Lab fur sticks to everything? I still haven't figured that one out... T.
  6. I want Kirislin's talent AND her camera... lol! T.
  7. Love the last one... cracked me up! T.
  8. Hmmm... it's an awfully big coincidence for your dog to suddenly start showing KC symptoms immediately after he's been intubated during surgery. Not totally outside the realms of possibility, but then again, many vets won't want to admit that they may have caused your dog discomfort via their intubation procedures either... If it is KC, then don't worry too much unless the poor old fellow gets chesty or has green/yellow phlegm, OK? If the latter, get your vet to prescribe AB's then - until then, your dog doesn't need them for the KC bug itself... I have 3 pups here with varying degrees of KC... nothing I'm too worried about - seen plenty of it before, and will probably see plenty more before I'm done... *grin*... the joys of rescue foster caring... T.
  9. I'd be more likely to suspect that your boy is coughing due to irritation from the tube he had in his throat during surgery... KC has a longer gestation period than a day or two... Same treatment though if he has a sore throat - the Manuka honey will sooth it for him... T.
  10. It sounds like your old girl is having a second childhood... lol! My Zeddy has funny spates like this sometimes when certain personality type rescue pups are around... and as long as whatever is ingested can pass happily through at the other end, I'm not too worried... *grin* T.
  11. Jed - I wish I was in a position to help you out... but I don't think you'd want your sweet dogs subject to harassment from my regular rescue foster pups - although I think you might not have too much trouble finding people to look after your babies until you are ready to have them back. Wishing you a speedy road to full recovery so you can have all of your dogs currently in care back with you where they belong. T.
  12. Give Andrea a call... http://www.companionsforlife.com.au/ T.
  13. Beagle and Cavalier zoomies... Cavalier crazy ears zoomies... Cute Koolie puppy zoomies... Crazy scruffy zoomies... You took my toy and I'm gonna make you give it back zoomies... Big and little zoomies... I gots a toy and ain't sharing zoomies... 3 way zoomies... Uncoordinated puppy zoomies... Happy dog park zoomies... T.
  14. This one has an older twin... Check out this photo of a particular foster I rehomed to the most perfect home... Slight resemblance methinks... T.
  15. Loving the happy Staffords something chronic - awesome shots! T.
  16. Better to have learned from your mistakes and moved on, than to never learn because you choose to be ignorant... You can only try - but don't push too hard if they aren't interested, OK? T.
  17. I've had a few rescue foster pups... here are some faves... Zoe Willow meeting Zeddy... Winston (now called Herc) Clyde James getting goosed by Flower Bindi Dexter giving Trouble a pat Buster doing his Aliens impersonation Buster all safe and sound T.
  18. Trouble has her name for a reason... but you wouldn't guess it from this photo... I love this one of Trouble and Zeddy together... My fave one of Zeddy... telling me she didn't just snaffle another dog's Puppacino... T.
  19. OK - what about slowing down the dodgy commercial mass puppy breeders by insisting that the RSPCA (or any other body that has the powers) actually go in there and enforce the current laws that are being broken. Until the people responsible for policing the laws actually do so less than intermittently, we ain't going to see anything change - new laws or not... Get the RSPCA to go with Debra on some of her puppy farm raids that she has pics posted of all over her website... surely those sort of places can be shut down under the current laws? Maybe some of the money that is earmarked for policing any new laws could be better spent possibly advertising on TV, radio, print media, etc with some very real info on where so many of those cute little fluffy puppies in the stores actually come from? T.
  20. When my Lab was a pup, doing the poo patrol was always an adventure... The best was one day she had been playing in a mud puddle and scoffed a gutful of mud - and she had done a perfect poop all made only of mud! Truly weird! ... oh... and we STILL don't know where the missing remote battery went - the vets swear blind it wasn't inside her... only bits of chewed up rock... err!! T.
  21. We certainly have plenty of velvety ears for rubbing at my place SheWolf... lol! T.
  22. They are too cute for words, that's definitely the truth. Had them outside yesterday evening while I cleaned up the day's mess in the playpen... and the little buggers decided that playing in the rain and getting all wet was a good idea... *sigh* At least I don't have any mud puddles in the yard, or I'm sure they would have had a riot of a time in one... T.
  23. It's way too cute when they have those really fun dreams, isn't it? I think the one who needs training right now is Mum... err! T.
