I found that when taking Tramal myself, I would take a Maxolon tab about 15 mins before taking the Tramal, and then I wouldn't vomit. Nasty drug, but it certainly kills the pain of an abscessed wisdom tooth... *grin* That said, after taking it myself, I'd never give it to any of my dogs... it definitely sends you a bit loopy... T.

OMG!!! You guys are all doing Mumma Pei proud... Marnie is absolutely divine! Can I be the president of the Marnie fan club? *grin* T.
-
Awww... Marnie and LT are the perfect pair, aren't they? Marnie is quickly becoming one of the nicest looking SharPei's I've ever seen (sorry Sue&Crew - Jake is gorgeous too!) - good on you for helping her to become a well trained and well mannered canine citizen too LT... T.

Merna, May got the best last days because of your care and compassion... remember her well in your heart, and she will never be far away... Hugs at ya chicky! T.

Boss is a mega spunk... I'd just love to give him a big cuddle... and he's definitely built for it I'd say! Give them both cuddles from me Merna... T.

How big is Marnie getting? A nice big healthy and happy girl. You are doing so well with her LT - and she's obviously thriving under your loving care. T.

WOW!! Marnie is even smarter than I thought... or she has one excellent trainer! You are going to have so much fun with your amazing little girl LT... T.

You must be a pretty responsible young lady for your mum to have gotten you such a cool new friend for your very own... enjoy every minute with her, OK? I had the pleasure of playing with Marnie and her sisters and brother, and they were all very well behaved pups... you have the perfect little lady there that will be very easy to train... she's the smartest of the litter you know! Please give her a hug from Aunty Tracey, OK? T.

OK - can your Nikons get nearly 1200 photos out of one standard battery charge? My Canon 450D finally asked for a new battery after 1190 shots... me is very happy with that! T.

Do You Have Any Of Your Own Pictures Displayed In Your House?
tdierikx replied to ruthless's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
We have a very nice colour laser printer at work that the office manager lets me use to print my photos on (at A4 size no less) for 9c a page... I have a few of those A4 display books with photos printed at work so far... and my boss actually bought a couple of prints done this way for $5 each - she wanted to pay $10 each, but I thought that was a bit steep seeing as I only pay 9c to print them... *grin* I have quite a few of my own photos on my wall at work - my co-workers love looking at my babies... and everyone has one of my photos as their computer desktop too... I really have to find some nice frames and put some up around the house methinks - but the fridge is off limits - that's where my neighbour's little boy's artwork goes! T. -
I went for the 450D and couldn't be happier with it... Get the twin IS lens kit... comes with the EF-S 18-55mm IS and the EF-S 55-250mm IS lenses - the IS is great for eliminating those little shakes. A decent UV filter, a spare battery, and a good sized memory card are also advised... *grin* Tip: if you turn off the preview after taking photos thing, you'll get much better battery life. I've taken around 800 photos so far with mine, and only used 1/3 of the battery. T.

Sweet Little shared her last years in the best place ever Anna... Ken's and your love was obviously returned thousandfold... I'm sure that my Woosie has plenty of snuggle room for Little to share at the Rainbow Bridge. Run free sweet Little... T.

For batch resizing with decent quality results, I use Easy Thumbnails - http://www.fookes.com/ Don't let the name of the program put you off - it does a great job... T.

Badly Broken Nail - Quick Exposed
tdierikx replied to benny123's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My last Rottie used to do that on a regular basis... and it cost $325 per vet visit to remove the rest of the nail... errr! Neocort is good stuff, but I'd be packing the foot with cotton wool and bandaging it to stop her licking at it. Put a child's sock over the bandage for good measure, then take her to the vet as soon as possible for assessment of the situation. If she gets an infection in there, it can end up very nasty! T. -
rmc, You'd be amazed at how well you can say goodbye in a short time if you have to... my Shadow knew she was truly loved by everyone she came into contact with for her last weeks - including all of our vet staff. She was actually in hospital for her last 6 days being fed on a drip due to the tumor not allowing her to eat properly. We were allowed to visit with her for a few hours each day also. In the end, if you can't have the time you want to have with your beloved baby, you make sure that the time you do have is of the highest quality you can offer - and when the time comes to do the right thing for them, you know that too... I'm still sending good vibes that you have caught your baby's cancer early enough for her to live a long and happy life... T.
-
I feel for you rmc... I lost my dear Shadow from this insideous disease a few years ago. Hers was in her mouth and it was only 2 weeks from first discovery of a small growth to having to pts. Good vibes being sent your way hoping that your baby's lump was found so early that she makes a full recovery... T.

How To Properly Bathe Your Dog
tdierikx replied to kyliegirl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My girls got a bath yesterday... their first in about 12 months... We then went to the off leash park where the little darlings found the first huge muddy puddle and wallowed in it... hahaha! T. -
Remember The Eyes In Amityville Horror
tdierikx replied to Kayne's Mum's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Paint Shop Pro has built in red-eye removal tools for animals' eyes... maybe there is a PhotoShop filter that you can get to do the same? Basically, a standard point and shoot digital camera is not going to give great indoor or low light shots - especially if it's megapixel rating is on the high side - too many pixels crammed into a very small sensor causes all sorts of issues... grrr! Best bet is to try taking photos of your sweetie outdoors in good sunlight. T.
