  1. ewwww looks like it's whole....I could just cope with the smell when defrosting and feeding minced green tripe, but as far as cutting it up for them as well - sorry Mim looks like you're on your own there I'll never get rid of it ;) I'll take it if you're not too far from me Please tell me you live close to North Perth? I'll take it off your hands if you can deliver to Millie's party ;) Though I'm not sure if I could stomach the smell from the sounds of it!
  2. I may come but unless there is water I will be dogless so not really helping Pretty sure there is river but I'll wait for RS to confirm There is water, but to be honest, I can't remember how accessible it is from the BBQ area. I don't believe there is a beach for them to use, but the Labs don't seem to care, they just jump off the edge and into the water ;) We can take a walk too if we want to where the beach is, it isn't far and it's quite secluded. So secluded I thought it might be private, but there were no signs to say no public access beyond that point! Oooh showing what breed?
  3. Oh yes of COURSE! I do remember her posting something about it! Woohoo Can't wait for the details
  4. You people and your small dogs Millie (I presume Millie, but she could be framing Ruby) dug a Lab sized hole under the fence I have blocking off the sandy part of the lawn that won't grow Seems if I leave cardboard out for them to destroy they usually don't dig, so cardboard has made an appearance in the yard again today, fingers crossed that works!
  5. You sneaky little devil, TSD!! Getting a pup and not announcing it to us in the training forum She's cuuuuute!!
  6. Sorry, no clue I'd like to say she's just being a b!tch, but that's more the excuse I make for Ruby Maybe she is just a bit sore? Was the grass wet? Will she do these things on grass if you provide lots of rewards for doing so? If she still won't with rewards on offer, I'd say she's a bit sore
  7. I think it's next year Huski, when he is back in Australia and going to WA also. Really?! Where do we find out more info so we can get in on that??
  8. I can't get the exact google maps link to work cos there is no fixed address for this place but if you go to google maps and enter "Esplanade Dalkeith", you need to go right to the very end of Esplanade as it turns into a carpark. The BBQ's are to the left of the carpark and the river is directly in front ;) I think the carpark is also for a restaurant down there (or a function centre of some sort). Hopefully this link works!!! http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&sou...=12,161.61,,0,5
  9. Yes my dogs find it tasty too, especially in orange
  10. We will be there, can you post a link to where we will be parking etc? I'll try and find the link I posted earlier in this thread later Thanks for posting, Amy!
  11. You have awesome dog park people! The ones at the park I sometimes go to near my parent's house is just full of old grumpy farts with their small precious dogs and give me evils that are willing me to leave, even though my big ferocious Labs don't go anywhere near their little ones who do come and pester mine while we're training! I don't let them run me out of there anymore because I have better control over my dogs than they do of theirs and I am entitled to be there just as much as them and their daily meetup group ;)
  12. I don't smell dog in my house If it's there, I sure don't know about it inhaling it 24/7, and if guests can smell it, that's their problem
  13. Yes, that would solve the hair problem!! It's not just the hair problem, it's the fact that they won't understand (at least not right away) that it's an invite only thing. A couple of years ago I was home sick from work for a week so one morning I let Ruby up on my bed with me, first time ever, for a quick 5 min cuddle (she couldn't lay down, she thought it was great so was bounding around the place before I booted her off). I tried it again 2 mornings later for 5 mins. Well, little miss decided one night when I put her to bed (in my room on the floor on her own bed) that she would take it upon herself to get up on my bed while I was off brushing my teeth. I get back to my room and she is sprawled out in all her glory on her back on my bed She got a nice telling off. Then she tried it again a couple of days later when I wasn't in my room. She hasn't tried since And here I was thinking she was smarter than that! Thought she'd understand it is invite only
  14. Sounds a bit like Millie but it was at my parents house and Dad would let her up but she would never get up when I was around, cos she knew I wouldn't let her I'd like to laugh but Millie ate mum and dad's lounge that I tried to keep her off but Dad kept undoing all my hard work and let her when I wasn't there. It took for her to eat it for Dad to realise it wasn't such a good idea There isn't much chance of them eating this lounge. They aren't left inside when I'm not home and it's not made of foam covered in thin material like that lounge was!
  15. Yours is suede like mine - AND cream with a black dog I figure if you can handle Lab hair on yours, I should be able to! Mine is a brown suede colour, so Ruby's shows up all the time even when she isn't allowed on it. It sticks to my clothes, floats in the air, etc. It isn't just the hair that bothers me, I have black dirt in the backyard where I haven't done that part of the garden yet and they like to lay in it, so they are very filthy dogs, too!! I bathed Ruby on Saturday and Monday she was as black as Mason
  16. Mine just happens to be on the lounge next to me PT&ODC 6/11 - closing date Monday 25th October WCRC 13/11 - closing date Monday 25th October SRAODC 27/11 - closing date Monday 15th November I assume you don't want the one in Albany?
  17. I'm having a serious dilemma, here Hoping the DOLers can help me decide on what to do. It's tearing me apart..... I own 2 Labs. 2 very hairy Labs. 2 Labs that seem to be dropping more coat than usual (coming out of winter?) 2 Labs that I very much want to cuddle on the lounge at night. I own a suede lounge that attracts all sorts of stuff, even if I put a blanket over it. I have never allowed Labbies on the lounge before Labbies know their place is on the floor on their own beds, but floor hurts my butt if I want to cuddle them and it doesn't seem practical. Do I let them up on the lounge with me? The second I let them up, Miss Moo will think she can come up anytime, even when I'm not on it. I would really need to coax Miss Roo into coming up, she doesn't know how to 'do' lounges! How many others have a no lounge rule and what sort of breeds do you have? I know lots of you let your kids up, but I guess I'm interested to hear if I am the only freak who doesn't let them? Growing up with small dogs, they were always allowed up and even slept on my bed. But getting the Labs, the rules changed!
  18. Gorgeous pup, katie123!! Welcome Simple! Yes, please do introduce yourself to those of us who haven't been introduced yet
  19. I was going to, and as caring and sharing as I am, I think it best I stay home and keep my sickness to myself
  20. Just got a phone call to say my Clean Run order has arrived Just in time for Millie's bday!
  21. I meant that whatever I have, isn't as severe as a chest infection. I just have an annoying cough and yesterday I couldn't do much but lay on the lounge all day. When late evening rolled round I started feeling awful again to the point I thought there is no way I would make it to work again today. The panadol I had around 4am must have helped cos here I am at work You know when you feel so awful that no matter what position to lay in, you ache, you can't get comfortable, and you only sleep very lightly? That was me last night.
  22. Yes, sadly at work. Coughing up a lung or two so might go home in the early arvo.
  23. It's pouring outside and I have no lunch or an umbrella! Starved here!!!
