Yep we were, GR. Bugger about the tyre! Hate those. I call the RAC to change mine, I'm hopeless ;)
-
No good news from my end but I think Mirawee has some
-
but I might have been! I almost didn't come today, woke up feeling off colour. But by the time the yummy biccies arrived, I was feeling much better Thanks for taking the walk to us, they were gooooo-oooood!!! ;)
-
Don't worry Candice, must be something in the air today. On the whole, today's trial was atrocious!! :D Only a handful of quallies across the board in the classes. Really was a weird day today for everyone Ruby was really flat even practicing outside the ring with treats, so I knew it wasn't going to be a good round. We got in the ring, she was away with the fairies, so I pulled her straight out. G and Mav got their CDX title today so yay for them ;) Was about the only success story today

Not planning on opening the box of cookies until morning tea time so you have plenty of time to do housework before coming down ;) And now I really should go and start cooking since I lost motivation after sitting down in front of the computer It was 8.45pm when you posted that and yet to start cooking - I couldn't be bothered if I was you being so late! I was painting this afternoon and didn't stop til 9pm, so I had a late dinner. I knew if I stopped to have dinner then I wouldn't have had motivation to continue painting Undercoat is all done
-
I hope you plan on swinging by the bottom oval for those of us doing obedience tomorrow ;)
-
What age would be too old to start retrieving with your dog? I'm thinking once I've pursued my obedience and maybe agility goals with Ruby, I should focus on retrieving. But at the rate we're going, she may be ready for retirement before we get there
-
While I am away Zoe will introduce her to water and do some work with her and see if it is worth persisting - if it is then Zoe will definitely be training her. Just need to find somebody to do agility with her and I will have it all sorted Oh and if anybody wants to show her....... I would gladly trot around the show ring with her if I knew what I was doing! Need to see if this showing thing is for me or not before I decide on my next dog
-
I'll Cider sit while Zoe is competing :) So did you rope Zoe into training Cider for retrieving, or are you going to train her?
-
Congrats Luke and Barkly! Good going
-
My feet need serious training, sorry I can't help you with this one! Some funky footwork on the weekend caused a 270 degree left turn
-
I'm sure you will! She works lovely. We did it in 4. The first trial she laid down in her sit stay and that was our best score of the lot The next 3 were our passes but pretty darn average
-
Sorry ness, the DWD and HTM titles don't really appeal to me But love watching the dogs do their thing! Dancing isn't for us I'd love an NRD title but not gonna happen when I don't have time to train it
-
But their names look so.... LONELY!! I'll be pretty ecstatic when Ruby gets her CD, she's working nicely these days. As opposed to getting her CCD where her work was so below average I wasn't excited over that title when I should have been being our first!

I was googling dog clubs and somehow stumbled across this (novice jumping results). See guys, those "Occasionally Clever" dogs were mere mortals at one stage, too I usually picture these two born Obedience Champions
-
I those who do both. I think I'd have a nervous breakdown . I've started doing agility with my two on top of obedience. I feel Ruby is ready, she is confident enough in obedience, especially heeling, to not be affected by working on different sides for agility and knows when she should focus on me for obedience and when she should focus on the obstacles ;) I just think she is mature enough (in Lab terms!) now to cope with learning both We're having a ball, too!
-
Hint hint RubyStar . You must be mistaken. She said "expert", so she couldn't possibly mean me I think she meant to say especially one who recently did some winning at Bunbury and also trials an Aussie.
-
I just want to dive in there and give each and every smooth pink belly a big raspberry!!! I'm getting clucky for another yellow Lab puppy
-
Ari will be great she has the right attitude! I am sure it was you I was talking to about getting dogs used to gun fire... Maybe not We could bring a bumper or something and borrow Mirawees lake and have the noise, and the water retrieves. What a shame you never got into gun dogs Mirawee! Can I be in on this too, please? I still love the idea of retrieving with Ruby... someday, maybe...

I think gettng an obidience trophy for a $10 membership is a pretty good deal! Mirawee that is something that posibly ST and definetly me will be up for. Is it too late to join and be in the running?
-
If you were you would so win the trophy for obidience dog of the year, if I remember right last year no dog had results submitted. (ST is that right?) Oooh now that sounds intriguing! But it also doesn't sound like something to be proud of winning when you're the only one submitting results I wish the Labrador Retriever Club of WA would offer members more than just conformation and retrieving stuff. I would join then. Would be really nice if they offered obedience trials and perhaps obedience Lab of the year or something. I think clubs like the Rotty club offer this. I am a member of 2 obedience/agility clubs because they offer me things of benefit to me. Other clubs unfortunately don't seem to benefit me in the slightest! Which is a shame, I like being apart of clubs ;)
-
Well you've got some Tollers entered, there's sure to be some winning potential there No pressure huh, Ptolomy??
-
Well if you put a kind word in for me to the judge to get my last pass Then a gundog might get her next title at the gundog club trial No I'm not a member
-
First you have to decide if you want an ES or an Aussie :p The Aussie at Mason's birthday party the other day was divine ;) Aussie?? Which Aussie?? Jenna! I just love Jenna, I don't know how you would are going to be able to resist Jenna's pups RS! I'm not, so I am going to have to wear my training pants with large pockets so I can steal one (or two)
-
Jenna, of course!!! Duh to me!!
