  6. have him comfortable around a stationarey car you act like its no big deal !! then i would do what the other people said having him just in the sit position and be at a distance and then a car comes past and he doesnt react reward him so he see cars and no reaction as a reward soon when he sees a car he will ignor it at look at you expecting a treat!!??
  7. what works for me is sHAKING A PUPPY TUG in front of him coz realli the main reason i think a puppy attempt to bite or mouth is because its in prey drive so i simply re direct it onto something else thats alot less painfull and pat and be all happy like mad when it dos
  8. yeaha same thing happeded with my dog the chiken and rice is really good and add a tad of pumkin for some weried reason it has the abliity to hard up the poop when its realli wet and also to soften it when there constipated

    Sep Anxiety

there are a couple of thing you can do not make a big fuss when you leave or enter (you giving him all this love then suddenly its all gone and your praising him for the behavior) pratice going in and out ignoring him and praise when he becomes quite if all fails CAALLL A SPECILIST !!!!
  11. stright up if you dont feel comfortable then dont go with the breeder they should also be offering you a contract stating that you arnt to breed from them which then means that there no real point selling the bitch for a higher price!

  13. hey everyone ive just got a 11week old GSD and he doesnt seem to like the game of fetch he has a good drive in actually chasing the object in motion but when he gets to it all he does is sniff and mouth it doesnt carry it at all and in the rare instances that he acctually carries it he runs of some where and seems to attempt to keep it away (i dont encourage that behaviour by chasing him or anything ) can anyone point me in the right direction or provide me with tips coz i would honestly love to play fetch with him thanks for any response in advances
  14. yeaha thats a good point Ell&diese ill pay that its just that i find when they meeting for the first time one usually is more dominant than the other and to tell you the truth its usually the older dog then the puppy and i dont want to frighten the poor thing the first time round as there very impressionable at such a young age i dont want him to be dog aggressive?? when there more comfortable then i would then acctually allow them to interact with each other and even then under my hawk like supervision
  15. i wanted to do the exact same thing you wanted to do i though that it would be awesome to have 2 puppies to keep each other company but the more research that i actually did i found that the become doggie! meaning they will get attched with each other and be therefore harder to train, less affectionate as it finds the other puppy more exciting, 1) What age is good to bring a new puppy into the home? We would like to do it when our girl is around 6 months or so. usally around 12 to 18 months when the first puppy has matured 2) What is the best way to introduce the two? slowly have a barrier at first so they can see and smell each other first, also make them meet in a neutral environment so one doesn't become to territorial , and have yourself handling your first dog so they dont become jelous (yeaha i didnt know they did either)
  16. im by no means and expert im actually new to the forum but my 2cent for what its worth is that a toy like the wubber that makes a sound and has alot of movement is excellent for PREY drive building e.g. once i squeeze it my dogs ears are up and the moment the tail starts flapping about that it JET smashes it !!
