What’s the purpose of smaller dog breeds being treated differently for breeding than larger dog breeds? It’s not like the little ones mate with large dogs. What’s the difference? They need to cut out puppy farming but leave the papered experienced dog breeders alone, other than to make sure they aren’t becoming puppy farms etc.

Litter size is the difference. You want to pick the best to breed on with. Easier to find one in a litter of 8 - 10 then in a litter of 1-3.

I have always understood glaucoma to be extremely painful and, via google, this is what I turned up for humans (because someone told me his parents had glaucoma without experiencing pain or discomfort):

I've had 2 kidney stones, both with very minor symptoms. The specialist told me that I won the award for the biggest stone that year with my second one. And we all know having a kidney stone is supposed to be akin to giving birth.

  3. My parents had a peke who had an eye removed because of a rose bush. No prosthetic. I used to nurse a woman with a prosthetic eye and yes needed daily maintenance. I don't know about dogs but hers was removed every night and replaced every morning. I wouldn't bother with a prosthetic.

  4. we have tried a drug that is off label, so far off label it might have come from the moon. Just dribbled over the problem area and it has made a big difference in only 3 treatments. I was put onto this drugs use by a lady from overseas who has an Iggy plagued by the same things and even one in the same area.

I am not prepared to name it publicly and will not share with everyone who asks privately. I'm just glad my vet trusts me.

  5. Great discussion with the vet, of biggest concern is that it  has already grown back. So a plan of management and when we can't stop the bleeding well...............................arrangements have been made.

Warrior was quite shaky in the back legs, of course he sleeps a lot at home, so I hadn't really noticed. He can still get on my bed which is most important to us both.

  6. Surgery went well, removed 3 of the things. But one has come back. First noticed it Sunday evening. Going to the vet this afternoon. Has already leaked a bit of serous fluid. I can cope with that but not with a bleed that won't stop. I have a list of questions to ask. Warrior is otherwise fine for an older dog.

    Gold morning

Why aren’t there photos advertised on some advertisements? And why isn’t the price advertised? How do you expect somebody to make an initial  personal judgement. All dogs need mention whether they can be transported. We don’t all live in Queensland !

Communication is a 2 way street. If you see something you like then make an enquiry

  8. I took all my pups out and about but in the car. We'd park at the supermarket and watch all the people or up the main street. Cause I showed my dogs right from the start ( 3 months) they met a lot of people and a few dogs. I was very selective of who my pups met, dog wise, not because of possible disease but more the temperament.

  9. when he does use a pad leave it under a clean one, the smell should help him go there again. Also when you think it's time for him to go put him on the pad and use a word like toilet or wee etc. 3 month is very young and it will be a while before he is toilet trained, you need to help him get the idea.
