There's a regular at a pub I go to who brings in his guide dog all the time. The handler is rather cheeky and flirtatious with other patrons and staff too. It cracked me up when he said one night "Me? Oh I'm closely supervised, I can't be toooo cheeky, then again, lucky me old mate can't talk!" and nodded at his guide dog.

I locked Timmy in the shower once, found him 20 minutes later happily on his back legs pawing my loofa sponge like a punching bag and licking soap off the walls ... "Oh you're back, why I was just getting started ... " ... -
Hello again, just asking where you are located? Cheers, LDR

OH is doing this with Timmy ... strange sight (6'4 / 110kg man with 4kg mini foxie in his arms going "arooooooooo, aaaroooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" ). -
Timmy sleeps in the bed under the covers with us. And as soon as the alarm goes off or he hears one of us waking up he wriggles out from under the covers to greet us as though we've been apart a month! :D Kisses, excited body wagging, ears back etc. If I want to sleep more I just say "Shhh Timmy back to bed" and he settles into a sit right next to my face and *stares* at me until I finally get up to walk him. :D

I disagree .... you need to meet Harry the Irish Terrier at our local dog park, he practically demands a red carpet, entourage and adoring paparazzi ...... that face, the swagger, the 'tude!

Does Your Oh Allow Your Dog/s To Sleep On The Bed?

Timmy is tiny, so I guess I'm influenced by his size, plus to be blunt he's cleaner then my OH! :D And with the cooler weather I was just saying to OH how it's like having a wheat bag that doesn't get cold! -

Oh but we do get dumped for his crate (which stays in the spare room) when we talk in bed - apparently Lord Muck needs his beauty sleep! :D -

Timmy was to be outdoors when we weren't home and sleep in his crate in the loungeroom .... we lasted about three days on both rules. -
When Timmy had his desex stitch (yes single stitch, his manliness was *that* tiny ) it didn't bother him at all, they just quickly nicked it and out it came. Having had stitches removed myself as well, from fingertip, so lots of nerves I can vouch it didn't hurt me. Nostrils ... not sure, but sure it'd be ok.

I so am too .... But I've learnt loads so that has to be a good thing right?

We are really lucky, we actually have people competing to take Timmy when we are away! My folks are ridiculous and even have a special set of pjs, lead, water dish etc just for his overnight play dates! And our close friend always jumps in to ask if she can stay overnight when we're away to be with her "boyfriend" Timmy ... OH's parents mollycoddle him with constant affection to the point of exhaustion and feed him from their plates, our elderly neighbours are constantly chatting to him over the fence and offering to walk him ... I could go on. Hence we don't need to kennel, I'm sure there are great places out there, but it's just something that would churn my stomach doing. I really hope Fred and Jessie settle back into home quickly. efs

Same! We moved into a house almost a year ago (previously in an apartment that kept a very even temperature). And during summer Timmy ditched us for the couch! Now it's cooling down again he's back like velcro do! In the very set temp of the apartment he was an everynight fixture.

We have a set ... Actually we have two sets, should Lord Muck choose to nap in the spare room that overlooks the backyard. I'm too embarassed to disclose his other "items" .... Small Dog Booster Car seat to see out the window anyone?

I didn't even see the second dog!
