  1. Oh they do love to snooooooooooooze ...
  2. Pictures please ......................
  3. 6'4, 110kg ... "I don't think we should get a dog LDR, I'll get too attached." ..... First night at home .... AND! He still sleeps just like that and OH will whisper loudly "LDR can you grab me a beer? I can't move the lil fella, he's fast asleep!".
  4. That's odd ... sounds like they'd have had an issue even if he barked once, waaaaaaiting for the next bark! My neighbours are the complete opposite. When we moved here from an apartment I explained a stern "quiet Timmy" would stop him yapping and to feel free to yell it over the fence .... Well turns out Timmy rarely barks, thank goodness, and when I asked my elderly neighbour he jovially said "oh the little nipper goes off at the odd bird here or there, I think it's a wonderful sound! Such spunk!".
  5. Well were both eating breakie so I knoooooow OH didn't put them on Timmy, and OH did look shocked ... Maybe Timmy is doing more then just staring at me adoringly when I potter about getting ready of a morning ... Maybe he's taking mental notes ... : ;)
  6. We are so at opposite ends of the spectrum, my boy stands 15cm at the withers! I know very little of large breeds but I believe feeding / growth rates have to be closely watched to protect their joints? I'm sure another DOLer will know more. She is super pretty.
  7. She enormous already! My boy is 4.2kg fully grown though! She (and Akasha) are gorgeous!
  8. Smarter than the average dog? Or a cross-dresser? I have caught him playing with my make up brushes last week ............
  9. Classic stories Mita! I can understand the attraction to my knickers, I just cannot understand how he got them on?? ;)
  10. I saw that episode of Myth Busters! I can only imagine how the poor owners felt - it would have been a heart stopping moment.
  11. SMH Article Lucky Spaniel!! ;)
  12. Theft is one thing ... but HOW did he get them ON? ;)
  13. We like to caption this with a tough, Mexican accent - "Yeah I did it, what of it biatchy mo fos?". The toy was literally five minutes old ..... RIP toy.
  14. I forgot about that! In my defence, the other item is kept in a basket type drawer along with pantyhose and proper lingerie, not my daggy cotton tails! We *think* he stole them from the laundry.
  15. Now it's been a while since Timmy pinched anything (knickers and socks were a favourite). So imagine OH's surprise when he came out mid breakfast *wearing* these .... I've no clue where he got them from, but I know that they aren't his (hmmm, size 14 cottontail boy leg cut - I think they're mine!). Look closely ... how did he get them on???
  16. We're onto our second rental with Timmy (our fourth in 10 years). Our property manager is LOVELY so when we decided to get a dog she pushed the owner to say yes stating that we were reliable / clean / quiet etc (ie better to have us and a little dog then to have a new unknown bunch of tenants). We got really over living in an apartment and when Timmy was 18 months I approached our property manager who found us a perfect dog friendly place with a yard, we love it here! She is excellent and I must say having her (and her agency) on good terms has made me comfortable that we'll be able move again if needed to another dog friendly place. So my tip is keep your property manager on side! Itr helps she enjoys getting regular email updates of Timmy too!
  17. One dog, inner burbs - the plan was to add a second but it's very nice with one and Timmy seems very happy and settled. We like having one to devote our time to.
  18. My 4.2kg mini foxie eats BARF / chicken necks / raw eggs and *quality* sardines in *olive* oil. I give him a tin spaced out over a week or so every time I remember (so he's probably having sardines every 5th or so day?). The rest of his food is a third of a BARF pattie for breakie, a chook neck for tea and then occassionally a meal of sardines or eggs. He literally glows with health!
  19. It might be a little dog thing..mine are both littlies (pom and maltese)...perhaps they find the sea overwhelming? I used to think that but it is ALL water, ponds, lakes, waveless sea, pools, rockpools. The look of indignation as he merrily ventured along a sea wall only to land in a rock pool was priceless. He just stood there in neck deep water looking most annoyed!
  20. Timmy loves sudsy warm baths and showers .... but loathes any other type of water. I tried as a pup in still quiet water to get him into it and whilst he *can* swim he chooses not to. I'm sure he thinks - I'm WARM wash only you idiots! Do you want me shrinking even smaller??
  21. Molly is gorgeous, and very intuitive and brave too ! And Jed, always a pleasure to read about / see your doggies - just gorgeous! My dog stands 15cm at the withers and is a bit of a sook, so no protection for moi ;) But he does bark to alert us of people at the door / yard so at least I have a warning! efs
  22. I'd have been a wreck! Honestly, it's great of you to post as it certainly reminds us to be vigilent.
  23. Thank you so much for posting this. I hope you've calmed down a little.
