Yeah I spoke to SR about membership + lights, also asked permission if they are doing Rally ect. I should be in bed too, damn full time work! :p But it let me do my clean run order. I got a duck thingy, 2010 AKC nationals DVD, 2 whistles for retrieving training and that book about training puppies for agility even though I don't have a pup and don't plan on getting one anytime soon, I just knew I would be mad with myself if I wanted it later andit wasn't free postage.

Not yet/maybe. I think they are doing some Rally stuff after 8pm on Mondays, but I think it will be to late for me to drive home if I start training at 8pm so I was just going to do some stuff by myself and anyone else who wants to join in starting at around 7pm on the bottom oval.

I am printing out the Rally signs and it has used almost the whole lot of the coloured ink! ;) Just a warning to anyone that feels like printing 50 A4 Rally signs it would probably work out cheaper to get it done at a professional printers. I still have another 7 signs to print!

I'm intrigued about these secret Monday plans It's not really that secret, I just don't want to commit someone until I get confirmation from them. Oh know you're going to miss your baby but it sounds like a great opportunity for him . Are you still going to the Adelaide Royal yourself? Did you go to agility training Monday night? I feel bad because I keep saying I'm going but Banjo's had sore paws from allergies and he was limping Monday. He's fine with the gentler obedience though so will definitely go to the Rally classes. I am gonna miss him so much! Yeah I am still going over to handle him at the show/ watch some obidience/ enjoying Adelaide (the miniscule part of it I will see ) I don't really do agility on Mondays with Toby because of him ever going to be learning contact equipment makes it hard to get much out of training. On Thursdays they usually have jumping runs up so I train then. Plus I have some plans for Monday nights I am not ready to reveal yet... just that I might have roped another DOLer in that may soon be joining us in the training talk thread. ;)

With Louie hopefully! (Go the gundogs ) Most people don't even know what my breed is let alone expect anything from them, unless maybe I went to a retrieveing trial and even then its unlikely.

Other Secretaries may have a different view, but from my perspective it is easier for the steward to call three times than it is for me to muck around changing the paperwork/contacting the cataloguer to change it. So don't worry about it being a matter of courtesy. I'd say the same thing with my steward hat on. Ok thanks for the heads up! I won't do anything then. :rolleyes:

I have two colour co-ordinated dogs, one is a breed and one is a mongrel . You could always get a red Lappie. :D

Yeah the acrticle is a bit wishy washy BUT it would be nice if people cheered for vertrans just like they SHOULD cheer for BIS/BIG ect. Good sporttsmanship.

Strauss is currently somewhere in the air between Frankfurt and Singapore. He arrives in Perth tomorrow arvo and then its 30 days in Quarantine. I don't usually show in baby class but happy to make an exception if somebody is sticking their hand up for it. Definately I am so excited for you! The anticipation/nerves of getting a dog from interstate is so huge I can't imagine what it's like for getting a dog fom overseas! Care to share anymore pics of the little orange bundle

Definitely not after. They will still cash your cheque. Before entries close can be a little different but it still inconveniences the Secretary especially if it's because someone has sprayed entries to 3 different clubs and then tries to cancel 2 entries once they find out where the competition is going. If the Secretary feels that you fall into that category they're not obliged to return the entry in the ACT. Don't know about other jurisdictions. However, if something serious happens I'll return the entries. An obvious example, I refunded once after closing because the dog had died. The person actually hadn't asked for a refund, she had asked that I not put his name in the catalogue as she would find it upsetting - she had other dogs entered to show. Happy to help out in that situation (and yes I knew it was true, and not just a line). In short, I personally wouldn't ask. If I enter and don't go and am out by 21 bucks I can live with it. The reason isn't petty at all, my dog will be out of the state unexpectedly so I was thinking to call and let the secritries know so they can take his name out the catalouge and/or scratch him. I was just wondering if secretaries still cashed the cheques. My dog is first up in group and I don't know anyone else who will be showing that can go tell the judge, so to avoid wasting everyones time I tought the curtieous thing to do would be to tell the show secs.

Well I have some semi-exciting news! Lincoln is going to his breeders next week and staying there till September and will hopefully be getting some hunting training ( ) he will be shown there and then they are driving him to the Adelaide Royal. Which is much less stressful then fly in Thursday night, show Friday. I am gonna miss him though.

Also can you withdraw from a show before entries close? Or even after? AN will they still cash your cheque, whats the etiquitte here?

I don't really get what show hunter is but I know it means she has to behave well, look nice and have good gaits. Or is it you being judged? Or both? Do you know what time the class is on? Unless its first thing in the morning it's not likely to clash with Chessies. Also welcome Vader's mum!

The only one of my horses entered this year is on the Wednesday I can't believe I only have one horse in Although will be back on the Friday to show a friend's horse Ohh I will have to try come watch. Which class?
