  1. Sure for BYBers there is probably.
  2. Yes I am down to one clicker ;) and will be doing an order soon (when I have money) from Dogwise for more. Ptolomy since I don't know if you saw in the WA thread Congratulations on your handsome cover boy!
  3. My cousins apparently own a mini CKCS crossed with a CKCSxCocker spaniel. The thing only just weighs a kilo at 4 months, I am thinking that its got Chi somewhere. ;)
  4. I will probably be early tonight because I am getting there off Google maps. ;)
  5. I will feel well enough to run them... just might sleep in between runs Last night I was actually more concerned with having to drive home rather than the actual training Although I was in bed before I would have left for home ;) Actually, scrap that... what would you do if I said I wasn't well enough and you had to run Jenna yourself? Want me to bring a swag to nationals Mirawee?
  6. Heading down for around 3, you don't have to come down , was planning on saving a spot for your cabana anyway, already have the tarp and pegs in the car. VCBR you don't have to drive all that way either as I have your cabana and will set it up and grab everyones numbers and stuff. Hope your feeling better today Mirrawee. Are you sure? I am heading down that way for dinner so it's not realy 'driving all the way'. Yep will be fine. Dinner's not till 7, so I'm sure we all have lots to do before then. Are you staying over tonight? No I won't be staying over because my mum is scared she will get lost delivering the dogs and I don't want to sepearet the three of them. ;) What is everyone wearing tonight, like is it casual (jeans) or do I have to wear a dress/pants? Ozjen I will get there super early tomorow to help put the Gazebos up, as I am sure Amypie will too, you will be allowed to just lay out the frames for the space right?
  7. Once I was at a dog show and I was discussing with someone what a Portys coat was like, and of course the word poodle came up, an exibitor happened to walk by at that moment turn around give us a dirty look and say "It's not a poodle"

  9. Also a Chessies hair will never curl over (thats a DQ fault) it is wavy, not curly, thats a Curly Coated Retriever which is a seperate breed and the oldest retriever breed. Also although Lincoln might look serious out in public Chessies are goofy dogs with a sense of humor and they love to have fun just as much as labs or Goldies, just they only like to have fun with people they know well.
  10. P Player ??? hehehe Yes and I am also on P Plates and that dosen't help. You need to camp on the grounds to use the Charders nerve settler. We can't camp on grounds here, unless we go bush for a show.

  12. But it doesn't do the breed (nor breeder) any justice if the dog's conformation is crap (for want of a better word ) and they parade around the show ring just to get the breed "out there". That's why I thought some breeders were careful about what register they are placed on. Eh I dunno, I'm not a show person, nor a breeder If my next puppy is show quality, I will be madly looking around for someone to take my puppy into the showring for me. Doesn't much interest me Thats true but sometimes the confirmation is good but there is just nobody looking for a dog to show. If you look at the Chessie page you will see out of the 9 pups from Lincolns litter him and 4 bitches are in the ring, he also had a brother that was show quality but went into a hunting home as there was a lack of show homes. I would offer to help out with your Aussie but because Lincoln is first up in the ring we would have clashes.
  13. It was actually made for people !!! fifi As is the alternative.. big class of Charders before your class. Ask Jed. I was going to recomend a wee dram of your fave drop before you hit the ring, but didnt want to be responsible for generation of alcohol dependant new showies !!!! And......Jed......do tell !!! fifi I must miss out on the dutch courage due to being a P player and having to have a blood alchol limit of 0.00!
  14. In rare breeds they sometimes do it in the hope they can change the owners minds and talk them into showing.
  15. I was an Associate member with just Toby but I had to upgrade when I got Lincoln (I wasn't allowed before I got him). Gosh I think people who doing showing and dog sports are toeing a very thin line.
  16. I will aim to get there at a similar time, so we have all the people we need for set up.
  17. How do I get a copy?? Become a member of Canine. You can become an Assoiciate member and if you are going to compete in Tracking you will need to become a member anyway, that way you can also enter some obedience trials too. She won't need to become an Associate member, Mason I believe is registered on the Limited Register so she can still become a full member, that's my understanding anyway Or are us LR owners classed as Associate members? I thought it was only those with Associate dogs that are Associate members? Ruby is LR and Millie is Associate, but I always thought I had full membership?? Gosh OzJen, now you've got me confused! Additionally, I always thought you could subscribe to the Canine News without being a member, but I'm not completely sure so MM, check out www.dogswest.com to find out more info on subscribing I thought if you were just doing dog sports its Associate, if you want to show or breed its a full membership.
  18. Me three But not for agility (yet ) I still haven't decided if Toby will be entering agility trials or not, but my system is enter everything that work isn't going to clash with and showing comes before agility.
  19. I get so excited when it arrives! (Such a dork!)
  20. 5 obidience trials in the metro area. Also for showies we have quite a few shows with interstate judges and one with international judges!
  21. Bedazzled and Ptolomy just got my Canine News to find two very handsome cover dogs! (Also OMG there are SOOOOOO many agility trials!)
  22. I am excited thinking about the atmosphere bt i I thought about Toby's runs I would be nervous!
  23. Well they certaintly weren't gun dogs.
  24. I heard a rumor that Ptolomy may be doing a round 2. Not sure how soon it is. If not we can always do a WA only order just because it will be easier to control payments and distribute them.
