  2. And some of them are finding out that there's more to being competitive than owning a winning breed. Oh for sure! I see plenty of BCs blasting around the course minus handler You have to be a good trainer and a good handler to handle a very fast driven dog. Not to mention fast and fit! I am so glad Toby is a bit of a slowpoke!
  3. There were a few whippets at agility nationals that must have pretty awesome recalls since they were off leash doing agility.
  4. Jumping 500, I consider them large! I think Brittanies are a med-large size breed. My personal fav of the coated gundogs :D Though if you were thinking of going that size, you would probably be considering the top agility breeds like BCs and Kelpies as well as you will be competing against them. Even some 'small dog people' are finding it hard/impossible to resist the idea of getting a BC if they are competitive type people I have a 500 kelpie x (probably stafford) I know that against BC's I will be doing this for fun.
  5. Smooth Collie? They are a little bigger but have an easy to care fo coat and 'collie intelligence'.
  6. Thanks RS. Are you doing Midland Obidience Trial? If so I will come and watch because its nice and close to home. When is that one Valley, I would also like to watch. Saturday June 5th, it has an AM and PM trial. :D
  7. Make sure you talk to the owners before you let your pup greet thier dogs and tell them what she is likely to do. I have an old matron here who would have a good growl and maybe even a snap at a rude puppy, so expect that to happen at some point if your pup persists with the behaviour. Probably best not to let her play with dogs that are submissive and just let her carry on.
  8. I'll be there Monday with Banjo my black Stafford . valleyCBR and myself both go Thursdays to . Now that I know Toby can almost run an entire jumping course clear (but run around the last two jumps ) I think I will come on some Mondays and join the advanced class.
  9. A Scottish Terrier got first place in the 200 height class at nationals. I would choose a breed you like, otherwise if the dog is a sport failure you might resent it. (Hence why I am going to attempt agility with a Chesapeake one day )
  10. Thanks RS. Are you doing Midland Obidience Trial? If so I will come and watch because its nice and close to home.
  11. If you won does it still count as a win? Not that I think I will get three passes anytime soon or win! Lol I am such a newb.
  12. Quick question. If I enter my trials until the end of August now and I get 3 passes in JD by the end of July (hypothetically ) what happens to my entries in August, do I call and change to exellent or do I have to run in Novice as NFC?
  13. Have you got a old bitch that will give her a telling off available? Or would this not work? I have found this worked with Toby.
  14. Which puppy schools are you at?
  15. Today I recalled Lincoln off chasing roos! No luck with Toby.
  16. As a student I have worked with human bodies that have been donated. I must say it is done very respectfully and everyone (staff/students) appreciates the gift that is helping educate the future. The most important thing would be to find out if/what they want to retain (e.g skeleton) and what will be returned cremated.
  17. July is their next intake and that might already be full. I'm starting beginners agility at Eden Hill tonight, already do obedience there, should be fun . Tiggy Eden Hill classes are cancelled tonight because all out pups are tired. But on Thursday after Obidience I am going back to basics with Toby so you are more then welcome to join us.
  18. The whole lot reads to me like you should do some more research and re think the way it is formatted. It seems like a cut and paste job and I would run it through a spell checker.
  19. More of the lovely Jenna: And "Crazy Eyes " Kyzer
  20. Here was the biggest dog at nationals : And one of Jenna!
  21. I train with Perth for Agility too they train Ashfield Reserve, its on Friday evenings. The class is mostly on leash but your dog will be offleash when it has to do exercises, which are usually one at a time and food is allowed.
