Thats possible to arrange.

People would know it was rigged if Toby did well because he never has. Kyzer might though
-
No because he was so tired from the DOL meet this morning he was only able to muster up a slow canter . The older boys found some horses to hang out with and we had to go collect them so the horseys could continue thier ride.

Newfoundlands - Protective?
RallyValley replied to Sophieandgracie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Chessies are a protective breed but not overtly or noisly just physically, they will put thier body between the threat and what they need to protect (for Chessies normally the ducks they brought in or the hunters hide, or even a person) and just stare the threat down. Protective does not mean baring teeth and growling (to me) just using thier body and eyes to send a message. -
I have a 14y bitch, almost 2 dog both desexed and now almost 6 mths dog undesexed and we haven't had any issues (yet )

Newfoundlands - Protective?
RallyValley replied to Sophieandgracie's topic in General Dog Discussion
I own Chessies which are descendents of Newfs and quite protective, so it's believable for sure. -
I did and now I am missing a finger! Where is your finger? Your dog bit it off and my dog is checking to see if you're okay You can see the very tip of it, I was patting her. But if you couldn't it is far more believable to think Lincoln ate it.

If you are there in the morning look for me and Amypie but we will both have our other dogs.

Rubystar, if you are interested in the Retrieving Club's training days, give their secretary a call for the times. It should be in the Canine News, or else phone DogsWest for the contact number. The first training day I have heard, is going to be May 8th, so as not to clash with Mothers Day on the 9th. These training days are really to answer any questions new people might have about the sport, and, to let them have a go at a retrieve as close as possible to how it may be in a trial, but without the distance. Newbies can opt for their own favourite dummy for their dog to retrieve, and also, there is the opportunity for the dog to hear gunshot, whether it be from afar or up close (your choice). The main problem we seem to encounter with novice dogs/handlers to the sport is lack of obedience, which is really a necessity, as the excitement of the whole retrieving thing, takes hold of youngsters and if you haven't got that obedience instilled into your dog, then it can be a trying time. At the training day, you can keep your dog on a lead if required, and there will be more experienced people to help and advise. I have given ValleyCBR a DVD which goes over basics in training, maybe she will loan it to you too. It might help a bit. I would like to go to the retrieving day, my young dog is a bit iffy in his obedience, he has his good days and bad, some days he is brilliant off-lead, other days he is shocking! The secretary will be emailing me to confirm details so I will post when I have them I thought I had a Chesapeake with reliable recall but today he saw a roo for the first time and the recall went away

On the first disc of the Moe Strenfel dvd you lent me she does the steady feet game, I think she calls it the zen game. She was using it for start line stays. Ok, I have the first disc on my ipod, so I will have to watch it. Thanks
-
They look really good! I especially love the ones of Lincoln looking all focused, Sorrell (sp?) the weim and the one of Trixie and Lincoln!
-
Does anyone have a link to this steady feet game? I would be interested in seeing if I can apply it to Lincoln's show stack.
-
Happy Birthday Banjo! You look adorable Now I feel like I should mention so people don't think I neglect her so Happy 14th Birthday Lilly!

Lincoln has never remembered having dew claws so he dosen't miss them, Lilly my old girl ripped one of hers out jumping out a hydrobath when she was 5 or 6. Toby has been doing agility for 10 months with his dew claws which are particulalrly bad and don't tough the ground at all and has not had any accidents yet.

I think I will be trying to swap shifts so that I can go to the day, I didn't see that you needed to RSVP anywhere. I don't care where we go Wednesday, but after a day of setting up agility equipment I will be starving.

I haven't found anyone leaving negative comments on RedBubble as yet. It's not like many of the Flickr groups where people have to comment on so many photos in order to post their own. People usually only comment to let the artist know they like their work or they just don't say anything, unless feedback is asked for in a group or forum. You can also choose to keep any of your photos private if you don't want the public to see them. Just go into "My Art" then click on "Edit" next to the photo you don't want shown and if you scroll to the bottom of the page the "Options" section has a box you can tick called "Hide this work from the public". You'll still be able to see it and create a calendar from it when you're ready. You'll also be able to do the same thing and hide the calendar from the public if you want. Flickr is the general internet and most people on there probably don't understand copyright regulations. You can put a copyright notice on RedBubble in the "Description" section of each photo or you can put one on the "Tell us about yourself..." section under "My Account" then "Edit Your Profile". You can choose whether your copyright notice does not permit anyone to copy, edit etc.. your work or whether you have a clause that allows them to copy it for personal use only. As far as I know the site showing your photo has done the right thing by acknowledging the source but you can still contact them and ask them to take it down, but I'd definitely be adding a copyright notice to your work if you do that. If I've got any of that wrong I'm happy to be corrected. Thanks for the advice JS! I think that the likelihood of my photo being violated is low (I was shocked to even see it! ) so I don't want to seem like I am trying to bignote my mediocre photographs by putting a copyright notice on them.
