  1. If not Lincoln's new crate is going to be huge so you could always share! I can climb in Ruby's soft crate with both of the girls in there with me ;) Lol I think Lincoln's new crate is the same size, but I was scared of buying a crate and him outgrowing it, so if it stays too big Toby is tiny so they can bunk togther (yes Lincoln has now grown so much I consider my 500 dog tiny ) I will have to bring down some special things too! Do you know if it's too late to order a nationals jacket and polo?

  3. Lincoln is just growing up too fast! I can bring rope and tarpaulins and we can make shaded areas between the cabanas and the cars if they are right next to each other.
  4. I don't have a cabana but won't bring Lincoln uness his new crate arrives because he is fast outgrowing the old one. Or if he is really well behaved this Saturday. It will be good to see Sophie and Cassie but Toby is in love with them so he might get a bit distracted. I have a spare chair I can bring and a few big tarpualins. If my new crate arrives I will also have a spare crate in case anyone needs one.
  5. Yes. I'm a glutton for punishment. I'm only stewarding the arvo this Sat but going down earlier to help out with the grub for judges and stewards Lol if they are running late (which they will be) I will have to pull ot of the PM trial because I start work at 5pm.
  6. Southern River Double Header Agility! And Toby's second trial!!
  7. RS your stewarding at Sothern River and Nationals?
  8. Enough of that. Who else is REALLY nervous for Sat? Or now you have Q's and sashes are you all confident Amypie?
  9. You can use whatever word you like. I use 'lets go" I need to start working on he right hand side heel as well if we are going to ever do agility, will probably only be next year but might as well train him to heel both sides while we are at it. His heeling has come along so much in the last 3 weeks I am very happy. I'm pretty sure that for competition your commands need to be one word only. If you're planning on competing you may want to rethink this command. Wish I had known that earlier........... ;) now I have to think up a new word. How about "Let's"
  10. Lots of formal heeling. Ok, well they once tried to make me do that at an agility class (that I no longer go to) Needless to say I pulled Toby right out and went and did some "fun" stuff. Although at an obidience class how much is too much? I already know in my mind no matter what the class says Lincoln will only be doing tiny periods of training interspersed with pats/affection/play (if I can find a way to play with him that does not involve tug or squeaky toys).
  11. RS I don't think they are money hungry, I think they are annoying when they get all uppity about the amount of dogs people can have as a whole rather then taking it case by case and taking things into account like how we do sports with our dogs, how they are well behaved, most of us have inside dogs, a lot of us train most evenings so our dogs are way too pooped to be a nuisence ect. I think most DOLers could responsibly manage 3 or 4 dogs no problem.
  12. Agility is so much easier, you are going so quickly half the commnds end up being over and the other half tunnel. :D

  14. Ahem... I work for a Council!!!! and yes Swan has a much better reputation than Mundaring (and No I dont work 4 either of them) RS if they really were money hungry they would let us have lots of dogs and have to pay lots of regos
  15. Poor Lilly Just remember this is an open forum guys and you don't know who is reading it so don't be too open with comments on getting around the dog rules, could land you in hot water. Lilly is going on 14, so by the time we leave the property it's not unlikely that it will really happen. Plus I remember reading another wa doler got a third dog licience on accont one of thier dogs was quite old.
  16. Watching now, how cute is the GSP :D
  17. I think two close togther is good but 3 close togther would mean all the dogs are old at once . Plus the next one will probably be a bitch, so that might mean puppies down the line. :D
  18. Lol Toby and Lincoln are registered under my name and Lilly under thiers so could I apply for the permit? (Without them knowing ) Nah I think I want a 5 year break from new puppies, having 2 under 2 is a bit too much right now.
  19. You can use whatever word you like. Ok cause I want to keep my retrieving cues consistent with my breeder and they use 'heel' for the right side.
  20. Quick question, in obidience do you have to ue the word heel? Or can you use a word of your own choosing?
  21. I have found it harder in some ways and easier in others with Lincoln, because I might be doing retrieveing with him he is not allowed to tug or play with squeaky toys in case he gets a hard mouth, but he is very food/praise motivated. So I can't make training a game the same way I did with Toby, I have just been using the clicker and keeping sessions short and praise/food heavy.
  22. Well done! I ordered a new crate for Lincoln and can't wait till it arrives, its going to be huge for him to start with but if he grows as big as his daddy it will be a good fit.
  23. I have given Toby today off because I have training Thursday and Friday and the trial Sat, just a romp in the paddock will be fine today.
