So does one of mine and the other is sterilised (it is nice not having to worry about if they are coming in any more!) Would it be possible to go for a walk at the same time as your housemate and they can take thier dog? It dosen't seem fair of them to leave taking care of thier dog to you. Well in answer to that.. I did that tonight, but I finished work earlier than usual today so that wont always be possible. I took him for the second trip so still had the guilts, I may try to take him first next time. I live on a rather steep street and not keen on doing the trip twice. Guess I am half venting because I feel sorry for the dog, and he wouldn't be so bad if he were trained.. but as he is at the moment he's just a disobedient yapyep who terrorises everyone and growls if you tell him off for anything, and now I have something I would rather focus my attentions on but get the guilts for doing so

If you get an adult dog instead of a pup you can get one as cuddly as you want. Just have to go around cuddle testing them. Good point Greymate.

I think you should buy a toy if you want something to cuddle because you might just be dissapointed if your dog does not turn out cuddly. If yo go for a working or gundog breed make sure you carefully research the lines, my Chesapeake is from dual lines (though almost all Chessies are) and it shows already, he is way to full on for the 'average' owner and definately NOTHING like a show retriever.

It's not our fault we kick ass Hmm I think if we do end up going to Adelaide Royal that puts a bit of pressure on now. My guess is that the other states are getting a bit sick of WA dogs going over and showing them how WA people do it Congrats Brooky for UD and Winners as well

When I went (before I got my appendix out and had car trouble ) people parked on the street and thier were a few crates around but also posts to tie dogs to. Congratulations Brookie and Bedazzled!!

Masons Mom Toby has allergies and we suspect they are contact allergies from grass because he only gets them on his tummy and feet where he is pretty hairless, and he is scratching at the moment so it must be that season.

I don't think we'll get any rally-o clubs until it's ankc recognised. I'm joining Midland again on Tuesday after a two year hiatus and maybe joining Perth to. Eden Hill Dog Fellowship will be doing Rally O classes but not until mid July. This is because me [the instructor] does not want to start classes until I have done the competitors 2 day workshop and the judges workshop in early July. I have done Rally O before but not for some years and that was AKC rules. The ANKC rules [if passed] are based on the CKC [Canadian Kennel Club] and are slightly different to what I was used to. Since it has been so long since I have been involved with Rally O, it was discussed at our club and we decided to wait until myself and the other instructors and been to the courses. I do have a registration form for anyone who is interested in attending the competitors seminar. Me and Tiggy, RS and Masons Mom are all going to the Rally Seminar! Its awsome Eden Hills will be hosting Rally classes! I am already a member of Eden Hills so maybe I won't have to join another club! Obidience at Eden Hill isn't on this week is it Myzchev? I was hoping to start attending soon with Lincoln because I am not sure I want to join Midland again and I will lose motivation if I have to drive al the way down to Southern River every week.

Nah I didn't enter states because I think I aready had Lincln entered in something on the Sat and I would have hated to qualify and then not be able to compete. I didn't get you email ST but I have been having a bit of trouble with things getting through to the inbox I use so I will have to check that out.

Over 10 pages since I last looked! Welcome Longdog! Hope everyone got throgh the storm ok! I am such a bad dog mum, last night I went to a see friend who was home alone to keep them company and watch Glee . Toby has Southern River AM/PM trial then Nationals ;) he is in Thus/Fri/Sat and I don't think he will get anything other then DQ because of my poor handling! Anyone want a Chesapeake puppy? :D He is un housebroken because he dosen't want to go outside and get his feet wet. :D He is so cute though when I set his dinner down and tell him to leave it, his pupils get all big and round and he stares at me while dops of drool come down, so cute! Then when I give him the command he just about pounces on his food! On second thought maybe he's not for sale :D . He is getting so big though, he must be at least 55cms at the shoulder already! I want to start formal obidience with him soon but don't know which club to go to. :D Anyone know which club will offer rally classes? I might join there so I can do Rally classes when they start offering them.

Today at the petshop there was Bull Arab and Rough Collie puppies. (I walked past on my way to grab dinner)

If you rescue this pup, you're directly causing the pet shop to replace him with another pup. Supply and demand. Pet stores will only stop stocking live animals when people stop buying them. That's exactly what I think .....but feel so for the pup! The number of people that were looking at it and going "go on ...get it...." and the reply "dunno...maybe....dunno if I'll be allowed to keep it" I felt so sad knowing that this pup might not go to a forever home but a "you're cute for now" home It would be sadder if the pup has something like PRA and your dog is blind by the time itis 5 or 6. It is also sad for the puppy farm bicth that will be having to push out another litter because people are buying the pups.

Just was reading in the local paper about the Kalamunda show and didn't realise how full on it will be Anyone else going and care to share past expirences?

I never started rumours about Myzchev and her dogs. Another breeder over East told me incorrect information and a friend who has Belgians cleared this up for me. I never said anything about this on DOL, never! While we're all at it .. anyone else want to have a go at me? Feel free, I'm already feeling very low so going a little more low can't hurt. I'm feeling pretty darn useless and I'm sorry for all the shit I've stirred up. I know I'm very much hated around here, so I'm going to leave Dol. Good luck to all and feel free to kick dirt at me if you ever see me in the streets. By the sounds of it, I deserve it. Enough with the sympathy seeking, own your mistake and leave it at that, then the others who are bagging you will come undone in their own time. May I add that there are some excellent Belgian Breeders (including yours BB) in the East who don't gossip. Dont throw them in the same basket as the person who caused trouble. Your Breeder is an excellent example of a good ethical breeder who is always open to communication and DOES NOT bad mouth other breeders or listen to bullshit about prospective puppy buyers. She is having a bad enough time at the moment due to the sudden death of her 'Buddy' without being implicated in a gossip ring due to poor wording such as "I never started rumours about Myzchev and her dogs. Another breeder over East told me incorrect information" For those who think BB is a fruitloop and wouldnt sell her a pup, thats bullshit. BB stayed here for over a week with little Ivy. I wont say any more than BB has publicly said about herself, that being, she has confidence and communication issues with new people as MANY 'doggy obsessed' people do. They more often than not make excellent dog owners, but perhaps not the best communicators with people. Glad its sorting itself out. We all live and learn, but some take a hell of a lot longer than others. I don't know what this whole saga is about and can't be bothered even reading about it but I can't imagine BB intentionally hurting people, I have met her and Ivy several times and can't believe such a nice person would be deliberaley malicious. Excited to see some pics of your little boy soon BB!

While I am away Zoe will introduce her to water and do some work with her and see if it is worth persisting - if it is then Zoe will definitely be training her. Just need to find somebody to do agility with her and I will have it all sorted Oh and if anybody wants to show her....... If you do the show training I don't mind handling her if I'm at a show until Lincoln moves up to minor.... but then we would have a clash as I can't handle two dogs in the group line up(not that I am very skilled )
