thank you soooooo much longclaw that information is sooooo helpful and i have a much better understanding now how cross breeds and bitzas like me look like we do i'll hand you over to me mudda human now at the time, yeah, i did think it mattered ... i'm a lil bit lost cuz his progress seems to have plateaued and i thought that if i had an idea of his 'makeup' it might give me some insight! it was a longshot :D since mid-october [one week short of 4 months] we are the same with him as we are with bella ... play time, pats [and smooches], basic training, exercise, discipline, rewards for good behaviour... this is excellent information ... thank you again i wish i'd been given that advice in the beginning because he does seem very timid and quite unsure of himself ... i've seen those blank stares before in other dogs and there's the question that nobody can answer... longclaw, i'll save it for another thread... thank you again soooooo very much

OMD! westies are gorgeous but alas ... unless there is something in my breeding that straightens my hair, then i don't see westie in my bloodline i also have mostly pink paw pads... thanks tho

k, i've read some replies to this topic *breathes* i grew up on a farm and there were always dogs, working dogs ... dogs ... and they worked their butts off and did a frikken good job of it! here's the thing ... my dad bred his best worker with another farmer's best worker irrespective of breed and he and the other farmers in the neighbourhood got damn good working dogs... my thing is, if ya wanna show, breed or just own a purbred, then go for it... BUT growing up on the farm i have a healthy respect for cross breeds and mongrels ... if trained and treated properly, and you are the right person for that 'breed', then go for it ... each to their own... personally, i'm an advocate for rescue ... i love purepred dogs but my love for them is equal to cross breeds and mongrels. dogs are dogs... its up to you to make the most of your friend ... irrespective of its heritage JMO

although cesar's methods are mostly for red zone dogs, every time i watch his show i garner from it lil bits here and there that i can apply to handling my two lil flufflies. do you have your pup enrolled in puppy school? that's an excellent start to a puppy's life with you

i was reading about leo yesterday here on the forum but i can find the thread now ... i really would like to read the rest of it if someone could help me find it it was linked in another thread and i'm a dufus when using the search facility... the offers of help in that thread are again being displayed here and that warms my heart ... leo's story is one that should remain the warning to everyone. i took a look at your website just now and the pix in the 3 photo galleries filled my heart with joy ... leo has found himself again good luck with keeping leo's story alive
