  1. The one I have is just like the one ollie1 has on ebay, the only diff is that it ends with no loop as a handle but a knot.
  2. Mine is 30m long its a rope that divers use for the floater. I attached a snap from an old lead. Advantages - lenght, bright colour, very light Dissadvantages - will cut through your skin if you are not carefull, as its made of nylon
  3. soon, very soon. A girl. I have a boy already, the one with no drive that ripped the bed and bit me on my boob
  4. Re spinning and dizzyness that is somewhat the smalles of my problems, but I had to sit down on the grass few times (or more fallen down ) Than try to hide the ball, this is when some of my injuries occured ;) I am now worried about my upcoming razor blade covered in fur.... Ill look like wyvernblade if all goes to plan I knew that, but Im still mad about the ripped apart bed
  5. Im not edidting anything. I mean what I say. I am starting the list, will you pls help me K9, you are the one that picks on them or should I say finds them distruction - distraction flesh - flash wet - vet, (its spelled wet in Polish) pray - prey only 4??? hell no, there were dozens!! signed - the clown PS - I got upset by reading the rediculous post by henrynchlo and in the rush (or is it rash ;)) I typed that.
  6. I have just came back from my walk, no training as its too dark. Left the dog outside for a while. Come outside to get him, what do I see? He has ripped his bed to timy little pieces :D ;) Now so you understand, Rex has not ripped his bed up in about 5.5-6 years, only when he was a puppy... And not only that he ripped the bed up beyond repair he ripped MY favourite bed, well his but you know what I mean. I bought it at the Dobe Specialty, it had a blue cover with doberman heads on it, and there was a matching pillow. There is only pillow left now, not matching with anything else ;) I want to f-en kill him !!! Thats what happens when you dont satisfy some needs.....
  7. oh phleeeze Half of dogs in Europe walk on prongs, they hardly have anything to do with promoting tools K9 uses.... do some research pass teh boardes of our cuntry you might find interesting stuff over there. As for the list of retailers or wholesalers of prongs Im happy to provide, good luck getting them into the country tho.
  8. ;) :D ;) that is priceless, fantastic description! I have also been covered in bruises, had clothes ripped, and teeth lodged into my forearms. One bruise from a set of fingernails - well originally it was a deep scratch that turned into a bruise went from above the waiste along the leg to well below the knee. Dont ask me how we managed that... But the worst one was when in summer, straight out of bed in the morning I got a singlet on, and no bra. Oh that hurt..... and bled..... And my dog has no prey drive Im looking forward to comparying notes as very soon I will join you in the joy of owning a razorblade covered in fur, the black and tan variety that you have
  9. Although from a personal social perspective it sounds like a great idea, I dont like to go away for a day without my dog, he is alone way more than enough - he spends 10 or more hours a day with no company, its not fair to do it to him on weekends. It sounds as you belive that they are any better than him  think twice - After all they are all related. On a serious note I wouldnt take someones dog - no matter how well I know them - and let it off in a park with heaps of other dogs, one might have a simmilar problem to Rex and the other wont take any cr*p from any dog, plus their recall is worse than Rexs. Last one Id consider although she has a very good recall and would just follow me and look me in the eyes and couldnt care about any dog is currently unavailable. None of those girls have ever been in a massive group of unknown dogs - not fair on them to put them in that situation.
  10. It looks like I will have to stick to the DOL lunches in the city with no dogs. You have a great time guys and I look forward to the photos.
  11. than there is a chance, especially if he was done when he was young. I wont say that Im coming for sure, 50 milion things might come up between now and than. including me possibly getting the puppy that weekend Sunny70 - regardless of DOL meet we have to get together.
  12. Its far from me... is Jefe an entire male? I go to Gannons Park in Peahurst, its huge and I have a good visibility of who is comming. Anyone on the horison - I call my dog and walk the other direction (unless I know the dog and owners) Large enough for my dog to have an area to run free with dogs he knows. A dog on a horison - I call my dog.
  13. Rex and Jones can go somewhere separeate for a possible play. I hope they will invite Flame too
  14. sunny70 - OMG its you? than if you are going to that meet I dont care what anyone says - Im coming!!! with Rex!!! I wonder if Rex will fall in love with his baby son and Jones with his daddy. I dont see a reason why he wouldnt, you never know, but there is a chance! I LOVE Jones!!!!!! this is Jones inside his Mum with Dad listening I DEMAND a current photo of Jones!!!
  15. :p that is what I call cooperation and understanding
  16. Jeffes owners - I have seen a leash free park before..... In fact I visit few on regular basis. How will I know how is my dog going to react to the dogs I meet?
  17. Every outing for any dog is a training session - it could be a training session to weaken that recall..... No dog should go for a nose up to anything/anyone without owners aproval. That is IMHO a definition of a responsible ownership. The reality is that hardly any dog can do that - mine included, although I strive to achieve that. Now Im confused as some say come and some say dont, I dont want to cramp anyones style.
  18. All I have asked for was - please keep your dogs away from mine unless I agree for your dog to meet mine. I got an impression that for some its too hard to do that, and suddenly I was the guilty one. If I say there is a danger here keep an eye on your dog its the same as if I said - there is a cliff over here, watch your dog so it doesnt fall. I keep my dog under control/away from others on purpose and would never consider arriving at a leash free park, uncliping the lead and letting my dog to join a free running pack of 20 dogs. My dog can not hoon around in a unknown pack of 20 dogs, especially if he knows one or two of them and there is a ball throw. It just creates posessiveness and jelousy issues, hence I wouldnt let my dog get himself in that state of mind. In return if my dog is running free with another, I ask someone not to let their dog join that pack. My dog will recall from a play so that I can put it back on lead, I just dont want a unknown dog to run and join mine, wheather on lead or off. Is it too much? If that is too much to ask than I cant come, I dont want to put mine or anyone elses dog in a difficult situation.
  19. in my case it is an over socialised dog, that was picked on by "friendly" dogs when he was a puppy, the raugh play when he was young has certainly left a dark mark on him and he developed a fear agression, without me even knowing. For him to get over it at 6.5 yo its a bit of hard work and IMO unrealistic, considering that even people with some dog knowledge consider that the best place for him to be is being locked up and not having a right to fun free. Lucky he has a nice owner that can provide him with some social life that he is happy with. Also lucky that some doggy friends are willing too cooperate, with some understanding and instruction it can be done as shown here and here
  20. have fun guys, its best if I dont come. Those that attend lure coursing - Ill see you there.
  21. no matter how friendly the dog is its not fair on any dog to have 10 dogs rushing onto it. Reliable recall can save your dogs life, why wouldnt you put extra effort into achieving it? How does anyone know that their dog will get on with any other dog??? Why would you put your dog at risk letting it torun up to any strange dog? perhaps the OP should change the title to - only extra friendly and accepting dogs invited.
  22. I own two that ollie1 made for me. One plain and about 2 years old and one new one plaited one. they are great, highly recomended signed -ollie1's leather work fan
