  3. Poor Zola! Similar thing happened to Ruby, home from the vet after vaccs as a puppy and we get out of the car, she sticks her head in a bush next to the driveway, gets stung by a bee! Blows up like a balloon, and we're straight back to the vet Reminds me that I really need to buy some antihistamines to keep in my car in case it happens again! Off topic and I will probably kick myself when you tell me, but what does BRD stand for? Spot on Mirawee, Big Red Dog aka Zola......Shes fine tonight, not even any "after effects" from the 4 grams of Vit C shoved down her throat!!!! Will endeavour to catch up with you Mirawee & also Emery!!! (who will not be hard to miss by then I imagine :D ) No doubt i will be the easiest to spot lol, the blimp with the rottis :D look forward to meeting
  4. Not sure if I should let my parents know that part I find it hard to believe coat colour makes a difference though, why is that so? Is it fact or just one of those well known rumours like when people say choc labs are crazier than the other colours? I think it's absolute nonsense in regards to the Labs as it's just a coat colour.... but maybe they are right, Millie is a loon!!! Brown nosed Ridgies definitely differ in temp to the black nosed ones....They have more of a ratbaggy nature. And arent black pugs and tri basenjis supposed to be a little more wicked!!!! :D Typical, both colours Id have if I had either a pug or senji! Zola had a bowen session today Poor girl, she hates going to the vet to begin with and having to be put up on the table on her side was almost more than she could handle :( But with a few strategically placed acupuncture needles and some bach flower drops she ended up doing quite well Only to return home and get a bloody beesting Poor girl!! Shes curled up asleep now though, darling pathetic BRD So...........who will be at the Winter Fest on the Friday night & Saturday??? Thought I might head up and say hi!! I was going to be but being 38 weeks pregnant hubby wouldn't let me enter i will be there handliong baby rottis though D:
  5. Good luck will try pop along and watch depending how the showing goes :D
  6. Good luck OSO i will be at canine showing lol. without me having to go through my cnaine guides where is the wa et being held? sat is supposed to be cold and cloudy i reckon rain would of dispersed by then if the sun here today between the showers was anything to go by
  7. That's ok as a blonde i reserve the right to not judge lucky for me rottis are only in one colour and some are clever some aren't lol or else they are too clever and play dumb hmmmmm leaves to ponder that the rotti is smarter than she is hmmmm
  8. I am skipping show training for the third week in a row :S first week i was ill and it was raining, last week i had no fuel and couldn't be bothered transferring funds aroudn to go get some and this week its so cold and hubby is away so that means having kids out in cold, so instead i am going to mums for roast chicken dinner :D here is a pic of squiddy today before she laid infornt of fire and hasn't moved since
  9. is lovely outside at the moment CAN I BRAG?????? chance's daddy just got his grand ch title witha reserve in gorup in townsville one proud pup owner here i have met this dog too and he desreves it Big congrats to his owner cheryl
  10. I agree kids shouldn't be walking a dog unless in complete control or parent around supervising. i often take my three dogs (rottis) to the reserve with my two children (4 and 3) and we walk around the paths often where other dogs are. all 3 of mine are on lead but normally both children are walking a dog each. the dogs are voice controlled and i command them and the listen and i am beside them anyway and if need be can grab the lead if need be too. We try and stay away from other dogs though when there. i have had dogs run up to us no owner in site and off lead (it is onlead down there) and i grab all three dogs but if something was to start i would be bloody irate as my dogs are under control as are my kids
  11. Well done ptolomy and bedazzled think i read you got news well i just enjoyed a warm chocolate muffin that my two littlies cooked. now a bad job either :D
  12. Yee Har - can you hear the Champaign Corks popping in WA??? The boys have obviously been busy chatting about it/texting and they both came out and put in terrific rounds. I am a happy little vegemite. 2 down 1 to go...... yay
  13. Maybe she is at the start of a winning streak? I so know what you mean about not getting george lol. And OMG how the heck did boots manage that? hope he pulls through and you get more info soon
  14. Typical and if you are at george every day is a busy day just more so when you are there/ or i am LOL
  15. Hahaha my cat goes bonkers for the dog ones too! She will sneak out to where I go to dish the dogs food and take food from their bowls when I turn my back. I sometimes give her a few pieces to eat. I swear the sample bag was 1kg! hahahaha mine see hte bag and claw at it to get biscuits out :D
  16. why must getting a free dog be bad, there is no certainty that is wont be vacc and microchipped. I was in a friend's pet shop about year ago when a couple brought in two gsd x pups. one had a hernia and friend wouldn't take it. owner was like well i aint taking it home. i took it for free. it had its first vaccination. my friend got it microchipped by the pet shop vet. i then got it vet checked and rehomed it for free to a lovely family. i did advertise him for $200 though so as not to get every tom dick and harry call up, but a free dog doesn't always mean unvaccinated, unmicrochipped and unehalthy.
  17. Yeah I just sent her a text and will call if she doesn't reply this weekend. I agree, Wendy is very good to deal with Also about the BH cat, I recommend it. My feline has had the [huge] sample bag for over a week and wow, the sheen in her coat is amazing! And she's still on 50/50 as I'm slowly switching her over. Thanks for the reccomendation, i might ask wendy for a sample bag when i see her next,. my cats love the dog biscuits
  18. Hope Booty feels better soon EI give wendy a call she is so easy to deal with she is great :D i might have to give the cat food a go when i have money lol totally broke and i am gonna have to order a bag of dog food in the next two weeks so gotta save for that first
  19. EI i don't feed the cat food but where do you live if you are my way i can grab the bags for you and drop them off when i go to canine
  20. Hi chelsea welcome and quinn is gorgeous. lisa with the rottis
  21. Not sure if we have many in Perth but when i got my pup we went to Bunbury, we sat at a cafe outside the local shopping centre as they have an outside bit and the waiter even brought us a bowl of water for him, he was tethered to our chairs next to the wall and he gots lots of cuddles from people. now that he is 65 kgs not sure i'd get the same reaction though. but if you are outside i can't see a problem but that;s just me :D
