  1. I'd really like to come, just have to wait on the finances. Though I will be coming without dog so will be cheaper. Great price though for what are getting
  2. Oh good grief Silly boy. I hope his parents/caregivers remove the dog from him. If it were up to me I'd not let him near the dog (or any other animal) unsupervised.
  3. well i think not giving back $1500 would be very unfair. and as people have said above, fine I could always take the dog then and re-sell on the trading post.... :mad
  4. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting for Coffee/Tea somewhere on either the weekend of the 25/26th of June or the 2nd/3rd July. I was thinking some where central ie Brisbane CBD or Southbank, or easily accessible by public transport ( for those of us without private transport). If anyone has any suggestions of places to meet, and a time that would suit then please go ahead and make a suggestion . Around 10am--3pm time frame would be best for me
  5. Lol Brennan's nickname is Tempe, Temperance or Bones-gal . When I try and be ''cross'' with her she gets Brennan Temperance
  6. Brennan's name came from the fact that I am an obsessive fan of the Bones TV series. I wanted a name for a female GSD that would suit the breed. I was watching one of my Bones dvds one day when I thought about how the character of Brennan is ''Beautiful, independent, intelligent, faithful to her friends, tough but vulnerable, funny, and strong''. I realised these are all words I'd use to describe a German Shepherd, and so that's how my girl became Brennan. The name suits her too :D. When I am in a position to get my male GSD he will be called Booth (to complete the pair). However unlike their TV counterparts there shall be no 'romancing' ;) .
  7. I use old sheets, some polar fleece blankets in my dogs crate. Some Op Shops are great too for finding cheap blankets which you can wash ant then put down for the dog.
  8. Signed last night-- absolutely disgusting
  9. Another blog I enjoy (well when she updates it) is one by a friend in NZ.She's a great girl, her dogs are adorable and full of character. She does Agility, Flygility and tricks with her dogs. http://kiwimutts.blogspot.com/
  10. Awesome luck Cairo- I was just reading Honey's blog yesterday- I think the lady is called Hsin-yi ?. I have heard from some one who met her in Brisbane that she is lovely. I also enjoy reading about Jasmine the Havanese on her blog. Cj ( Jasmine's owner is a FB friend) and I really enjoy her video's on You Tube. http://myfavoritepup.blogspot.com/
  11. I just switched my girl ( German Shepherd) to Comfortis and Heartgard and could not be happier. She was suffering from Fleas on Advocate, but now they have all disappeared and she is much happier
  12. Aww poor dog I once saw a guy walking his Poodle through the mall. He even stopped to have a chat to a few people. I have no idea why he was allowed to have his dog inside the mall-- it was not a service dog of any sort ( well if it was it had no identification to say it was).
  13. When I lived alone or had the place to myself overnight or for a few nights (prior to a dog) I would always leave the lounge room TV on and a lamp in the hope any possible intruders would think I am a night owl (which I am).
  14. Brennan gets a bit stressed during the storms so I play with her Nina Ottosson and we find some games to play, a chew to eat or she gets a massage. My Mum's Maltese x is one of those dogs who hovers around you and gets under your feet during storms. She will literally follow you everywhere- even into the shower. If the storm happens while you are sleeping she will wake you up by standing by your face panting heavily . I've given Mum some ideas of things to try in future storms to try and help Cleo
  15. I can't even bear to look at the pet selling pet store in my local mall. If I have to pass it I hurry past it. Normally it's easy to pass without seeing the poor animals. There is generally a small crowd of people looking at the ''Cute little puppies and kitties''. Last time I did see the animals in there they had 2 Siberian Husky pups in the small window cage
  16. Is the first one an Akita? it's so cute
  17. Great photo's I love Weim's they are such lovely looking dogs
  18. RIP King Tip Such a tragic loss of life Thanks for all you did Teebs
  19. Lovely, thoughtful idea I didn't give my breeder anything other than money when I picked up Brennan. However the breeder likes for her pups owners to return around the dogs First birthday so she can have a look. When I took Brennan I took her a photo of Brennan at One years old and I also took my photo album and let her look through at her growing up. She was really surprised that she got to keep the photo of Brennan. However I am eternally grateful to her because with out her work ( and boy is she one hard-working woman) and of course the Sire and Dam then I would not have my beautiful girl
  20. I know some one who lost their Cavalier to it
  21. Diego, Drake, Dashiel, Dante, Deacon, Dash, Duke, Dale
  22. I like the trail near my place at the end of ''The Avenues'' in Kedron. There is a dog park around, and the brook. It's a huge area so plenty of room for families, cyclists, joggers, walkers etc. Plenty of space to walk the dogs too.
