  2. WOWDitto to all Sols questions as well
  3. LOL typical mainlander answer. If every single National for every single breed was held in Tasmania the tables would be turned and it would be you who would be bitching about it ;) Well I live here and I agree with Sway.Yes we fly dogs in and out and we go by boat to show and to mate bitches. If you want to use the best dogs in the country you have no choice. I will say it again, it can be done it takes planning and the rule is the rule. Its quite simple really if you do not like the 1000k rule instead of whinging in here you and Eric could put a motion in writing to the TCA and then drum up a support base to go to the TCA AGM to get it put forward to the ANKC National Meeting. I will say it again. If you do not like the rules as they are instead of being in here use the energy to get a motion to the TCA and get it listed put forward at the ANKC Conference to be changed or exemption or whatever it is you want. Rally the support and get them to attend the TCA AGM or letters or whatever it takes. If you have the support then it should get through no problems at all. As for the clubs and not telling exhibitors thats another thing you should perhaps take up with TCA. Clubs cannot notify exhibitors of things they do not know about. This really is now quite a joke :D

  7. Congrats on all the babies. Lovely pics
  8. We were flying a bitch from Launceston last week and we did all the bookings through Virgin and she had to be at the airport at 12.30pm for a 1.40 flight.I think it depends on who you book through. We use both dogtainers and Virgin direct to get the best price

    Asher

Such a wonderful precious boy RIP Asher
  10. We have friends travelling from Tassie for that. Have a great time, breed nationals are the best
  11. 20 kg and 13 weeks OMGoodness. I hope that included the crate Adult GSD female 5 years 59 cm and 26.2 kg Own crate Launceston to Melbourne $125.00 Adult Weimaraner female 3 yrs, 26kg Hobart - Melbourne $187.00 (owner supplied crate)
  12. Have flown dogs in and out of Launceston every day of the week at varying times the only restrictions on times is at weekends to the best of my knowledge.
  13. redangel I am new to all this but I can share my experience with regard my new camera. My family bought me a Canon 450D with twin lens kit from Harvey Norman. Extended warranty, memory card 4gb sandisk extreme sdhc, a camera bag/pouch type carrier and 2 Hoya UV filters for just over $1400.00 but I had also been savng for a while so all in all I think with all it came with including the extra warranty it was not a bad buy. Here in Launceston Tas its the lack of choice thats frustrating. We have Harvey Norman, Stallards and a small Kodak shop. We are lucky here at our local Harvey Norman we have two people in the camera section who are photography savvy so thats a help and they were very good. Extra accessories there are quite expensive. The original warranty was 12 months and we got the extension that runs for another 36 months. They send them away to be fixed I think and I have heard it can take while to get them back Am much wiser since coming in here and learning heaps. I think my new lenses will be from DWI (digital world international) with the mack warranty and my Lowepro Bag I saved for and bought on Ebay (they are just so over the top price wise here)
  14. Thats why I was reluctant to add mine some of these collections are amazing
  15. One GSD female and her owner from Launceston to Melbourne one way was 195.00 (125.00 for the bitch) and a cheaper air fair coming back its was 178.00. Can only fly Virgin out of Launceston and they have limited flights weekends as the freight section is now Toll and they do not open as aften as they did.Flying out of Hobart is not so hard friends of ours took 3 to Sydney Royal all on the same flight and all three cam back on the same flight. You have Qantas and Virgin at the southern end.
  16. I have the following Canon 450D Canon EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 IS Sandisk Extreme SDHC Card - 2 x 4GB and 3 x 8GB Both have UV filters and I also have a coupld of polaroid filters a friend gave me as she does not use them. About to purchase a Lowepro Versapack 200 AW (Friday) Wish list - Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM and Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro USM Edited to add the fliters
  17. Great lists and some lovely equipment
  18. So love that list especially the bags
  19. great pics but gee OUCH!!!!!! Really like this one
  20. Budget for it......on a pension Well yes, from puppy money and the other things that some do to earn extra on the side, like dog bathing and grooming.Yes things can be hard on limited income but it can be done.
  21. Well I don't think it should be exempt. These big events come but once a year for GSDs and like most on limited incomes we save to go to these things. We are no different to other states like WA.
