  1. Wouldn't have much luck trying to get them from the Netherlands. The Dutch are apparantly very protective over the breed, hence why it's so rare everywhere. I find them interesting, they are the only other breed with the same function as Tollers and are thought to play some part in Toller development. They are pretty little by the sounds......would be good little sporting dogs :D Yeh tollersowned they are only small, not much different to the size in the Tibetan Terriers I have now. Tibetan Terriers are fantastic at agility etc. I suppose the Dutch would have to be protective of the breed as they have done a lot of work healthwise and letting them out of their hands could undo their hard work. Be nice to see some in Oz though.
  2. There are so many lovely breeds overseas, would be nice to see a few of them over here.
  3. http://kooikerexpress.com/kooikerhondje-breeder-list/ Interesting reading this. I love the look of these dogs. Still even fairly rare in North America, if you were thinking of importing it would probably be better coming from it's original country.
  4. When I come home from being out, I always say "Did you miss me", and lots of conversations during the day. Mindy is a talker, and the more excited you get her the louder she talks back, so funny to hear. I'll never forget when I was still single and living at home we had a White German Shepherd at the time and she would make her own games, but this day mum and the neighbour were talking at the fence, and she kept shoving the ball at mum, so mum said to Kimba, go and see if the postmans been and next thing she came back with the mail and the neighbours jaw dropped nearly to the ground. She loved collecting the mail and would always wait for the postman to come and go and get it.
  5. Just looked up the pyrenean shepherd pics, and they are beautiful too. Be nice to see a few different breeds in Australia. I love Schapendoes too, but none in Australia . Link: http://www.chien.com/Races/does
  6. Gorgeous looking dogs, I am surprised that no one has brought any in to Australia. Then again, this is the first I have ever heard of them. Could see myself with one or two of them. Similar size to my Tibetan Terriers.
  7. Beautiful shots Rach. Very clear. Is that rose a Miniature rose ? Love the bird shot too.
  8. Yes I have always been able to feel Hollys chip, it is just near her shoulder. She is 11 yrs old and was microchipped in Sydney as a pup.
  9. Good idea, I'm sure they would appreciate the quality pics. Close-ups are fantastic.
  10. Really good shots there, tdierikx. Something you don't see every day.
  11. Gee Rach, when does it end. You can rest assured that if you hadn't befriended her all those years ago, she would not have had the wonderful life she had. Same with all the others that have gone to that big happy playground in the sky. You did your very best for all of them, so don't blame yourself for not getting Tess desexed. Run free now beautiful Tess and meet up with all your friends.
  12. Frodo's mum, if you send me a couple of pics of BJ & Izzy I can add them to the siggy if you like. I still have the template.
  13. Birds mainly, but flies are another one. Their main ambition is to catch one of the helicopters that fly fairly low over our place. As soon as they hear one, they go racing up the yard chasing it, I have no idea what they think they are going to do with it once they catch it.
  14. Jack was calling him Kane earlier. (after the wrestler). I like that, and I reckon it suits him too.
  15. He's a very handsome lad Rach, hope he fits in well. No doubt Jack will give him a new name.
  16. This is a great video. So clever, and the dogs are sooooo good. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=EVwlMVYqMu4&vq=medium#t=125
  17. Nice clear pics. Doggies are loving their modeling jobs. Pity Jasmine wasn't giving you a cheesy grin like Jack.
  18. Do you know where in Qld HollyMilo? Your pups are very cute also :) I don't know if this is the same pup you are talking about, but there was a 15 week old SBT pup that had been missing from his owners place since last Wednesday, I was looking on face book to see if there was any further reports on him, but nothing. He is from near Rocky. Devlin the pup taken from Bouldercombe is the one who was killed then returned to his home. Poor little buggar, Devlin was a gorgeous looking pup. Was hoping for good news, but so sad. His owners and breeder must be absolutely devastated.
  19. Love the pic of Codes with the silly look on her face, only a sibe could pull a face like that. Doggies are looking good. Pleased you are having fun with your camera.

  21. Hey Rach, I see the mosquito has changed into a spider. The wildlife seem to love that particular flower. Nice pics. There will be no stopping you now with the new camera.
  22. HI Kirislin, I have had quite a few aged dogs, some get arthritis and some don't. Cartrophen injections are good but each dog responds differently, it works really well on some and not on others. It is a course of 4 injections given one week apart and usually last for 6 or 8 months, some even longer, but the thing is to get it topped up before the dog gets back to square one. One of our girls will be 16 in July, and she had a kidney scare a few years ago and was put on Hills Prescription Diet K/D and she has never looked back, also she had really bad arthritis at the same time, and since being on the Hills she can get around as well as the others, her hips are stiff and she can't move her legs apart, but can go forward and jump up onto the lounge. So if you get in early with treatment, Cartrophen injections, Sashas' Blend, shark cartledge, there a quite a few thing on the market to make their lives that much easier.
