Yes, Nova's already giving me "the look" when I pull out the thermometer..... and I only started taking her temp yesterday! :laugh:

I think they always wait until they've fooled us and given us a couple of pretty sleepless nights, just to make sure that our eyeballs are already hanging out before all the action and sleepless nights begin!

Well, that puts her in the normal whelping range - how's she acting? What do they say - puppies in around 24 hours after the drop and rise? That would put her tomorrow, which is only 2 days early, well within normal limits :)

Hmmm, Nova has been quite firm for a while now, which is just because it's so much puppy in there. I wouldn't be too concerned as long as they are still wriggling and Lei is happy and not showing signs of discomfort - but of course, if you're at all worried it's definitely worth checking with your vet - at this stage of pregnancy, no concern is an over-reaction, so they certainly shouldn't have a problem with you asking them :)

Hello 36.5 degrees! When is she actually due again? I have yet to successfully catch the temp drop and raise!

Awww, special cuddles to Nyx! More BBQ chicken might help :) I so count my blessings that we have never had a girl go off of her food when pregnant - it must be so incredibly frustrating!

Fingers crossed it's all smooth sailing for you from now on :) Moved the whelping box into the office yesterday, which Nova has immediately taken over, which is great! I've had some girls who ignore the box until they start having puppies, so it's nice to have one who has decided that it's worth claiming before whelping! A week to go, so temperature taking will start this morning as well. Getting very nervous now!

The babies kick me when I try to give her tummy gentle anything! Plus, she has trouble balancing on her back now :p My little walrus!

She's going very well :) 8 week "fatty" photos will be taken tomorrow :D The box is in place, and she's currently sleeping in it :)

You should be able to start feeling faint movements now, eschlachter - and it is totally possible that you saw them too :) Just rest your hands oh so gently on her belly, while she's on her back and you might feel little flutters :D You may even get a good kick now and again! In a weeks time, you will be easily seeing and feeling movement :) I think that Nova is no larger than her mother was at the same stage, although she has gained more weight than her mother. Feonix had 7, so I'm putting Nova somewhere between 8 - 10 :)
