  1. Yesterday's 1 week old photos Blue, Green and Brown The "little" girls - Orange, Purple, Red and Yellow The big girls - White, Black and Burgundy We have our first puppy over 1kg this morning - Blue weighed in at 1035grams! They're actually gaining weight very quickly for such a large litter, so it appears that Nova has lots of milk, but the downside is that we're dealing with some upset tummies at the moment from too much of a good thing!
  2. Going well here - growing like weeds and gaining weight like there's no tomorrow! Our littlest girl is now 590 grams, and doubled her birthweight today at day 6 :) A couple of the others also doubled today, and the rest aren't far off. Our biggest pup is the last born, white girl, who now weighs 840 grams! Nova is a very good mum apart from a reluctance to fully toilet them, which means that we spend around 3 hours a day stimulating puppy bums with cotton balls - I'm far too intimate with their bums at the moment! Trying to get back into client work today - had all of last week off - but not sure how successful I'm going to be
  3. Not that I'm aware of? They might be spreading their wings far and wide - looks like there might be a few going interstate and maybe further - but I don't think NSW is one of the places :) Mind you, I could be suffering from puppy brain, too!
  4. Nawwww, she's such a sweetie! And definitely a smooshable face!
  5. That's gold!! Nova is Smooshy Face, and we have a Fee-Fee (Feonix's nick name - I've always like the idea of Fee-Fee the rottweiler :p ) Neo is Doodles Radar is Gooby Dog And the pretend rottweiler is Bubby Girl Don't know why we bother giving our dogs "real" names, they never get used.... unless the dog's in trouble, of course!
  6. Psst, hey - add me on Facebook if you like - I do lots of puppy updates there too :) https://www.facebook.com/tracie.mcintosh.7
  7. Oh, I think there's no question that you would be a suitable home :) Besides, anyone who calls their rottweilers Woosie, Blossom and Punkin gets bonus brownie points from me! You can't know how thrilled I was when I got a puppy buyer last time who wanted to call their boy Bruce - I love Bruce as a rottweiler name. I'm slightly wierd.... and maybe a little sleep deprived.....
  8. The most important things to me - that the dog will be included as a loved family member, and that the owner will raise the dog responsibly, with appropriate training and socialisation so that the dog becomes a good ambassador for the breed :) They're probably my two biggest things that I look for - so basically people with a sensible head on their shoulders, who understand how important it is to do the right thing for the breed and for their dog :D ETA missing words caused by puppy tiredness!
  9. Ahhh, I get you! Brain not functioning at full capacity :p He was number 7 :D
  10. I don't think there is a pecking order yet, apart from Orange who will scream the house down if anyone pushes her of a teat! :p Yes, T, this is very true - puppy cuddles and puppy breath do make the mess and work so worth it :D So does seeing the puppies bringing joy to their new families, I get all gooey about that part
  11. Yes, not exactly looking forward to that part! There's a LOT of mess and work in my near future!
  12. Errr..... No :p See this is the problem with having the whelping box in the office with me, and camera at hand the whole time. I end up with stupid numbers of photos, just because they're always right there :D Of course, work does tend to suffer just slightly!
  13. Oh, I totally get that T - pack dynamics have to come first :) I'll just drown you in photos instead, deal? Maybe I can work out how to actually bottle puppy breath.... boy would that be a money spinner!
  14. OMG What??! Oh poor Nyx! And poor you, too! You're having such a nightmare run!
  15. Been in the breed since I was 3, so not going anywhere in a hurry (ok I was breeding them back then, but my parents were :p ) - make sure you talk to me when you are looking, if we can't help you then I'm sure we can help you find someone ethical who can :)
  16. So that worked? Everyone can see it? Excellent! They're still all pretty much black maggots at this stage, MadWoofter, you just learn to pick maggot features and how they will translate into puppies :p Ok - another group shot - Mr Brown is easy to find in this one VizslaMomma :D
  17. Does this work - it's a direct link to a photo on my Facebook account. The photo is public, so should be viewable, but let me know if you can't see it :) Go on, T - another dog wouldn't take up much room..... initially :p
  18. Trying to catch up with comments :) Beware the orange pup! :p Orange is the pup who gets mighty pissed off and shares her opinion! Don't make her mad, she'll tell you what she thinks. If there's a puppy going crook, you can guarantee it's orange! She's going to be a little firecraker I think, probably a bit like her mum - opinionated and full of herself :D For me at the moment, pick girl is the white collar (which is now the black collar - the white and pale gold collars were too similar in colour, so black is the new white) - just very strong throughout, lovely bone, great width of body, she's so broad across the chest and shoulders, pretty strong head (for a maggot) and looks to be nice and short in body. :D
  19. I can always change the whelping record when no-one's looking and swap blue and red around so that he's second born :p
