  1. Blue was first puppy - Nova was too :) Red girl was second born this time, so you'll just have to take her instead, T :p The two smaller ones are mighty feisty so I don't think they'll have a problem, but we always try and make sure they get the best boobie choice :D
  2. Blue is absolutely a boy - first born boy always gets a blue collar in our house, and first born girl gets a red collar :) The boys are blue, green and brown, and the girls are everything else! :) Blue is a big dufus head who Nova had a lot of trouble getting out - he held up proceedings for 2 hours while she worked on him, poor girl was exhausted after delivering just one pup!
  3. Brown collar - boy, 2:40am, 390 grams :) They are all really strong and lively :) We had to resucitate the burgandy girl, second to last and her sack had broken while she was being delivered, so she wasn't breathing by the time we got her out, but she quickly started gasping with stimulation, and now she's as good as anyone else :)
  4. My goodness! I forgot how much life goes to hell in a handbasket! I'm still wearing the same clothes I put on yesterday morning! Just letting OH have a snooze, then he can supervise while I finally manage to go have a shower and get changed!
  5. Hi guys! Thanks so much! I haven't had a chance to post in here yet - it's been a madhouse! Haven't slept since I got up at 5am yesterday - but not feeling too horrid at the moment..... I have a couple of photos, but haven't had a chance to download them from my camera and phone yet :) 10 babies - 7 girls and 3 boys (man, were the girls popular! Actually, we always seem to get more girls). Nova is exhausted and a bit growly with the pups at the moment, but she should settle in the next 24 hours as the hormones kick in. It was a long labour, starting at 10pm and the last pup born at 9.15am, so almost 12 hours.
  6. Looooong night :) 10 - 7 girls, 3 boys (unless there are more surprises - number 10 was a surprise as it was) Started at 10pm, had number 10 at 9.15am. Took 2 hours of hard contracting to get number 1 out, because he has a very broad head - the plus side is that the rest pretty much slide out like they were on a Slip N Slide! No sleep since 5am yesterday morning - coping ok at the moment, but will hit the wall this afternoon, I'm sure!
  7. That's wonderful that she was cleaning them even while come out of anaesthetic! What a good girl!
  8. Wow - we were planning to do the same - but after reading yours and rajacadoo's experiences, we won't! Thank you both for the heads up!
  9. Wow Leia - lookit all your bubbies, girl! Well done! :D We always revert back to the good old hot water bottle too, TeamSnag :) I have two that we use for puppies - tried a heated bed last year and didn't like it, so straight back to the hot water bottles! Nova says to tell you all that she's not due until tomorrow, so there :p Although, her temp this morning is down to 36.5, which is a difference considering her temp has been so incredibly stable at around 37.1 - 37.3 - so it might actually be on the way down, or on the way back up after dropping - maybe tonight!
  10. Yay! Congratulations eschlachter and Lei! 13? OMG! Would love to see photos of your babies, and TeamSnag yours too - but definitely in your own time ladies, catch up with yourselves first :) No news here - Nova is picky with food, but that's about all - puppies are still having puppy parties going by the movement!
  11. Oh you poor thing! Welcome to the world little ones! I hope it's all totally smooth sailing for you from here on :)
  12. I think she was hiding them because she still wanted them, even though she couldn't eat, and didn't want me to take them away :p
  13. Yeah, I've never had one actually go off food before and Nova is the last one I would have thought would do it! She was desperately trying to bury chicken necks in the paper in her box earlier :roll eyes:
  14. Of course, after refusing food all day, she ate dinner :p She is emptying out though, so I still think she will go sometime in the next 48 hours :)
  15. Refusing food today, so should see something start to happen in the next day or so :)
  16. Oh no! Not again! What is with this month?? Thinking of you! Please keep us informed
  17. Making progress then, that's good! Hope it all goes smoothly :)
  18. Hmmmm we have food refusal this morning - Nova looked at me like I was trying to poison her with breakfast. She hasn't dropped yet though, so I doubt that she's going to do anything just yet - still, food refusal from Nova is suspicious...
  19. All fingers crossed things go smoothly for you!
  20. Would love to see some photos, if you felt like sharing, bel :) Hopefully Beth's levels stabilise and normalise soon! Very concerning. How are you and Nyx doing indigirl? Yeah, TeamSnag - any movement at the station yet? Nova has the single most stable temperature I've ever seen - these have been her readings since I started: 16-Sep 37.7 37.1 17-Sept 37.0 37.1 37.3 18-Sept 37.2 37.2 37.1 19-Sept 37.1 37.1 At least I should get a good idea of the drop and raise, with temps that stable! Apart from that, she's just normal - getting slower, but still eating. She's as wide as she is deep, and hasn't dropped yet - but she's not due until next Tuesday :)
  21. 2 entire males here, and no problems with marking. The two boys do have separate parts of the house though, and never the twain shall meet - otherwise I'm sure there would be marking battles!
