  1. i love this topic. i have a sister in law who has had 4 dogs 1 cat and has rehomed all of them.
  2. wow im amazed how young people change them over. I did my old boy at 18months to 2 years (rotti) my pup now is a smaller size he is only a med size dog. i was thinking about the 12/18 month mark?
  3. i am going to say i did not realize it was a standard poodle my appoligys for not know out the many pics it was the big one. i just think when i read snapped at a childs face i thought small dog. not a large one. ps your dog looks lovely i do love the big fluffy poodles. I used to groom a big white girl like yours she was an amazing dog had men issues (she was very badly beaten up by a man) I hope you get help and no more problems. I am just very protective when it comes to children and aggresive pets and see that childrens saftey is the most important thing and i am not someone to type 100 extra words to sugar coat i just say it.
  4. yay sounds like you have had a good outcome and the people are resonable. I thought it might be the case of where they had it. I know with my yard there is not much choice LOL but i dont have the room for a tramp. LOL
  5. like i said i got a pup from a reg breeder. Im just saying how people think. it does come down to the all might $$ and when some breeders want 2k for a common breeder its something that will turn people off and make them look eles where. I know that will happen with my brother and partner.
  6. im a puppy owner not a breeder. I feel that (please dont shoot me) sometime for breeds that are fairly common the price of the pups are insane $1.5K and upwards. I went away from the breed i was looking at as I had one all ready he pass away at 8 they have alot of health problems and paying what they where asking i would not do it. I also feel that some breeders dont have time and are rude to puppy buyers and that really really turned me off to the point i started looking at back yard breeders both of the above reasons why i started looking to back yard breeders. I ended up finding a breeder who would spend all day talking about his dogs and the love he had and guess what............. thats where my pup come from. he answered all my questions. had time for me. My brother and sister inlaw want a pupt and they are not prepard to pay that sort of money so i know where they will end up going I try but the $$ are to high in there opinion. anyways im not sure this helps but i thought i would let you know what i seen and felt.
  7. absolutly no not rehome this dog it is dangerous. i think sleep overs are extreamly important for kids. but you have a massive dog issue. this dog is dangerous you need to get help I wonder if this was a bigger dog this dog would still be here sorry but i would have PTS the 2nd time it bailed someone up first time maybe an allowance 2nd time attacking someone good bye dog
  8. i think being poilite etc gets you a long way in the world. im someone that if you knock on my door and talk to me nice i would try if possible to help you do it the wrong way or your a pain i would tell in no terms to nick off. they might have no where eles to put it, if they are on a slop maybe thats the only flat enough bit? but i agree with others that its there back yard and they can do as they please and they have every right to jump on there tramp. I also agree give them a few weeks not even and i bet they are hardly ever on it. its fun for the first 5 mins then they will get bored all kids do but i would not expect them to move it. so i would be trying on my side. maybe if you are home adn they are out lock the dog in the house. i doubt they will stay on a tramp for very long at all. i also think its getting sad that kids are not allowed to play with out problems no wonder there is a obesity issue
  9. I use Nutro as my pup was on advance and he was doing whooper farts to i changed to nurto and no more stinky farts
  10. if its really hot like today they are in but im home if i have to go out for a min or 2 like pick up from school then he goes into his crate. if longer then its the bathroom. i did this with my old dog (minus the crate) if it was hot. But we dont have alot of shade until the patio goes up in the next few weeks.
  11. yes its a stinker here today fluffy puppy is inside and will be til a breeze comes in. hey does anyone have a reccomentdation of a cattery. puppy will prob go to my brothers or my mates (she said she will have him but im not sure how he and her berner will get along)
  12. my pup is also on nutro large breed. he seems to be heaps better on this then he was on advance (he was a stinky farting machine)
  13. yep i get these. all the time. WOW he must be such hard work and you must have hair everywhere. um NOPE bush every 2/3 weeks (only cause i love him looking good) bath well whats that? ill take him to the beach he looks awsome after a swim all white again. oh my fav i bet he stains easily LOL he sure does cant you see the stains LOL Oh and the hair you must have hair everywhere. um NOPE he malts less then my rotti did. after he passed away i had rotti hair for months out the back. apart from when i groom him or his bed no hair anywhere.
  14. well first dog was a rotti i got him 6 months before my oldest was born he was an awsome dog great with my daughter. we now have a pup he is a samoyed, my oldest is 8, then 3.5 and 1 year old. it was hard for the first few weeks but now its fine. pup is 4 months old. we have never had a issue with the 3.5 year old and the baby who is crawling. he is toliet trained (touch wood) he has the basics down pat. I dont see a problem. its totally up to you how you want to do it. also i did it with my o/h working away.
  15. was this the hillaries dog beach?? would love to know what beach only has 1-2 other dogs. i often let my 7 month old pup off lead at the beach sometimes she gets excited and forgets her recall i do go after her though and apologise. but she is gentle and normally responds or she isn't allowed off lead and if she doesn't come she gets put on lead. glad your pupper is alright No it was Rockingham i live in Baldivis we have lots of special people down here LOL I would have no issue with u if u came over and said sorry. I was more annoyed at the rotti then anything and could see a disaster that will happen.
  16. yep know this one. I took my pup to the beach (he is fully vax) as i would like him to like the beach as my partner and I with our kids and dog would like to go camping fishing etc. So we pull up another car pulls up dog gets out no lead on comes straight up to me and i ask them to grab the dog no worries they said sorry move on. So i get to the beach they go one way there is 2 other dogs off the leads all good i go the other way. so i keep my eye out as i have 3 kids and a dog. next min the lab comes running up before its half way over i yell get ur dog so they slowly come up dog goes back all good does not come back nor does the little dog. They all leave so i wait 5/10 mins. and decided to leave. I go over the little hill to then there is a park with gazebos to my right and i look across there is the rotti. NO LEAD no collor no nothing spots my pup and as soon as it did i could see by its body language it was domminate. so it comes flying up i yell out get ur dog. so i keep trying to move to my car with a baby on my hip dog on lead and my 2 older ones in tow. i keep saying gentle my pup is just super excited but u could see the rotti was being very domminate and was trying to be in a position to pin my boy. so i keep getting in its way moving closer to my car. and the dumb ass owner just keeps calling his dog and it was not listern. then proceeds to go "go to mum go to mum: WTF got no recall dont take ur freaken dog off the lead. Lucky for him my pup is just silly and not a domminate dog also or there would have been an all mighty dog fight. All i thought was u wont have a dog long mate as its going to be ripped to shreds one day when it pulls that shit with the wrong dog. this dog clearly had no repect for its owners and they are fools. and that dog will be a cause of a dog fight.
  17. thanks so much for the help. here is some pics of the monster child. he is normally very good pup but at the moment he is a little on the damanding side he will learn im sure to stop it LOL. when i first got him only a few days ago :D oh he is much cleaner now he went to the beach for a swim LOL
