So about two years ago I brought reindeer antler for my dogs and its taken them that long to work through them!!! I went to the same place where I purchased them and seemed to not sell them anymore. Can anyone direct me to where I could purchase them online......dogs are starting to redirect themselves to things they are not supposed to chew! Ta!

agreed, his name pops up time and again whenever top Stewards are mentioned. He was great when I first started out in my first couple of times in the ring

Does anyone else have any before/after pictures? I have a double coated breed and interested to know how much of a difference it makes.......(showstopper).

Tempe aka Ch Kimyata Seeker Lover Keeper at 11 months of age Tempe has done well getting her title at 8 months, frequent Bitch Challenge Winner and already knocking off the boys :) class in group and class in show winner. Cannot wait to see how she is looking at 3 years of age :)

Four......love having four :) could probably have five. Probably no more than that permanently. Mine are 4, 2, 1 and 4 months (although 4 month old is just here on a show holiday and going home soon) and I worry about there not being enough of a gap in ages so probably will not permanently add to my clan for another two years

Usually when they hit 6months old (the Jap Spitz) I find that they take a real positive turn in their house training, like a light just studdenly switches on. Until then they can be a bit of a pain, but continual reinforcement should help :) I would definately put them on grass or fake grass from day dot though, if you use pee pads I found they enjoyed peeing on any softer surface

outside? :) I presume the spitz is being taught to go outside? a little dog toilet, made using fake turf ..so that texture will be a part trigger for when she's out on grass ..rather than maybe a magazine on a couch, or newspaper on a carpet :p Toilet training is a full time job ..tiny little bladders, and no chance of 'holding on' for months ... They both look cute - thanks for the photos . How old is the spitz boy? He looks tall for a puppy ... I was about to ask the same thing. Are you sure he's a pure JS? He looks normal for a JS puppy at that age, they go all leggy. Plus depending on the lines he comes from will dictate how big he will be. If his parents are from the older stock he might be larger than 37cm. Pictures are decieving when it comes to their size.

Favourite breed is Japanese Spitz- obviously. Wouldnt want to own anything else. Plus I only like the fluffy white coats of the JS and the Samoyed, but I find the Samoyed too big. I do have individual dogs of other breeds owned by friends who I like though :)

Just a little brag.....my little Japanese Spitz girl "Tempe" aka Kimyata Seeker Lover Keeper, got her title on the Saturday of the weekend just gone by. She is a couple of days past the 8 month mark so we are quite proud of our little girl :)

Some lovely rising stars!!! Miss Tempe aka Kimyata Seeker Lover Keeper turned 7 months last week....how time flies!!!! She has clocked up 77 challenge points already beating much older and mature bitches and Gr Ch. She also took out a nice 9 point Best of Breed last week, beating her fully mature and very successful Father! Extremely thrilled with that especially in a breed where its difficult for the girls to beat the boys let alone at such a young age and been getting positive feedback from judges too. Can't wait to see how she turns out fully mature..... :)

Yep my two are the same.They are so excited to see me.......when I come back from the letterbox :laugh: I get the same reaction :laugh: "OMG where have you BEEN for the last 10 seconds??? Missed you so much!"

I have three- Male Japanese Spitz (Nearly 4 years old) a Male Maltese x (1.5yrs old) and a Female Japanese Spitz (6 months). I really enjoy having three more than I liked having 1 or 2. I might get another in 3 years time.

Some beautiful rising stars, best of luck to all! Congrats on all the great wins too :) Tempe finished her baby career with 6x Baby in Groups and 2x Baby in show. She has had 3 shows in Minor now and has picked up two RBCC against Gr Ch and older competition which I have been thrilled about! She is still quite baby like so hopefully once she grows up a bit more she might snag some groups :)

I taught a command to my baby "teeth" for when the judge is going to check her mouth. Judges were rough when checking her mouth and head when she was younger and she started to squeal and resist when they tried to check her mouth. Unfortunately this crossed a little into when she was teething. I said the command/checked teeth and reward couple of times throughout the day for about a week and she soon got the hang of it and now that she knows what to expect she is fine.

Takes mine about 30 mins to an hour to eat theirs :) They have been nomming on reindeer antlers for the last 8 months and still got a while to go yet!!!

I unfortunately have witnessed some attacks at dog parks- all of them unprovoked. I was relieved that my gut instinct told me to leave when those particular dogs came in. Some of those attacks did include adults going for 3-5 month old puppies . Fortunately, we have about 5 fenced sections to the dog park I sometimes go to. At the time I go, there is always one available for my three to have a run around by themselves. They are also meant for different sized dogs which people are pretty good about following. If someone else comes in I either move to another free section or leave.......I find my guys are not interested in socialising with other unknown dogs, prefering to just do their own individual thing whenever it be exploring or doing Zoomies. Its a shame that more dog parks couldnt be set up like this- although it wouldn't stop people coming in with dogs with issues, it gives you more options and space.

Ahhhhh we were in the ring with you well the OH was anyway with the little Lakie :) congrats on your win!! she is a cutie!! Amber got another 2 x baby in groups this past weekend brining our total to 3 for 3 shows!! just wish her legs would start growing hair lol!!! :laugh: Next show for us is Camden Ag so hoping we can do well in the 'big smoke' lol.. Oh I was admiring your little one in sweepies :D such a cutie and a little pro already! Congrats on your groups!!! I have to admit sometimes I wish my breed was hand stacked or whatever you call it. The bubs have a tough time holding their concentration on the free stack long enough for the judge to make their decision. Each week though, Tempe can hold it for just a little bit longer........I could I guess hold her to encourage her to maintain the position for the whole time, but then she wont learn how to free stack as quickly.

What a cutie pie Flaves!!!! Well done with Nova! Thanks everyone :) she is 5months now and not long until she gets to play with the big kids. She is everything I wanted and more so judges recognizing her quality is the icing on the cake :)

I don't have anything useful to add but..... and I immediately think of the smaller breeds who may only get one or two pups in a litter and keep them or sell just one......cos THAT is definitely making a profit, especially if they have paid a stud fee, done an AI, health checks, vet costs, food costs/everything else or imported semen etc plus another useless $500 down the drain to them.
