Hi, Thank for the heads up on Swann, Greg I will look them up and give them a go. I have already sent a letter to the paper and Iknow my dogs aren't angels so maybe they are upsetting a neighbour but all they have to do is come and see my as I am a reasonable person. I try to be.

Hi, What frightens me the most about what is happening is the fact that the dog fighting ring is still going. Dogs are being taken as bait dogs to excite the fighting dogs by giving them an easy kill to get their adrenalin going. We probably are being targeted as everyone else around here have big dogs. We need to be vigilant and we are going to get security cameras installed as we need to have the proof as who is doing it. I have started carrying my camers with me so that when I hear a gate rattle i sneak around the corner and snap who's coming through it. Thank you everyone for your best wishes.

Hi, I just want to warn people in the Devonport area that there is someone out there letting small dogs out of their yards. We have had it happen to us approximately 4 times some far this year, with two occurances within the last three days. We are on a suburban block with a very main road at the front and a train line at the rear so we are very aware of what could happen if gates get left open. Therefore we have them clipped shut. Our dogs have a secure dog run with a catch on the gate up the back. The other day someone took two dogs from the secured yard and reclosed the gate. Took them out past the next yard and resecured that gate. Someone then saw them and called out, so they left the dogs in the front yard with the gate open. I was home when all this went on and didn't hear a thing until my boys barked at the front door. Today these people had a go at our back fence and kicked a paling off it and was seen by workmen, who called out, so they left the dogs behind again. I have reported all this to the police and to the Animal Control at the council. I not leaving my furkids alone in the yard anymore, they can be in the house with me or I will be outside with them. So everyone please be careful and notify the police and council if anything similar happens to you. I hope it never does. This is making me feel sick so please watch your furkids Devonport.

We had a bull mastiff who was very affectionate and loyal to us and she didn't leave our side no matter what was happening or who was there. Then suddenly she started sitting by one of our dearest friends. The minute he arrived the dog would leave us and sit with him and follow him everywhere, when he sat down she would look up at his face and just watch him. It was about two months later that he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Our girl would walk beside his wheel chair in his last days. She knew he was sick even before the doctors. That was spooky.

We had a maltese who went blind quite early in her life. We got advice from our very caring vet who suggested that we give her a chance to get on with life. We made sure that all furniture stayed in there original spots as she was knew where it all was and we kept things from being put on the floor for her to walk into. She would come when she was called as we squatted down so she could come to us and feel our hands as she walked into them and we still got kisses when she got there. Give your girl time to adjust to things as they are amazing creatures our furkids.

I hope that she pulls through for you. Sending hugs to both of you.

My Griffs do the most wonderful zoomies. The can manage to go under coffee tables, between chair legs, have blowouts at the corner of the hallway and then do a u turn at the front door. Then back in the other direction they go. They do run me down at times and then jump on me thinking I want to join in with them. Oh the love of a mate is wonderful. -
Long Rant About A Scary Guy At An On Leash Oval

Hi, I would report the guy to the council and give them your story. There were obvious signs that the dog has done it before and would do it again. These are the type of idiots that need to have rules reminded to them. Good luck to you and I'm glad your puppy did well. He would be my main concern. -
He is adorable. I could cuddle him for ages.

Hi, My daughter has a rottie and she is 14. For a big dog she is amazing. She has never been sick much and is now on glucosomine for arthritis.

Thank you for the info. I too have sent for them both

Hi, Our trio will sit and watch telly with us of a night. They just love Harry's Practice and when they show dogs running around our babies want to join in by running up to the cabinet and standing up to watch. They will even bark at the screen to try to get the other dogs to take notice of them. It can get noisy.

What a wonderful set of pictures to have. I get so excited when I see pics of my babies that have left me to go to their forever homes. Every time one goes I have a cry. It's worse at the airport though. It is so nice to see that the new owners love them like I do.

Mine is on too. What a horrible thing to do to innocent animals. It makes me feel sick to think about it.

Recommendations For A Pet Transport Company?

Hi I always use dogtainers. They are helpful, reliable and care. -
I have sent my pups through dogtainers and was really happy with them. Pups arrived well and happy. The longest flight was Tassie to Nth Qld at approx 6 hours travel. I have sent them from 10 weeks of age minimum. I never met any of my buyers but talked with them and I couldn't have asked for nicer people to my babies to live with. I was asked to visit them when I was in their areas and we still keep in touch. Trust your heart and your gut instinct on who you think would love your baby like you do.

I understand your predicament and what I have done with my puppy is to take them out to toilet and when they go I give them a small piece of cut up meat. My furkids love cocktail frankfurts so I take the skin off and cut it up into pieces and that is their special reward. No toilet, no treat. It has worked for me. When they have been and done a poo outside they usually get a couple of pieces. Once they got the idea I gave them a couple of weeks to egt used to it and then when it had become a habit I gradually cut it back to every third time they went. You might need to try a few different ways until you find the one that suits your puppy.

I know MM...the poor man who had to get his dog euthanased and the other poor buggers who had to leave their pets and the farmers seeing their stock washed away, it is truly heartbreaking.... http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/flood-v...6-1225979879229 It's make me feel sick to think of the losses that people are going through with these floods. It is everything, their homes, their work and their animals, whether they are cats and dogs or cattle. I think the death of the animals is far worse as they would suffer so badly before they were actually gone.
