  1. From the Murray river curly coated retriever Association site. '' The association advocates on behalf of breeders to local councils and state governments. We will be able to advise on potential pairings (how closely related they are etc). Breeders will be able to sell your pups as registered with the association and the association will issue the pedigree certificate based on information provided by the breeders. The association record keeping will assist breeders with their compliance requirements. Down the line this will become significant when we are engaging with government and other organisations. for recognition as a distinct breed.'' efs
  2. Not fair ,I want puppy cuddles too.I wonder where the wrinkles are from.Any name ideas yet ?
  3. I met a couple of Murray curlies and thier owners about 10 years back. They said then they hoped to be ANKC recognised in the future.I haven't heard if they are any closer to this. It's vague how they first came to be in Australia.I think they look similar to the pictures i have of American Water Spaniels and The Boykin Spaniel ;and wonder if either of these breeds found thier way here from America years ago and if they could be related....
  4. Oh...They grow so fast ,wait untill thier all running around; little sweet hearts..Blossoms blue fawn girl is my favourite .
  5. I think it's meant to be a Labrador or Lab x
  6. I did a dog breed quiz for you and got French Bulldog as a 100% match...If you want to try some ..google ..these, select smart dog breed selector quiz or K9 country dog breed selector and Animal planet dog breed selector. They are just a guide;you need to meet your breeds of choice to see if they suit you.

  10. Any luck yet finding a Cavalier...I see Hooper has now been adopted.
  11. Blue Cross in Wonga Park Vic have listed a male cavalier 1.5 year old.""hooper''. bluecrossanimals.org.au
  12. If you like the spaniel look then a Cavalier as someone mentioned earlier may suit.I had 2 as a child, they are very quiet, mine rarely barked. They enjoy a walk and are relaxed indoors.
  13. Ask to put a notice in local schools bulletins.Kids may have found her or know who has her.
  14. With cats you need to avoid delicate breeds'; go for ones with some coat, smooth coats are easily scratched when playing with a cat so are bulging eyes. I've had cats and dogs together. My pointer was scratched in the eyes by my cat. The Tibetan spaniel sounds a good match.
  15. Assistance dogs Australia sometimes have pups for sale,Labs and Goldens, that don't make it through the program. www.assistancedogs.org.au You can also help raise or train one of thier pups for about 16 months too.
  16. Samanic Weim or Samani Weim or Samanick Weim or Samanik Weim ...from your familys names.
  17. Oh yes ;then one would hope there would be less rude arrogant people in the world. Is that a dig at me? :) Less heart problems, less diabietes, less dissabilities and hopefully more and more intelligence This topic is about dogs, not people. Do you really believe in Eugenics? That people should be 'bred' the way dogs are? Read post 20.
  18. Oh yes ;then one would hope there would be less rude arrogant people in the world. Is that a dig at me? :) Less heart problems, less diabietes, less dissabilities and hopefully more and more intelligence ......No not a shot at you....I take offence when people joke about breeding humans in the same way as animals . This was tried in war time with people being exterminated because they had disabilities or were considered not intelligent enough. efs

  20. Willow;..I was just sitting here wondering the same thing. If i was a dog breeder i would go with temperament every time .The dog that was not close to standard could still produce some pups that were of a good standard and better than thier parents and have the good temperament.I found this was often the case when breeding Budgies. I would say it would be the same with dog breeding. If i'm wrong i'm sure someone will explain this to me.
  21. ''Bully'' or'' bull breed ''was used for any breed with ancestry from English Bulldogs or Bullterriers. This would include French Bulldogs and Boston Terriers.
