  1. In what state??? You can also get it at the Pet Warehouse in NSW here in Alexandria.
  2. We had the same problem with all mince including chicken mince. I have now been feeding turkey mince for the last 5 months and havnt had an issue with the tummy/ stools at all, we source the Turkey Mince from a wholesaler out at Yennora for $1.60 a kg.
  3. I have a very fussy boy that I feed Turkey Mince to, that too is quite a lean mince. Chezzyr - I also threw the kibble on the ground as an experiment when they went through a refusal stage and it actually worked!! After 3 days refusal I thought would could I lose . Now he gobbles his brekkie. Edited to get rid of those damn spelling gremlins.
  4. Please forgive my ignorance but is changing from say EP holistic Fish to say EP Holistic Duck classified as change of diet???? Even though they are the same branding is it possible to rotate between the two to give your dog change and variety with the expectation of a good result??? (bearing in mind both are compatiable foods for the pooch.)
  5. I owuld like to know as well? anyone? Yes I use it, and have had great results to date. We are considering herbal alternatives through supervision with my vet though. However having major problems getting him to take the herbs. The herbs must have an awful taste due to vegemite not even able to mask it. He currently gets the injection every 6 months.
  6. There is a website for Supercoat however it doesnt have the ingredients listed; http://www.supercoat.com.au/dir016/superco.../LifecycleRange
  7. Both furkids have allergy issue's and unfortunately Natural Balance didnt show any improvement. My older boy also runs off the smell of an oily rag and is wellknown for his laziness. However since they have been on EP (Spud is on Holistic Anchovy and Toby on Senior) I have even noticed a difference in there moods and energy levels. Spud has suddenly become that hyporactive loon I once knew before his patella went, and Toby WANTS to play and run instead of walk, smell and be dragged. If you want a change of taste for you pooch the pet store in Haberfield sells the 3 kg EP pack in 6 different varietys .
  8. I have actually switched from Natural Balance to EP. I have to admit that EP seems to be working much better with a noticable improvement in coat/ energy level/ and stools. Every dog is different though.
  9. We prefer Turkey Mince, much lower in fat and gentler on the tummy.
  10. We get around the dog fur by using a throw as "their" blanket. That way we can just rotate and wash every second day with out worrying about the actual doona and sheets getting dirty. In theory is sounds good, but in practice I think you get the same result..... just makes OH happy thats all.
  11. Did you see that they have started a frequent buyer plan on it??? I was there yesterday buying my second bag but would only include the one I purchased yesterday due needing proof for the first one.
  12. I was wondering exactly the same thing. I also use them as training treats and one treat had a piece large enough to pull out of the treat it was either a nail of some sort or like you said quills. It actually was at the DOL BBQ and a few of us examined it quite closely (FB + SOG) and all where at a total loss of what it could of been. Would love to know what it is??????
  13. Unsure whether TianaKaeSha buys from Priceless Pets or not however that is a great price for what is being charged here in Sydney. 2.67 bag = $24.95 (Approx) Just under a 6kg bag = $59.95 Therefore me thinks it is a no brainer the best bargain would be the 15 kg bag for $69 (+ freight) Unfortunately we dont feed enough to go through a 15kg bag that would take us nearly a year.
  14. I have just changed over myself a fortnight ago from Eukenuba FP response and Eukenuba Low Cal. The great thing Spud who has a history of food allergies is doing well and Toby runs off the smell of a oily rag and isnt putting on weight with it at all. Still only early days however happy with the results so far.
  15. How did you go Cloud???? I am currently using the wound care 18+ on my boy, he had an op on friday to take a pin out of his leg and decided to rip out his 2 stitches overnight. Vet is happy with me dressing the wound myself (currently 3x daily) though he had never used Manuka Honey. After 24 hours though the wound is healing very nicely!!!!
  16. O NOOO...... RIP Little Pirate Condolences for you both Rozzie and Trisven13. I have been following Pirate's adventures since day 1. Thinking of you both. Carol
  17. 1.70 per kg Turkey Mince + $4.00 for the veges - we cook a stew with rice and pasta added due to personal preference and it is what our dogs do best on. They are on FP response due to allergies which is $28 permonth. Total: $0.70 cents a day per dog.
  18. O I am so sorry about your loss Vehs. Plenty of to you. RIP Princess Nub
  19. Christie, Can you tell me what Paws for Fun is??? Is there a website for info??? Thanks Heaps Carol
  20. I too did the same as Kit Kat and for the same reasons. The dogs actually went to Hanrob with one dog being 12 months and the other 4 we at the time had only owned both dogs for 6 months. Very happy with the results and the dogs definately came back healthy, happy and fit. We go out to hanrob on a regular basis for the sat morn classes and we are very happy with the progress we have made as a team. Would I do it again?? Depends on cirmcumstances. Would I reccomend them? Yes but not for a pup so young.
  21. Ok I just ran away and got a pic of the scar in its entirety is this normal??? As I said I was expecting at least half the size :D NOTE that it goes all the way up his thigh. ;)
  22. O spud definately didnt grasp the thou shall not walk lecture!!! ;) I have to say after two mutilated e-collars this one seems to have got the better of him.... for the moment . Corine I have joined the group it was fairly easy already holding a yahoo ID, I am just sifting through now as we speak and there does seem to be some good hints in there!! We think the rash is an allergic reaction combined with the constant friction of him prancing around thinking he was normal (yes he was confined for 80% of his day)he wasnt licking excessively due to some wonderful vet strength anti lick that with the conjuction to the cream that was administered 5 times a day. I also was amazed on how big the op scare was I have to admit I was prepared for maybe a 2-3 inch scare not around 7 inches - the vet that perfomed the op is currently on leave and unfortunately will have to wait until he gets back to get the answers. Edited to ad - see the tape on the e-collar that is definately covered with Anti-Lick, one is leaving NOTHING to chance!!! :D
