Apparently feliway keeps snakes away, they hate the odor.
-
Let it in the house and then call, they'll be there in a second

http://www.snake-away-services.websyte.com.au/site.cfm?/snake-away-services/contact/ Also go onto snake and reptile forums and groups on fb. A lot of people who own venemous snakes have their snake handling certificates.

some SES crews also have snake catches as well
-
try the reptile park or national parks and wildlife

Killing a snake is very much illegal and dangerous. You are sort of near the reptile park, I would call them and get their advice.

They do and I am not opposed to a bark while playing, or a warning bark or a I wanna go out bark is fine. But I don't tolerate barking for the sake of it.. The dogs next door will bark at leaves moving, birds flying over, cars going past. They start any time from 5 am onwards and continue on and off most of the day.. He is never home, they are never walked or played with. I realise it isn't the dogs fault but for 10 years it has been going on. Our rangers have a chat every now and then but he knows them all and nothing is ever followed up. ETA, I have a talker. Zig follows you around woo wooing and huffing and growly noises while we are getting ready to go for a walk, or while I am cooking or even when I am in the shower.. I think his chit chat is really cute but it doesn't bother anyone and it isn't annoying to me and he will stop if I tell him to.. That sucks for you, so sorry you have to put up with that. My dogs don't bark a lot and they're always told to shut up when Baxter starts them. I couldn't imagine living next to that.

Yep WIRES have snake peeps
-
Haha Telly sometimes does tht but they're onto her now lol

Dogs bark though. I understand nuisance barking, lke barking all the time or for prolonged periods, but normal barking is to be expected.

A chicken carcass each for breakfast, half for the littlies.

I don't think it's crap. It's just dogs being dogs, if it was annoying I would stop it but it's not a thing that happens a lot and it's kind of funny.

I have a little dog here that starts all the barking, every time. Baxter is jerk, I swear. He also abuses his power. He'll walk out into the middle of the yard and bark at nothing then watch all the other dogs run off in a million directions all barking at nothing. He'll then walk back to his bed and sit on it surveying his handiwork. Maybe 1% of the time he is actually barking at something that warrants barking at, the rest of the time he just does it for his own amusement. I'll then come out at tell them all to be quiet and he'll be sitting their wagging his tail looking innocent. He's a bastard! Do you have an instigator?

Large breed dogs imho should be desexed after they've finished growing. I don't know where the thread is.

OK, thanks for the heads up. -
I need a very large flock of nesting birds to land in my yard and take it all away
-
Maybe call the pound directly and ask them to email his photo and info?
-
Sell it as authentic Mo-hair jumpers.
-
 Yes Mo gets pretty upset if he spots any type of intruder, be it bird, cat, fly, especially mosquitoes... I like that he has lots of hair because I can call it Mo-Hair :D Haha I have Am-mo-hair (not as punny)

No birds are allowed in our yard lol, Ammo is overly protective of his hair. he has a Peewee nemesis that teases him from the rooftops

Advice Wanted Re: Problem Dog

Some kelpies are just bred hyper and it's a genetic fault. When I was out west there was a little black station kelpie that would literally run until she dropped and then she'd try to run some more. She barked non-stop and was a complete nutbag, she was one of their best dogs though but they couldn't keep weight on her because she just burned everything she had. Apparently her mum was the same way. Just nutty lines of ADHD kelpies. -

You said you tried her on cattle, have you tried her on sheep? They're a similar size to other dogs. Have you tried tracking or training for search and rescue? A lot of super hyper dogs do well with a job they really have to focus on. -

My dogs do that usually when their energy levels are up and they're suddenly stopped, I think it's physiological
