I finished at 4am, had to get up at 8 to walk a dog and unlock work for one of the girls, then went to bed from 9 - 1, so i am good Atlas has only just crawled out of bed (my bed) bloody lazy dog he is!

thank you! At this stage it LOOKS like i have Tuesday off, just need to see if i can borrow a car on gas (dads) so it doesnt cost a fortune to get there, should know tomorrow - it will fit in a normal car? Does any time suit you? Is tuesday ok?

We had a dog at the kennels who started to pass blood, he was very sick and it came down to the Rimadyl, took him off it and he was ok, one very lucky dog so what the hell is the best thing for a dog with arthritis?

still not sure at this stage, i have tuesday off at this stage, but need to see if my other job can cover my shift, if not i will have to go in... would that suit you? IF I can get there? If not, i may have to leave it till the week after

I am waiting waiting for my roster, if i have a day off next week I am going to go for a drive and grab one (if they are ready!)

Atlas is starting on Sashas Blend tomorrow, will have to look into fish oil, can i ask someone, how much fish oil or tablets would you give a 27kg dog? sorry to Hijack1

thanks everyone, never thought of straw! might give that a go... i can just see the mess it will make if he wants to kill it :p Bean bags are a HUGE NO, 6 years later I am still picking beans up from time to time (as is my neighbour) from the last bean bag Atlas had... I got some Sashas blend at work and starting that tonight. I am in Orange, happy to test drive if you can get it here to me!! I could even come for a drive and pick it up when i get a few days off, Even the top of the range (cant remember what they are called now) bedding i had made from Great rugs has been chewed apart

Atlas wouldnt get up this morning, when I finally got him out of bed, he could hardly walk, he has arthritis in his front feet. He was moved to senior food a little while ago, and next pay day i am starting him on Sashas Blend, he has also had cartrophin (sp?) injections, a set of four, last one was only 2 weeks ago, they seemed to have worked, till this freezing cold snap hit. I have to go to work now, and as he chews EVERYTHING, the only bedding they have out there are tramp beds and kennels with carpet in it, nothing overly soft. Does anyone have any ideas?? I want to give him something soft to lay on, but just can not work out anything that he is not going to eat It is freezing outside and I feel so horrible going to work, but really dont know what to do - If i leave him inside in his crate i still have the same problem, as he will chew any soft bedding. Will check replies at lunch time, will duck home to check on him He is only 8. i thought i would have a bit longer till I would have to worry about this sort of stuff

At sleeps on The lounge or bed in whatever room I am in, kaos hangs out under my bed!

Glad He is ok, i know exactly how you feel, atlas is 8 next month and still can not be left alone, pulls washing off the line and chews everything. The amount of things that he has destroyed is amazing. I could have written your first post 100 times over. Good luck, hope you can find a way to keep him out of the garage

I knew when I was 8, and my brother came home with a 5 week old (i know.. the owner was going to drown the litter because they were too much hassle ) SBT that i would always have one in my life. I love Bull Terriers, but if i have to pick, it is the SBT that wins hands down. I will always have one in my life

I have two meds here, but they are now outside toys, they have been that chewed that they have dirt and stuff in them, the dogs keep trying to bring them inside, but i wont let them! So i want 2 more for inside toys! They are the only toy that has last more than a few months, these ones are 3 years old and still going strong, they love them even without the treats in them! the treats dont take them long either, but it is just something different and i give them to them when I am busy and dont have time to walk them :p (and that seems like most days at the moment :D )

Hi All I am looking at getting 2 of these: http://www.premier.com/View.aspx?page=dogs...one/description But there are no shops here in town that sell them, and I can not find anyone in Australia that sell them online (a DOLer has been trying to get them and they have told her they wont allow online sites to stock them ), I have contacted the company a few times with no reply. Has anyone noticed them online somewhere for sale? Or do you know any shops that sell them? I am after two med/large or large ones with refills. Would love a shop name so I can ring them, so i can get the refills as I need them! thanks!!

I have had a few people tell me that I have killed dogs in shelters because I have pure breeds, and a few people told me the same when I got Sumo, that all cats are the same and that I could save many for the amount I paid for him. I like knowing what I am getting! I give up now, i get way more comments when I have both dogs with me, not too many say anything about Kaos, but a lot of people hate Atlas :rolleyes: I used to fight back with the comments, now i pick my battles and walk away if there is no chance of teaching the other person anything. I had someone, years ago, tell me that if they lived near me, they would bait my dogs or shoot them
