I want to re do mine, but do my block training in melb
-
i feed one of mine once a day, the other twice. I found feeding Atlas 2 times caused him to be up and down all night going to the toilet (inside dogs, so a total pain) Kaos is a skinny cow who needs more food, so i give her a cup of food at night or a bone or something to help keep her weight on
-
Even tho kaos seems ok around dogs she knows, i have never risked letting her touch another dog, i know what she could do, would be a different story if i had someone who knew what they were doing on the end of the other dogs lead, but that isnt going to happen, so i wont let her near other dogs. She does play with Beryl the bull terrier bitch at work, through the fence, they both love each other with a fence or a crate between them, but both are shit one on one with other dogs!!
-
Kaos is much better around dogs she knows, i can go walking my normal path, and if there is a dog in a front yard, she ignores... Unless it is a NEW dog, then she will go off. I found this in training as well, she was fine in our class, but if someone else joined, it would take a few weeks for her to be ok around that dog

please!! i have the day off tomorrow, so im up for it!!!

Why did you get 3 dogs when you cant afford treatment for them? I have 5 pets, and would love more, but i know there is no way i could afford it, i have an account with my vet, that i only use if it is an emergency. If i did not have the account, i would not have gotten as many pets as i have.... No matter what is wrong with my animals, and how broke i am, my pets NEVER do without, there is no way i would let one limp for a month before doing something about it?

We dressed my boss up as a clown and got him on the ride on mower with a chain saw (We got high) god, how i wish i had a camera!!
-
I thought 2 weeks as well?
-
they not mental... just special
-
i have a boring dog, and a crazy, i couldnt have 2 like Atlas, i would be bored out of my mind, and 2 of kaos? i would be in a mental hospital! I love my mix and wouldnt change either of them!!
-
We have many dogs who come in on drugs cause they are hypo Im amazed my vet HASNT offered to put kaos on drug My new vet was laughing so much at her she couldnt give her her injection!! Kaos was going nuts!! and just like you, i love my crazy dog and would never drug her to make her different!!! all my vets now know to ignore her, treat her, THEN rev her up, otherwise it takes 2 people to hold her still!!

I have just been quoted this website at another forum, about pittys being dangerous dogs... http://www.resource4dogbitelaw.com/whydogsbite.html

Is he crate trained? I would be mad if i didnt have my bully crate trained, he is worse then what you have said about your staffy, and he is 6 this year!! I love my crate! Thankfully, my staffy is very well behaved, she is 4 next month, and only chewed a phone and a remote control
-
thats the thing, if he needed anything else done, i would be happy to take him in and do it all at once, but he is totally fine, teeth are fine, everything is (for once )
-
Thanks guys!! He is 5.5 ( :D time is going way too fast) so not OLD, but not young. He is over his other sickness, whatever it was! I will try to grab a photo of it sometime, but it is just a black lump. Being on his leg/foot, there is no way i am doing anything with it - it will be done under vet treatment, Atlas and people touching his feet are a big no no!!!
-
well, not sure if it is proper name, but each vet has called it a wart, and it looks like one! Not keen on using human medication for it, but will see if it is still bugging him on monday thanks
-
Does anyones dog have warts? Atlas has had one for a while, it has been checked out by a few different vets, all who have said it is just a wart, and not to worry about doing anything unless he has to go under for something else (it is on his foot, so will be a bad operation for him as he HATES anything to do with his feet) I have noticed the last few days he has been really licking and chewing at it and am now wondering if i should book him in to get it removed? He hasnt been 100% the last few days, not totally sure what is going on with him, but will book him into the vets if no better by monday, but he is just sitting here chewing it now, and thought i would ask on here for now and see what others have done if their dogs have had them?
-
yep, i get it from Atlas's fur, as well as one other Bull Terrier at work, no other dogs do it, and no other Bull Terriers, i thought it was a bully thing, but i can play with others and have no problem!

Mainly Kibble Only Diet, What Do People Think?
Teebs replied to snr's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Well, im lazy and feed poison to my dogs and guess what they are both healthy and happy  i tried BARF, didnt work for me or them. They get nurtience, they get bones now and then, they get fresh mince with it as well, the cats are also on nurtience, and we wont be changing anytime soon I work in a kennel and do pet sitting, i know many dogs who are on a dry food only diet, and they are all happy and healthy -
I used the crate for my dogs, once they were in bed if they cried, they were taken outside, and i would wait for them to go to the toilet, once they did that, they were taken inside, into their crates, and back to bed. It didnt take them long to work out crying = outside. If they are inside and just want to go out, they will come and cry and let me know. I am a really deep sleeper, Atlas usually holds it during the night, kaos always needs to go - after me sleeping through her crying and a few mistakes, she now comes and noses me if i dont hear her cry

I get them too, last year was shocking, but not as bad this year!
-
all is well, they arent going after her for being a DD (after it going in the paper she tried to bite the ranger) so he seems to think it is the end of it all
-
might go shoot the owner a message, see if there is any more news on her.
