I am doing it at the moment, go to sydney Saturday for my training block! I am loving it, normally i would find the work load fine, (at this stage!) but i have had a crap few months and have had a lot on my mind! so been struggling to do what is needed by this weekend. I have done one assessment, and have already learned a lot. I work with dogs every day, 7 days a week, so it is nice to have something behind me!

How I bath kaos? walk into wash room, she jumps into the bath. I stand back a few meters, and spray her with the hose till she is wet all over (she attacks the water as it comes out she LOVES baths) Turn hose off, (always warm water) shampoo her . Stand back and spray again until i think she is clean. Go outside, fill clam shell with water, let her splash around in that like a mad woman till all shampoo is off - if worried she still has shampoo on, i turn the hose one her. I love water dogs, but she is drives me MAD when bathing her! My work mates have refused to do it for me! She was at work Sat night - the girls did all they could to make sure she didnt get wet, it was FREEZING, they did well... till the put her back into the kennel and the shit head jumped in her water dish with her good coat still on

Well, i am even more confused! Have found out my vet DOES do the KC needle, so will be doing that, 3 year vac, with KC But i found out that another vet does a C5 - but their C5 does not include a KC shot? That you have to get a C8 to get KC in it? I thought they were all the same an a C5 had the same things in it no matter where you got it from??

Nope, Duke is dads boy. This is just for Kaos and Atlas - not sure if i like the up the nose one - life would be easier if i didnt like my dogs and didnt actually want to take them to work with me!!
-
We got a dog in at work who has had a C3 (not the 3 year one) and then had to get the KC to board - have gotten vet details and will be ringing them as soon as i can to ask about it - i dont want to change vets... and hate the other ones here, but if they do it, than i will go there
-
Vet wont titer test, not yet anyways Said just because the results are XXXX one day, does not mean they will be the same the next day *sigh* So you CAN get a KC vacc? thats all i really wanted to know - so i can get the 3 year C3 vac, than get the KC every 12 months. (need it for work)
-
Thats ok, im with you - last time i asked for a C5 only they tried to talk me out of it - but at least they have the 3 year one... i guess? He also said another reason they dont want to do the 3 year one is because most people Only come in for the vaccinations - it gives them a chance to check the dog over, i guess in a way i can understand that, but couldnt they send reminders out for the pets once a year check up? I love my vets, but at times they drive me mad. (And no, no option of changing! Only 2 other vets here and both you wouldnt get me to go near!)

Kaos is due for her needles next month, and i have been trying to sort this 3 year vaccination out. I talked to my vets, who normally give a C8 vaccination every time you go in there. He said they did do a trial on the 3 year one, but said that it is only a C3. That what I need to do is get a C5 with the kennel cough in it every year, and then the C3 once every 3 years. HE said they are not going to be using the 3 year needles, but do have some on supply if i wanted to go ahead with it. Can someone dumb it down for me? Is it a C3 vaccination? and if so, can i get the Para and Bord injections done every year on their own? Kennel Cough is BAD here at the moment, and to take my dogs to work they need the C5. (and I only want to give them a C5) I have run a few vets in other towns, and so far my vet is the only one who has it in stock and willing for me to use it. Thanks ! Cin

Kaos is 16, had her drop 2kgs a few weeks ago, but had a vet trip and she is back to her normal 16. I would like to put a bit more weight on her for winter, but no matter what i do, she is always skinny!! (wish i had her body!)
-
Ditto - BUT does she have the room to store it all? I would be getting Chinese containers and making it all up for them, one per day, all she will have to do is undo the lid and chuck it out to your dog

Maybe crate him while you are eating? Kaos, my SBT does the same thing when i am getting her food ready, it drives me mad, and it is at 6am in the morning.. i am sure the neighbors love it as well  I now leave her inside while getting food ready, than bring her out

I am so sorry  RIP pups

Wow, never once paid for stitches to be removed, (and i have taken dogs to different vets to do this, so not the original vet who did the operation) I also never got charged when Kaos got an infection, i had to pay for drugs, but not the visit. Does anyone else not get pain relief? I cant remember what mine cost , kaos was about 3 years ago, and At about 2.5 years ago, my memory isnt that good!

Good, i was feeling a bit mean there for a moment... now we can be mean together

I dont take any time off. The way i see it, i would hate to have a pup, spend 24 hours a day with it, than a few weeks later up and leave it, confusing it once again. I arrange someone to check on pup during the day, and try to get pup on a friday/saturday, but they get into my routine ASAP.
